How to fix the blinking red light/bad controller connection on Arrma RC

- Today we go over the problem that could honestly happen to anyone, the blinking red light.
Arrma controllers can sometimes connect but only drive forward, no reverse. Sometimes they only have reverse, no forward; sometimes, they only have steering. This can actually be a pretty simple solution, and we're going over it in this video.
This method should work on the Arrma Typhon, Granite, Kraton, Outcast, Notorious, Big Rock, and many other Arrma models. This method should also work on 3S, 4S, 6S, and 8S power systems. Compatibility with MEGA and Boost power systems has not been confirmed but is likely.
Why does this happen?
Well, when you're transporting your controller in a bag or maybe while it's pressed up against something, that can cause unwanted adjustment on the controller, causing this issue.

For those who have red light blinking , and the controller has absolute zero signal ( no left, right turn, no reverse, no forward) . Page 22 in the arrma manual booklet shows you how to fix the issue in just 2 steps.

That's interesting 🤔 I just tried 3 working esc in the same truck and they all had red light but one of my trims was all the way left
The trim settings being wrong can really throw off the whole system!
Going to try this now on my infraction 6s it’s always giving me problems recognizing the controller…
I didn't fix mine the same as you did, mine was fixed by hitting a kart corral at about 60 miles an hour in a Costco parking lot, it fixed it. Well, it fixed the parts I could find of it

So here is a question, I have 8s kraton EXb RTR and when I run it hard the red blinking light comes on, is this related to this and or is this to indicate to let truck cool down. I always thought it would be another blinking light and color. Also I changed the LVC to setting 2 on the ESC from setting 5
We believe that model has a newer system and may behave differently. Most Arrma models will just shut off when they become overheated to prevent damage.

My felony distance is not as long as its use to..and my breaks applies on its on when its a good distance from me .. will this possible help my problem??
Possibly, but your issue sounds more like a weak or damaged receiver. A good way to test that is if you have another Arrma RC you can swap their receivers and see if the problem continues.
I ordered and Spektrum 8s ESC and every time I tried to use throttle it went back through the Lipo Tunes again over and over as I used the throttle. Still had steering though. Any ideas what might be wrong with the ESC? Spektrum was nice enough to send me a replacement as well as the 150amp esc since they realized I was putting it in my felony.
That is a pretty strange one. The only thing we can really think of is removing the batteries from the remote and setting all the trims back to 0, putting the batteries back in, and trying again.

I have the outcasts Arma 8s. When I turn the car on.
The light is blinking red but I got no throttle or no steering
I have full control but when I go to 100% full throttle on, it cuts out and then the red light starts flashing. Do you have a solution for this? My throttle toggle is neutral
You may have to perform a rebind. This is where you teach the ESC where full throttle, neutral, and full reverse is. Just Google your vehicle and rebind procedure. For example if you had an Arrma Talion, just Google "Arrma Talion Rebind Procedure". Hope this helps!

There's a switch for that on your controller.
If it goes faster in reverse than forward, you need to switch two of your motor cables.
I have the same exact car, same problem. I did everything in the video I got nothing. Batteries are full put new double A batteries in control still dose not work 🤦🤦

Did not work at all! For me. It’s a brand new 8s esc for my felony and the instructions typically say to have both steering and throttle at center. So I just have a piece of 💩. 🖕🏾Arrma, both my 6s and 8s esc’s are 💩 SHIT! I changed my steering servo and everything went reversed! Switched the transmitter and receiver only to lose power and I still had to reverse my settings again! I’m not sure 🤔 WTF! But buying this Arrma Felony has been a waste of $1,200 with the amount of accessories I’ve bought and I’ve only had it for 2 months after buying it brand new from a local hobby store.

getting tired of all these "fix" videos that are actually just user errors...
Not everyone is aware of the user error; many enthusiasts accidently bump their controller and don't realize, they also don't realize this could interfere with the binding procedures. This video just gives an option to fix the issue if your issue was caused by an unintentional user error.
@@purplerc I can respect that but, this shouldn’t be labelled as a fix since nothing is broken. Mislabelling something makes it a nightmare to find the actual fix to the real problem. I’ve just given up all together and returning my ESC, lol
