I lifted my washer up off the ground by the agitator and it still won't come off. We washed a few loads after removing the bolt, dumped scalding hot water in it, sprayed wd-40 around it. Even with vice grips and pliers on the blue spines lifting and someone tapping the hub with a no bounce it just won't come up. I don't get a click or thunk when I pull up on the tub, when I pull up on the agitator the tub comes with it and maxed out at top of travel. I'm a lil perturbed.
I just wanna know how to remove that stupid tub nut.. damn thing wont move.. would it unscrew clockwise or ccl? What you use to grab aholt and screw the thing?
I have this exact same washer. It won't spin out the water. It starts to spin and then makes a horrible noise and then stops. I found screws and nails in it and took them out (out of my pocket) and am wondering if something got through the holes and into something causing this?

Hi, I have been jerking the tub up, wiggling the agitator & pulling on the agitator on my kenmore series 500 washer to no avail, do u think that some retained water could b causing the washer to jump & buck around? Thanks Richard
I have this same washer 500 series (looks exactly like yours) except the inside has a tower with the softener hole at top. It is not spinning my clothes dry…they’re soaking wet! But there’s no water left like it’s not draining…just clothes are wet
How tight was the bolt the first time, i ended up stripping it. Got an extractor but still too hard and will not budge. Tried impact drill, channel locks, the hammer (did you tap it or hit it hard? Right on the nut?)
Just did this, the bolt is super tight. Get a socket 7/16ths, then use a hammer and keep tapping on it counter clock wise holding the bottom piece with your thumb. Once it’s off. Banging it did not work for me, get two pair of channel locks, grab it in the center/ outside where the bolt center is. Rock it back and fourth and pull up. Only place to grab on it. Every port hole was filled with change. Use needle nose and screw driver to get it out
Mine is still stuck. Did citric acid, tried lifting the rim of the basin and giving it a shake, nada. Any other ideas? I replaced the transmission hub last winter and the impeller popped off just fine. Now, I'm really at a loss and this thing isn't agitating.
Took about an hour and half of wiggling and I ran a strap under the agitator so I could wiggle both sides at the same time and it finally popped. Didn't find the missing ring but I still appreciate the video.
Anyone know how to remove the tub portion or know where to find a video of it? I need to replace the suspension rods. I have a 600 and very similar to the washer

Yeah does not seems right. Did you reset the machine and make sure it is level. When it’s not level it goes out of wack and want to complete the rinse and drain cycle
@@2010cabj Yes, girlfriend has me do the reset every week. I don't want to just throw new parts at it until something works. Running the whole load through again eventually gets it done, so I know it's not a clogging issue.
I was a washing a small load of clothes today and I noticed that the machine was agitating a little louder than usual and when I came back to check on it; the completed green light was on, but my clothes were full of water as if the machine didn't rinse them properly. I then turn the switch on rinse and drain and it sounded like the motor and belt were spinning, but the inside barrel of the machine was not spinning. It sounded like maybe a belt was slipping or something? It started to spin, but wasn't spinning continuously or fast as usual.
To reset your washing machine, unplug it from the power outlet. Then, plug the washer cord back into the wall. Finally, open and close the washing machine door six times to send the reset signal to the system components.
Struggled with getting the agitator out until I thought to use two mini picks in the center to put the force where it needs to be. Came off quickly after that. Also used some WD40- it’s a spindle that is all rusty. Put white lithium grease so maybe next time- if there is one- is easier.

Does anyone have any tips on the best way to distribute the clothes around in there evenly so it doesn’t get out of balance? It is level as far as where it is sitting!

Put my whole body weight into it n it still wouldn’t come off . Tapped around with rubber mallet while pulling hangers and wala .
