- It's that time of the year again -- NAMM 2020 - and Wildwood is here to bring you a vision of the decade to come!
Another annual tradition of the Wildwood team is our yearly morning jam with Taylor master luthier Andy Powers, and oh boy did this year not disappoint! Andy and Greg and true masters of their craft, and we wait eagerly for the day that they'll record their own EP. But until then we'll gladly enjoy the gorgeous guitars built by Andy and the Taylor team. Watch and enjoy!

Greg and Andy's jams are the highlight of every NAMM.
Andy Powers Is amazing very very few can hang with GREG!!!!!! incredible jammmmmm
3:30 "Extemporaneous musical congress can't be wrong: it just 'is what it is' ". Amen, Padre Koch !
Duet acoustic album! Absolutely- I’ll buy multiple copies and pass them out like candy.
This is why love music and guitars
🤯🤯🤯 just incredible
Omg, this makes me so happy, you just acoustic jammed over my favorite Wes tune!
Two of my favourite humans making merry. Love it
Wow! Greg’s ‘Fitbit’ just counted another 10,000 steps!!
Butt Kickin' Pickin' Greg and Andy! Thank you Wildwood Guitars!
What I love here is that we have two phenomenally gifted guitar players but there's not a speck of ego in sight, they just play and produce the perfect sound.
Very cool.....greetings from Germany👍
Such a great combo!!
I now have several guitars for sale. I guess I’ll put them all up on reverb. 😞 Maybe I can take up another creative hobby. Raking leaves into geometric shapes maybe.
DenisMguitar i feel the same but then i remember there is always someone beter than you and you gotta love that.
Brilliant Denis ! I'm also on my way to the toolshed...
This video never gets old. Such awesome musicianship!
That was so good I think I pooped myself !!
These guys are both monsters, can you dig it?
I know Greg was jonesing for a Gristlemaster.
Jay-sus, what a great version of Misty. Greg - "no, I don't know many standards," and then... he just whips out an extemporaneous chord progression that just fit right in there. LMAO. Fantastic.
Some days I wish the internet was never invented..then these cats with hats, specs and axe appease me. Amazing talents, thank you
I wish it hadn't been invented, also. I really worry for my kids. But, meantime I watch this stuff and then spend too much $.
Wow this was so COOL! 😎 Both are such amazing players! Thank you Wildwood for this gift -yea Greg's playing speaks to me 🤗
Magic
Great Googly Moogly what an opening jam! What a second/third/whatever jam! Man, we need this to become a concert - I'd more than happily pay to listen to this all night. You know, I think I'm just going to make this recording right here my bedtime etude.
Some Dawg music there.
Can we have two hours of Andy and Greg please?
That's some tasty playin' right there.
Every NAMM I've seen for the past couple years i see these guys meet and rip it up on acoustic
Misty was worth the price of admission.
Wait..
You _don't_ have to play open chord pop songs an acoustic guitar?
yes u do
Umm, I do.
Was that Django around 0:55? Heard Django all over the place, Need a little swingin' fiddle to fill it out.
Oh my God...
moanin was nice. played the hell out of it
Robbie’s Bit ?! 😍
love greg`s vibe, his sense of humor always comes thru, the gtr sounds a bit on the rattle trap side, just saying.
Doc Watson would be proud
Greg's guitar does not sound good, not that it's a bad guitar, it doesn't suit his playing here. Every note is fretting out; it sounds like he's playing too hard for the lightness of strings and lowness of action. He'd sound a lot better on a guitar with medium strings and higher action. Andy's lead playing sounds better to me, which is the last thing I'd ever expect. Greg's rhythm playing is stellar though. For lead on this guitar, he needs to not play as hard. I'm saying this as someone who loves Greg's playing and acknowledges that he's 10x better than I'll ever be.
LOVID
Wait - is Greg getting schooled here? Andy has real class in his fingers!
Yeap, if you want to advertise a guitar, make them sound good so others would want to sound like that.
Brad Pitt plays pretty well!
Andy: 'Greg, everything about this guitar is great isn't it?' Greg: 'Yeah man!, btw - how much are you paying me and can you find my integrity please?'
I bought into the v class bullshit and plunked down a fortune for a 914CE. Already for sale. Boring, overrated guitars. Listen to this clip. These are their new "flagship" guitars and Koch is fretting out every note. I've heard him on good Martin's and Gibson's and that is never an issue. Sick of Power's bullshit about using shit wood and calling it rare wood.Urban trees? Get real. No more for me. Taylor and I are divorcing.
Next time nylon strings please....
taylors are thin sounding overpriced boring guitars.
Lé Polisher While I think 80% of tone just comes from the hands, I think I’d probably tend to agree with you. Tho I also think in this particular recording, some of that lack of low end is due to the mic’ing
@@PBNJ119 I've owned and played lots of Taylor's. It's not just this recording. I just get tired of all the bullshit salesmanship. Larrivees, and Guilds are my favs..
