If you want to gamify the experience, make a separate app that is actually a game. Imagine having a open world game where users are individual owls, where you can finish quests and fight other owls. You spend ingots you earned learning your language and finishing challenges in order to buy swords, outfits, buffing your character. Something like a PUBG mobile and WOW combined.

I like to think these are just people Duo holds hostage and forces to look happy. Even making videos like these to torture them with knowledge outside world thinks it's a joke. Somebody make that movie.

I love it. I never thought that Duolingo had a physical place. For me, Duolingo was just in my phone and Duo Plushie in my bed.
