Been on a Ninja 300 for a while now, I really enjoy it. Looking to get into something new in May when I graduate. Was thinking a 600, but now I’m considering the zx4r and the rc390. I really enjoy the small cc bikes, they teach you so much and make you a much better rider.
Nice Bro !! Dad had a ktm duke 640 , back in the day. It was a fun bike to wring its neck in mountains as well.🤘Colors are awesome on bike ur riding !👍
Yes it has up and down quick shifter....... And handles can be taken down and also front and back..... But ktm should have to use next gen tft it's really good......ya and 2023 all models get smoked visors..... Also gp edition of rc really look good....... Man also give review on bmw 310 RR.... Love your videos......🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Of cool I didn't know they had upgraded tfts, this one is good though and a smoked visor would be sick. I appreciate that, I'll try I've been eyeing the 310 and wondering myself
Not being able to flat foot it makes it easier for a beginner to lose their balance and drop it. I'm looking more for a ninja 400 now sadly. KTM is one of the only motorcycle dealers near me. There are other dealers but they just sell the big bikes like the ZX6R and liter bikes. Probably gonna get a used ninja 400 on facebook
I've been riding for 20-plus years and it's nice to see the culture start shifting a little bit. For so long there were arrogant riders that judged other riders by the displacement of their engine. I've seen way too many people ride bikes that were way out of their league for no good reason other than ego. I've always believed ride what you think is fun. I've owned a number of bikes in my time. I'm actually picking up one of these soon as a cheap little commuter and twistie bike. Speed can be fun but I'm also 45 now with 2 kids. My days of triple digits going down the highway are over. Throwing a bike around in turns has always been more fun to me anyway.
@@ScoutsOut yea I’m super excited. Haven’t owned a bike in years. Curious as to what mods will void my factory warranty. I’m sure most will as far as perfomance
Yea they will, I've been thinking about buying the Akra slip on that won't void, when I bought mine they said I have 90days to buy stuff with a good discount. I want the qs exhaust and exhaust hanger to remove passenger pegs
@@ScoutsOut I think I’m gonna have to do the same. I watched a video of the sound. It sounds good. Seems like a sensible first mod. Here we go again… hah. I do want to find a smoke windshield. So maybe the windshield first. But the beefier exhaust would also be a nice addition. I don’t even have it in my garage yet and I’m nodding it. I have a problem. $14k on my car the last 2 years. Need to garage her for the summer and do something else. And with the factory warranty, it will certainly be a cheaper hobby.
Yea i want the smoked windscreen to, im the same way i always have a bunch of stuff lined up to buy before i get a bike lol. But yea the moto hobby will be much cheaper than a car
Good to hear, for being sick a racey bike it's still a good beginner too. I've had it a little over a month now and I'm still loving it it's the perfect track bike, I can't wait to get it out there
@@ScoutsOut yea it’s messed up. After all that teasing and us thinking a 490 parallel twin was going to be the new heart of every bike the 390 was in plus a few new ones in every category, but with a 490 twin instead of a 390 single, especially if you consider the 373cc single was already making as much power & torque more or less as the ninja 400 & imo bested the 500cc Honda’s too, adding 100cc + an extra cylinder is what their entry level road bikes deserved, long since time to break away from the dirt bike heart in a road bike heritage…but they just killed the entire freaking engine project during the peak of the supply chain issues instead of delaying or canceling one bike etc. they killed the entire motor development and said they were going to stick with the now old 390 & focus on using the 690 everyone hates and make a bunch of bikes with that, obviously they’ll be more like a budget 890 than a premium 400 like the 490 would’ve been so it Sucks. Then again I have to wait for Husq anyway because I think all the KTM bikes are hideous except the little Duke & the RC 390/RC 8R etc. I don’t love the Husq designs but I can at least appreciate them & like them enough to own it. The Insect looking ktm’s I couldn’t own
Depends more on your inseam than height. I'm 5'10" with a 32" inseam and it's easy for me to get the balls of both feet in the ground. You should go sit on one before you buy one
I test rode a 390 and the engine was a piece of dung. All the rest of the bike was ok. KTM reliability put me off as well. I test rode and brought a new Ninja 400 which is a way better bike in every way
It is not a beginner bike, this thing will smoke all the big bikes in the twisties. Races are won in the corners. The Cornering ABS on that thing is why this bike is the best bike ever made. Cornering ABS save lives.
no one will argue with you about it being an amazing bike for the track and canyon roads, Im all about that style of riding over going fast in a straight-line but the power of the bike is manageable with makes it acceptable for beginners imo
Man you’re stoked to get to try all these different bikes. A single I would have never guessed they’d do that. 🤙🏼
Yea bro was a fun weekend, good counterbalance in the little thumper it wasn't very vibey at all
You should definitely make more videos of this bike. I can barely find any reviews and all that in the us lol.
Thanks man, I have a few more vids in the Que just got a few good mods
You mean of the latest year model specifically?

So true, I'm looking forward to the zx4rr I'll be getting it as soon as I can
The 390 probably won’t be much faster than a 300, go for the zx4r for a fresh experience
9:10 in
the bike just leans to the right. is it happened every time you released your hands off? because mine do it also
I hadn’t noticed that, I’ll have to test it out next time I ride it and see
This bike looks great buddy. Thanks for sharing and have a nice week. Ride on🤙
Thanks ck, have a good week bro

Most competitors don’t have ANY tft so…

Better starter bike for sure

So true! I feel the same way, I want to enjoy the sides of the tires on some twisty roads. I've gone fast in a straight line enough in my life lol
Im getting one with a black windscreen 😀 so excited
Nice! Yea dude the black screen looks good
@ScoutsOut yeah I'm loving it, so much fun!
Can’t wait to watch!!!
It's suck a fun little bike!!
Funny you say it would look good with a dark "windscreen" that bike is the 22 model, the only change for 23? The screen is tinted
Haha right they got me, the 2023 with the black windscreen showed up on the website the day my vid published lol
I have the KTM RC 125 2023 , it's awesome😀
Nice, i with we had the 125s here, thank you!
My 2022 comes to the dealership next Friday. I get to go grab it. So stoked
Nice!! That's exciting. It's a rad bike

I love mine I’m a 34in inseam and so the pegs feel a little tight but I’m rather light so it feels like I’m throwing a bag around.
Also this is my first bike and love it. And also plan a little long ownership to teach my to ride and then race once I have the experience
Nice dude the bike is so easy to through around!

Thanks bro much appreciated
Any overheating issues noted with the new model? Tia
Not that I’ve experienced or read yet but ill keep an eye on it
It’s so depressing the 490 was canceled. That motor would’ve been epic at this segment
Ohh man that really would have been an epic little track toy

Yea man I didn't know that. I agree the ktms have always been ugly to me except the 390's and rc8
Here in india this bike is perfect cuz we don't have long stretch roads..
Yea good point, it’s all about where you ride
So it’s okay to upshift w no clutch on this bike?
If you do it right yes, you have to roll off the throttle and upshift, it's called rev matching and when done wrong is bad for the bike's transmission
So if I’m 5’5 it’s not going to be too tall right? Or is it going to give me a little trouble?
Depends more on your inseam than height. I'm 5'10" with a 32" inseam and it's easy for me to get the balls of both feet in the ground. You should go sit on one before you buy one
Im 5.6 ish I’m on my toes weight 120 and the suspension compresses a lot when I get on it. 28 inseam.
How are the vibrations?
Not really noticeable to me, it pretty smooth on the freeway at high rpm imo
Slight buzz at lower revs but gets smoother at higher speeds.
It feels quite refined between 5k - 8k.

is the rc390.a pocket bike? ...y do u call rc390 a little bike??
It's a smallish bike, with a low ish cc engine 🤷🏻♂️ I don't mean any negativity by it
It is not a beginner bike, this thing will smoke all the big bikes in the twisties. Races are won in the corners.
The Cornering ABS on that thing is why this bike is the best bike ever made.
Cornering ABS save lives.
What in the actual fuck are you talking about ??
This is one of the best lightweight sport bikes, and tame enough for a new rider.
no one will argue with you about it being an amazing bike for the track and canyon roads, Im all about that style of riding over going fast in a straight-line but the power of the bike is manageable with makes it acceptable for beginners imo
@@ScoutsOut it is more forgiving, but still faster than anything on the road.
