Don't know about this one, but as far as I know, there was HKS tuned version with higher compression ratio with approx 270ps power that was exported to few pro offroad racers in Australia before. (was never been available in Japan which both of Mitsubishi and HKS)
@@wasabi00maki you mean the ITB 4g54 that was supposed to go into mitsubishi's group B starion? I'm not sure if they were ever put into 4x4 vehicles, like the Pajero. The high powered 4g54s that I do remember are the ones that came with turbo Magnas that were sometimes used in street racing when I was in highschool (I grew up in New Zealand and Australia). I don't think they get up to 270ps stock, sounds more like the 4g63t evo 1-3 engines that came in special RVR's. I swapped my Pajero's 4g54 with a evo 1 4g63t (the one with the big evo 16g turbo). The project has been going on since September 2023. It should be done around August or September this year.
