- So, I was pretty hyped when I heard they were coming out with ANIMAL CROSSING LEGO. Picturing cute little DIY dioramas, adorable minifigures of classic characters and physical, bricky versions of my favourite items; this girl let her imagination run wild.
A little too wild perhaps.
Hey, finding Animal Crossing LEGO sets disappointing isn't the end of the world, and I'm sure some of you out there think they're a-okay! I'm just being dramatic.

I would only have purchased one of these if it included a favorite character. Which they don't, so! Hopefully other people like them enough for them to improve in the future, but they dropped the ball in my honest opinion. Like you said, it looks like cost-cutting measures. BUT they're still really expensive so damn might as well have splurged on the details.
I feel like the real sets using the cute and small aspect which just doesn’t work well here. Sometimes even if it’s childish and add at kids doesn’t mean they need to make small. Even like island fan made set it’s small but captures the animal crossing aesthetic and works better here. I swear sometimes we need fans to help companies with their designs and projects

ngl saying Animal Crossing's audience is MAINLY adults is kind of delusional. Obviously a lot of older folks are playing the game, but you don't realize just how many kids are. It's like, dozens of times more! Those sets look really basic because they had to be designed for a 6 years old and up audience :)
maybe they'll do what they did with Mario where they released childrens toys and then later down the line a few adult oriented kits
