    I don’t understand why I_fish only has 13k subs. I could watch this dude break down reels for days.

    One day I'd like to turn this type of work into my own small business. Fix a massive variety of low-liability things, for anyone who's willing to pay for that repair. The art of repair (hell, even maintenance) is basically gone these days, as we all know. Good work as always.

    • @ifishcatfish
      @ifishcatfish  9 месяцев назад +1

      economics don't work. People ask me to fix their reels but usually what it makes economics sense to pay for fixing an old reel is not worth my time. In this case i do it for the video and for the fun but otherwise wont be worth it..

    Looking for a good mono/fluro line from varivas for a ultegra spinning reel. Strong and no/little memory. For redfish and trout. Not happy with braids. Thanks Vic. Keep the lessons coming professor.

    Love the video victor! For those bearings I use houdini spray. It’s meant for locks but man o man it works really well for getting grease out of bearings! It makes them crazy smooth about 80% of time.

    I enjoy these videos Victor. Always good to know how to maintain spinning and baitcasting reels. I do have a question though. If I were to order several different sized hybrid ceramic bearings, are their common sized ones I should be looking for?

    • @ifishcatfish
      @ifishcatfish  Год назад +1

      No common sizes at all. Every brand has their own sizes. Most of mine similar cos i mostly work on shimanos. But every now and then i have other projects and they are always different. Remove besring first, messure it and google it. Sometimes amazon will have a good price and u get it next day

    Hello sir.. your video has me ready to do this same work on several of my reels. You mentioned that some of the replacement parts were from China. What are the best sites to use, what keywords should I use... All help is appreciated!

      I don't do this any more, i apologize. I had a couple of cases where people had problems buying from places i told them and it ended up seeming like it was my fault, even though i never recommended those places. People get upset because it is impossible to return something if it is defective or u dont like it. I don't tell people where to shop any more just to stay out of trouble ..

      I don't know why i remembered 'silicone'. It doesn't say silicone. My memory is terrible : ). It is water based tho and i am comfortable using it. I use it to clean the guides on my rods before every trip with a q-tip
