Brian Posehn: "Star Wars" Was My Vietnam! | CONAN on TBS
/ teamcoco - Развлечения
I enjoyed Brian's appearance in the Mandalorian. It was brief but being devoured by a monster in the ice was memorable.
Thank you for reminding me to continue watching mandalorian
Funny how a comment from a year ago can spoil a show for you
Well it’s like the first 3 seconds of the show so don’t fret
@@Galacticus9lol. Definitely didn't spoil anything. Next time watch the show faster.
he is like the illegitimate son of yoda and chewie
"As a fat person, I'm against hunger." Love it!
You know what would be great? If Brian Posehn got cast, even in a small role, in one of the new Star Wars movies.
With Patton Oswalt as ghost writer! :D
Seriously, if there is ANYONE that doesn't know what i'm talking about, you MUST enter "patton oswalt star wars filibuster" into the youtube searchbox.
You will fucking DIE from geekgasmic laughter!!!!!!! XD
Dreams come true #mandalorian
luis ongpin the moment i saw the carrier i immediately checked the imdb
"As a fat peron, i'm against hunger". Haha
"I hate the new Star Wars" - that statement probably means something a little different now...
Josh McDaniel The new movies are a snoozefest for the most part except for Rouge One imo.
i loved rogue one as well, so far it was my favorite
Does it mean something different now...? Because Brian Posehn is also upset about the "remakes" of the old StarWars. Spoiler alert, Rogue One is a remake of A New Hope. A droid has secret plans stored inside of it that can be used to identify weak spots in a death star, so our heroes, one of whom is an orphaned child living on a desert planet, need to get the droid safely to the rebellion..... yeah, they're the exact same movie.
@@echosmyth5021 No, the Force Awakens is a remake of Star Wars (episode IV)... I refuse to call it a new hope... only people who think Greedo shot first call that movie a new hope.... But scene for scene, The Force Awakens is exactly like Star Wars just like The Last Jedi is a remake of The Empire Strikes Back.
what's it mean now?
I always see him at the Comic-Cons!
He's coming to Salt Lake in April.
Louis C.K. really let himself go.
Hahahahahaha !! Yes !!
Sukupuolikas damn you that was good.
He really did!
@Bryan Agostini
Only because he can't get away with it.
_(I'm saying he's too big to be incognito.)_
Really? This same stupid comment is on all of Posehn videos. Originality 0/10......Accuracy 0/10 (he looks nothing like Louis)
I always come back to this video for a good laugh. Brian is so funny.
He didn't make fun of Vietnam he simply implied that only a true fan of Star Wars would know what really happened as a only a true vet of Vietnam would know what it was like.
Excited to see him live tonight!! He’s hilarious 😆
I love this dude's acting: Brian Posehn, all the way from "Just Shoot Me," to "Kim Possible," to "Suite Life on Deck," to "The Big Bang Theory," acting as an audience member on a recent Conan episode, and even on "Dorkly's Channel." Unfortunately, I keep forgetting his name when I see him make a surprising appearance in a random show.
I think he was on the Drew Carey show and he voiced Jim on Mission Hill (fantastic adultish cartoon)
look how heavy he's breathing just sitting down jesus
***** lazy
and hes a METAL HEAD AS WELL!!!
more METAL than you!
@@WhateverHappenedToFun I like what you did there
Bet you are all about Grandpa Metal right?
I LOVE LOVE LOVE the noises he makes. hahaha. so funny.
I've seen him live twice. He's great!
00:11 "Here is comes" outstanding..
He only referenced his anger to be that of how a lot of Vietnam Vets talk of their pasts. Take the time to thank a vet this year.
i do.
Every time i see one.
It's rare that I run into a WW2 vet anymore... :-(
Logical Reason
1: i have had th pleasure of meeting a few.
2: they often have those easy to identify VFW hats to find them.
3: Failing that, search for one of those World War 2 recreation or Air Shows they do.
They were real men back then, that really sacrificed. Not just the service persons, but even the nation and the kids. They would collect scrap metal in wagons to help the war effort.
Far too few give a damn about anything these days.
Sorry for the diatribe - i got off on kind of a tangent there.
+Mark Weatherford It was an idiotic comment made by a man child.. And like all man children they don't think before speaking.
Jim Whites You're purposely choosing to take this seriously and you don't even understand the premise of what he said.
“Frank Oz is inside me.”
Hahahahaha
I love all the star wars movies, and mainly for nostalgia when it comes to the prequels. I loved them (and the originals, of course) as a kid and I love them now. That doesn't mean I consider them GOOD, in terms of plot, acting and all that. But to me personally, they have a place in my heart with the other movies and I still enjoy watching them for what they are. :)
People need to get over the prequels. It's been 17 years! and 19 years for the Special Editions!
Nerdpoker hell yeah!
Rip Brian
He's not dead....
i love star wars
Met him in Disney land :D
He was very nice
this guy is amazing.
In the end, he sounded like Scooby.
such a cool dude Brian
Brian Posehn is great actor. He can make me laugh everytime with his acting.
Larry’s REAL!! Kim, your cousin’s on the loose! 😹😻 I love Larry.
Thank you for typing in that comment for me.
I love those reviews.
Yes, thank you for that!
If anyone wants to hear more of him, check out the Nerd Poker podcast. It's a D&D game, played by 5-6 comedians and best friends, with the RUclipsr Sark as the DM. It was goddamn beautiful
I wonder how he feels about it now, as ironically he had a small part in episode one of The Mandolorian.
this show is amazing. i wish i could watch it on netflix... *WINK WINK*
SLAYER!
Lmfao!! I love brian posehn!!
I was an adult when the movies came out, child. I'm also not mad. Laughing at you brings me joy, not anger.
Star Wars The Clone Wars tv-series & 3-7 is the Star Wars Trilogy to me
Old school all the way Brian!
It's kind of weird hearing his normal voice.. i'm so used to his film voice.
His head is so huge that his glasses don't reach behind his ears.
Thats a pair of glasses?! i just thought he had really huge bug eyes or something
The optometrist should've made them bigger.
im with u brian!!!
This guy is great. XD
A cool thing is that this guy plays videogames with Mr Sark..... :O
His nerd rage voice is hilarious.
I liked the prequels as a little kid
KEVIN PIASTRA: COMEDIAN I think that was the point of a lot of stuff in them
I'm all ready that way.
me to me to they killed it
When Star Wars first came out, this guy was a kid. He liked Star Wars. When the new ones came out, kids liked them too. Simple as that. Take the nostalgia goggles off. I enjoyed watching it as a kid too, but I've since seen many other IPs, and I've enjoyed many of them a lot more than Star Wars.
Sure, but he is entitled to his nostalgia fueled opinion, just as you are entitled to yours. Do i think people take it way too seriously? Why hell yea they do, lol..it's just movies and some people like the newer ones better than the older ones. In today's ADHD riddled youth, they need something new in order to get the Mtn.Dew generations attention. .lol
I Didn't really like them, I was just mad they had noise in space. I like the clone battles though they were dope. They sounded like bad Shakespeare lol.
+Blood Angel I disagree. As a kid I was terrified by alien movies, so I didn't watch Star Wars until my early twenties. I like the story, I like the characters, etc. When I watched episode 4, I did rewind it to see the cantina scene, not knowing at the time the whole Han-shot-first controversy, and replayed it. There was something wrong visually and in the story. How can someone miss the shot that close? Han's head bobs really stupidly. It didn't make sense until I learned about the remastered versions. When I watched the prequels, it took me YEARS to watched them because I couldn't get through with them. There was something off. It's like reading Kafka and realizing its not Kafka. It can't be, its not the same style. So its not that this man is stuck in the past, its that the new ones have bad story telling. I hate Anakin Skywalker, his charter is written so lousy, "Are you an angel?" What?! I love that Chicken Robot made fun of that because it really captures the silliness of this tripe. I don't have any nostalgia goggles as I don't have fond memories of growing up with these movies. But there is something so endearing about young Luke trying to be a Jedi. There is something about the Han/Leia love story. You feel for these characters. I don't feel anything for the characters in the prequels. I hate Yaddle, she's one of the characters that you know wasn't necessary. Look, I'm not trying to pick a fight here, but its not a nostalgia goggle thing.
mcamac1 I agree that the remastered scene with Han is ridiculous, as is the lazy writing in the sequels. Of course WTF happened to Boba Fett? That scene was ridiculous too. Best bounty hunter in the universe. Dies like an idiot. Right...
The thing is, the original trilogy isn't anywhere near as amazing to me as some people, people like the guy being interviewed, seem to think it is. They're kiddy movies. That's pretty much it. Kids like them.
They made a ton of cash. Lucas has more money than he will ever spend, and has now offloaded the franchise so will no longer ruin any future releases.
+Blood Angel I'm going to blow your mind here.. The remastered scene Han vs Greedo makes sense.. Why? Because Han is 'Lucky' not cold. His luck is constantly referred to and he refers to it himself theres even a line saying that his "luck is running out".. He is lucky to have killed Greedo.. Nothing more.. Even when he walks away he flips what? A coin... What are coins used for other than buying things?. Gambling.. What do you need to win? Luck.... How did he get the Falcon?... You guessed it luck in a game of gambling... He is lucky to out run Star Destroyers as his ship brakes at the worst times.. He is lucky with the asteroid field.. And yes he is lucky whist blind at killing or at least getting rid of Boba Fett.. The character is lucky...
The newest film as much as I disliked its plot and its use of the Original cast it did keep one thing in tac Han's luck.. Maybe best pointed out in the hyperspace jump to the surface.. He didn't even have a plan after that.. He had to lucky land on the surface before thinking about what they've even do when there..
Maybe now I have pointed this out you and other readers you guys will enjoy the tweak more and see why it was made.. Its Solos most critical character trait.. it ain't being a ice cold killer.
"I look at it as betrayal"
A real star wars fan would have said
"Its treason then"
Yeah, I grew up with the original 3, & while the prequels weren't as spectacular, they were still fun to watch.
It's Bert!
I like all of them...well Phantom Menace wasnt all that good but it had Darth Maul.
and they totally pissed him away
+Dirty Birdy Not really.. He comes back at a more interesting time, and his last meeting with Obi has made him quite focused as a result. Its called character development.. Would have been cool seeing him across the first 3 films but I like what they did with him in the Clone Wars.
hes sounding like yoda in this its highlarious
let qui gons be qui gons
This guy's writing Deadpool Comics now! XD
saw him at bumbershoot
Brian is so funny
As the films went on, Lucas had more and more control over them. The more influence he had on the films the worse they were.
***** a NEW hope???
I couldn't resist! lol
2nd was meh, 3rd was pretty good so idk wtf you're talking about.
5>4>6=3>1>2
+ConfrontationalRealist Which is what you get in the film..
I agree with Posehn on the 'Prequels'. While I do understand the point that nearly everyone makes that 'we were kids when 4,5,and 6 came out' and 'we were adults when 1,2, and 3 came out'... it's still 'me' and my take on the movies. Nostalgia or not... the dialogue in the new movies was painful to watch, especially scenes with Anakin.
Yoda: Hmm... beam him back to the Enterprise, we must.
He looks like jack patillo
Give it another 15 years.
I like all of the starwars except for episode 3
I wonder how he feels about Sym-bionic Titan being cancelled. Or just his general opinions on it. I know one thing thAT I AM A VERY ANGRY PERSON ABOUT IT AND I WILL NOT REST UNTIL IT COMES BACK.
enjoy your diarrhea
Axel!
I agree with you EP1 is the best.
At the end there he became wookie yoda
Just met him today aggaaggaghahaghagha
how got the dodge journey add? i felt like i was in a Dexter episode
bad thing is just how much that episode 1 anakin came to hate life after it
He sounds like Eric Wareheim mixed with Sdr Steve Brule
Maaan this dude/nerd is so cool
Right!!!!!!
I wan to meet him just to tell him suddenly "Jar Jar Binks is my favorite character ever!!" I wonder what will happen next? I probably will not survive... XD
When I was younger I loved it...Oh wait
like those of my generation that grew up on Star Wars, there was no pop culture event more looked forward to than Episode 1-The Phantom Menace.
and then it came out,and we were so disappointed
Hey look, its Bert from the geology department.
Brian make a great John C Reily impersonator.
"No, I haven't seen it...as a fat person, I'm against hunger." HAHAHHAHA
When I heard the news I said the same thing. Except I Kevin Smith would have been my first pick. Hopefully he can get a crack at one soon.
I lost it at greedo didn't shoot first
...And this guy is responsible for Deadpool now. Awesome
You ate Frank Oz!
I think part of what you are saying is true, actually. People criticized George Lucas for making each one ... I guess from Episode VI ON ... too "kid-like" and I think part of the thrill of seeing the original SW movies was simply lost on people because they had gotten older themselves. I really didn't hate Jar Jar like everyone else did but ... when I saw the movie the first time I was a kid :P
He will make a good Penguin
I get you Brian Posehn, I get you. I also still have flash backs.
I still like the phantom menace though, so.
I think you will find they were, the people who love the originals were mostly teenagers when A New Hope came out, Brian Posehn was 11 in 1977.
where is the Eisenhower mug?
I like most of the Star Wars. The prequels for its action and effects, and the trilogy for its 'originalness.' still don't like force unleashed tho :P
He has axels voice

AND...that's why I still have my VHS copies. Sebastian Shaw force ghost all the way...
In this vid conan looks a bit like bryan cranston😂
People only love the original trilogy because of the nostalgia factor. And that's great. I have movies that I unconditionally love just because I loved it as a kid. The reason they didn't like the prequels is because they watched it as adults and saw that Star Wars can have flaws too and it's not the masterpiece people really think it is. What I'm saying is that the reason why people think SW is the greatest thing in the world is because they were very very young when they saw it.
Nope, the Original Trilogy is still great to this day. The prequels are just terrible.
Tobar
^^^^^^^^^^
The prequels were terrible dude. It has nothing to do with age. The prequels were poorly written, and made no sense at all. Why did Palpatine tell the Niemodians to kill the Jedi and force the Queen to sign a treaty to make their blockade legal? If everything was legal and the Jedi werent around to tell the Senate there was a crisis, how was Palpatine going to assume power and become emperor? Why did they bring Anakin to a warzone? In fact if Anakin hadnt have been there the whole plan would have failed, and The queen would have been captured and forced to sign the treaty and Palpatine wouldnt have assumed power. The whole plot is reads like terrible fan fiction, that relies on deus ex machina that dont make sense.
what this guy said^^^^
Not true. My kids love the old ones too.
hah i thught i recognized it;
HE DOES THE VOICES OF GRUNTS IN HALO
I saw Hunger Games in a hotel room!
The prequels are NOT good. BUT. The TV series Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars: Rebels are very high quality
+Noah Caboose rebels sucks
+Sole Survivor to you maybe. Millions of people watch it
Noah Caboose its not as good as the clode wars in my opinion
Sole Survivor I never said it was, and how can you compare it to the clone wars? its only had one season!
Noah Caboose the first season of clone wars was better than the first season of rebels....happy
Isn't this guy the voice of the guy's neighbor from Mission Hill?
