I'm sorry, man, but if you think Mercedes (or anyone) is going to be challenging for wins in a few races, you must have fallen off that ladder and hit your head.
What you are actually saying is that over the next few races some team will develop their car, RELATIVE TO RED BULL, by over 1 second per lap... because that's what it's gonna take...
Nope.
There's only so much paint you can strip off a car, the power units are frozen, and it is Adrian Newey vs the world.
@LawVS Hi, I am a douche bag replying to my reply. I am just curious if you are in touch with reality after falling off that ladder and bumping your head. I hope you are doing well, mate. Remember when I said the other teams needed more than 1 second per lap? I didn't mean Qualifying... Can't wait for the race tomorrow! All hail Adrian Newey.
I’d say Lance Stroll is a winner. Coming back from essentially P19 to P10 is very impressive, and he defied everyone’s expectations that he’d just be stuck there.
The race itself was mid. But its amazing how reliable today's cars are! This is the first bahrain gp in the last 20 years without a dnf. Checo, Sainz, and stroll were on fire! That's my review. Also max is max.
Your forgetting Logan’s issue which basically made a retirement without an actual retirement.
@@LotusesPictures but he didn't retire. So, it's not a dnf.
We need Mario Kart-like powerups.
@@LotusesPictures Really sad tbh, he was doing fine and most of the grid had little issues but not enough to DNF which is funny, just coast, bring car home and gather data
@@LawVS Then formula e is the series for you with literal power up zones that give a mario kart boost for 5 minutes with the risk of the zone being off of the racing line
"Somebody had better picked up that phone, because I CALLED IT"
that line, omg ❤❤❤
Cooler lines haven't been heard before.
Carlos Sainz driving and clean aggressive overtakes was one of if not the most exciting parts of the race. I will be rewatching it just to see those moves again.
I like the idea of Aston Martin being in no man's land! Clear air, save the tiers and get a load of data for upgrades to catch the leading pack later in the season!
Yeah. Sleeper team.
Hahaha we (AM) are a joke
@@lowievanhemelen9823 haha I understand! But I'm trying to be positively hopeful that it will only last a couple races and they'll be fighting near the front soon.
@@LawVSAgreed, Big Time Sleeper team. Watching their moves, seems clear that Papa Stroll, Dan Fallows and Mike Krack (heh) are in for the long game. I think we're seeing real time evolution of the car development strategy. What a project, adapting on the fly as the new factory and wind tunnel have come on line. Feels like AM is stealthy and somehow off the radar, and some leap-frogging at the mid-season euro tour is afoot. Can't wait to see AM and McLaren take it to RB - psyched!
You just know that this race was boring asf when the biggest talking point is something that happened AFTER the race 💀💀💀
It was more like this confirmed to me one of the biggest subplots of the year IN THE FIRST WEEKEND.
Honestly I love Yuki but his behavior really just cost him any chance of that redbull seat imo. No way they'll want someone so volatile next to Max
Watching excellence is boring? You should start watching womens football.
@@ctheboarder8904well said mate.
Carlos said it after the race... clean , low risk passes. He intends to race. I applaud his attitude. Alpine is the new Haas. That car looked terrible and Haas looks to have improved somewhat. I am going to wait. Consistent problems will shape the season. 1 races is not a season.
The Ferrari pair, Max, Alonso and Norris (of its not for the lead) are the only drivers who can actually overtake cleanly in that top 5.
Lewis has started to make mistakes, like crashing into piastri twice last year.
George makes a mistake almost every time he has to overtake
Stroll is Stroll
and Piastris race pace issues means hes usually getting overtaken/in no mans land
The weirdest thing that’s happened from watching your videos is you’ve made me a Norris and Piastri fan
McLaren, Australian and British fans welcome you and your decision!
What's weird about it? They're great drivers, team mates and have fun personalities.
These aren’t the droids you’re looking for.
@@Lianpe98 I’m a new fan and started watching because I watched MasokoX stuff. I didn’t expect him to convince me to like them both so much
The statement of The Casual(F1) Fan is wrong. In a post-race press conference Sainz said he had the same braking issue as Leclerc, and that he had to manage the breaking
Absolute nonsense, there’s no way Sainz was having that level of brake temp fluctuation
He had , so he backed off to have cool air to reduce temp , and the brake pads became normal. According to him, it's because of over heating the brakes , the brakes expanded causing misalignment. He realised this and took measures to control it.
From the telemetry, he actually did back off ,so yea it's true
Sainz is better than Leclerc idk why people are still in denial at this point, Charles has an edge in qualifying but in the actual race it’s pretty clear that sainz is better.
You and the guys in your comments are lying. Sainz did not have 100 degrees of brake temperature imbalance between front left and front right, he just had the normal brake temperature overheating that happens in dirty air. Charles had his issues every lap including in clean air
@craig8017 explain why Charles has a bigger pace advantage over Carlos in races than in qualifying both last season and over their 3 seasons together. If you don't believe me you can look it up. Charles Leclerc is the most underrated driver in F1 cause people like you constantly lie about him and people believe it
I think Williams has a possibility of doing better and it really sucks that Logan had that issue. He was running good and seemed to have good confidence until the issue took that away.
Agreed. The car seems to be pretty solid...just a little fragile right now. Logan could've probably caught up to Alex had the brake abalcen issue not curtailed him.
@@LawVS definitely he also had an overheating issue if i remember correctly from his screen
@@LotusesPictures that was Albon's screen
@@nonegone7170 thank you I couldn’t remember which one it was on
I hope zhou has some success. He's a very sweet guy in interviews, and the excitement of the chinese audience is infectious (like the famous announcer clip of them screaming over a minor battle at the mid/back lol)
I hope he gets a point in china. It's hard to hate him as a person.
How was bottas the instigator of the turn 1 incident? Hulkenberg hit stroll himself not because of any contact from behind 20:27
It certainly makes sense of the rumour Ocon and Gasly were looking to jump ship from Alpine pre-season.
I guess so.
I rly want Carlos to do well this year, to see pretty much no celebrations for his podium
The scary thing about the RB20 is that it is a new concept. Making progress with something new is usually easier than with an almost solved concept. I expect the gap to grow until Red Bull stop developing the car for this year. I just hope the rest is going to fight like last year because otherwise we are in for the longest AND most boring season in F1 history.
Oh of course. If Red Bull fully tap into it, it could give this era of F1 its zenith car for 2025.
Go watch B Sport or Kyle.engineers videos on the RB20. It's not a new concept at all. It's just further refinement of the rb19. It's got nothing to do with the "zero pod" concept.
Didn’t Newey say that the car will look significantly different once they bring an update to Imola? I’m interested to see what they do to it 🤷♂️ Given their form already, it might be the only big update they need to make to the car all year if it brings some significant gains in performance. Kind of scary.
Zhou had a very calm and mature drive up to P11, won't be long until Sauber score some points they have very good race pace
Yeah it was a very good drive and well-held in Q1.
Not really if they keep making 50 seconda pit stops.
Missed half the race because I actually fell asleep. Nice to see Sainz goung aggressive against Leclerc. That was about it for me before conking out.
Unrelated but thank you for not being part of the Horner speculating crowd. Really appreciate it.
No worries. I'm more interested in the stuff around it.
Finally a commentator seeing how it made sense for Ricciardo to pass Yuki. It only looked like a bad move because Yuki didn’t let Daniel pass earlier
WHAT earlier? Dude, Ric spent 1,5-2 laps within DRS zone, everyone who says this had any meaningful impact is a fool..............
@@staLkerhusame car and he probably didn’t want to burn his tires (=advantage) on his teammate. If yuki lets him pass, he maybe has a shot on magnussen before they all have to Max let overtake them
@ThommyOcho Yes but let's not forget, yuki was literally in the process of overtaking magnussen when they made the call
Yuki needs a very good sports psychologist
Seems to have done wonders on Lance. He seems quite mellow.
Yup
He does have one
Yeah definitely. I have never been that much into the narrative of him being overly hot headed but this move... that was just unacceptable in a temperament and professional level.
I think yuki is fair to be angry he had a bad strategy and was given orders later than he should have but no one can defend what he did on the in lap he was immature
I was flying in the middle of the race i have only seen highligths. Im happy for Checo and Sainz
Max was up by more than 20 seconds at some point. I'm currently not very inspired to get up in the dark to watch one of those races. Having said this, Carlos is better than people think and I will be watching to see him show Ferrari their error.
Winning margin was 22.5 to Perez. You're thinking of just before the first round of stops, where Max had pulled out a 30 second margin to Perez to make a safe stop on him
@@Evarakeus By that time I was wondering why I got up. Blowout races are difficult to stay focused on so early
I think Yuki had a right to be annoyed as well thought because he was quite close to overtaking Kevin (on a hard compound tyre) but then he got told to let Daniel past, but then Daniel doesn't overtake Kevin on a soft compound tyre
True but that is not an excuse for that move on the cooldown lap. Vent that frustration on the radio or better yet the debriefing but a race car and track are not things or places to take your anger out on.
Yuki wasted 1 lap of DR’s advantage aaaaaand, right then and there they had to let Max lap them which increased the distance to magnussen further. Dumb move by yuki. Certainly will not help his position in the team. He is too hot headed. I doubt he would be promoted to RB anytime soon
Regardless of his right to be annoyed, his reaction was immature and seemed like something a young Max would have done.
@@muzikkificationyoung Max showed dazzling skills and everyone knew he was special. Yuki hasn't shown any such talent where we have sat up and taken notice. His attitude doesn't balance his performances.
The team orders part yeah I get being pissed at that. But his move would have been unacceptable even if Daniel was to blame.
Wired take on Carlos tbh, Charles is suffering from breaking issues, Carlos picks up the ball and puts it to podium giving Ferrari a lot of points. What was he supposed to do, ah team mate is in trouble time to ram it into the barriers as quickly as possible to make him not look bad.
Yes! Yes! Yes! 👏 👏👏👏
Very weird and shady and for what lmao. I unsubscribed faster than that redbull
Carlos is on "damned if you do damned if you don't" spot and I'm afraid Ferrari won't let him drop from it. He'll be criticised for winning, he'll be criticised for losing all the same
Logan hurt me, man, I was watching him making moves early, being aggressive... Then he was stuck out, trying to shift and just getting "TOO HOT".. and because he's logan, everyone assumes it was just his fault and he forgot how to put a car in gear.
I felt so bad for my boi.
Yep. His car gave out!
I've said it before and I'll say it again: Sainz is a fantastic racer. If Mercedes isn't in contract talks with him right now they're crazy.
Agreed: I feel like Sainz is in contention for Checo's seat at red bull!
It blows my mind that they are letting go of Carlos. I really hope he ends up on a competitive team. Like seeing more of Piastri's and Zhou's personalities in the post interviews.
we are dropping him for lewis not ocon mate
If it were anyone besides Lewis, Alonso, Max or a Leclerc clone, id agree. But it is one of the only drivers that isnt a (theoretical) downgrade
@@billiamlemom4268 this aint 2014, "mate".
@@fatcat8495 we dont have to go back to 2014, lewis has had a worse car than carlos for 22 and 23 and was better than him both years
Oscar must be really happy he didn’t go to alpine
An extension for Perez is not unexpected. The thing is that you still keep this idea that Ricciardo back is Horners dream... but Yuki is in the way 😂
There is more chance Carlos or Liam goes straight to Red Bull's second seat than Ric who is barely any better than a hothead.
I thought Season was over, but then I looked at the result of last year, Alonso was 38 seconds behind, and now Sainz was “Only” 25 seconds behind (And if the race was a few laps longer he could have attacked Sergio
If Charles hadn't had that brake issue, he probably would've kept 2nd and pegged Max to around 15 seconds...unless Max decided to try.
@@LawVSmax is always pushing . Thats what is so amazing about him. People keep calling it cruise control. But there is not much left. Affcourse he can push harder , but it will only compramise the rest of the race. The real talent of max is pushing just hard enough to not destroy the car/breaks/tires.
@@dennisozgan2200are you acoustic? He was nearly a second a lap quicker than the whole grid at the start of the race. He toned it down when he had a 15 second lead and just managed the rest of the race. He wasn’t pushing at all, no need to push the power unit through more stress of ur that far ahead. He’ll just be trying to save up reliability throughout the season
No one is talking about perza being behind so many cars in the beginning, so if he started in second place he wouldn’t of been behind by much at all
Did you forget Miami?
wtf is perza
This video provided great analyses. It was very impressive. Well done and thank you! 👏🏼
True dat, Yukis divebomb was like tearing up his RB ticket if he ever had one, for me
Helmut Marko will remember this.
After all these years Yuki still hasn't learned team work, there is no way he can be no.2 in RB
@@SuperMarkizas Yup and Honda aren't engine provider soon, the only reason he has the place is Honda's insistence he has one of the 4 RB seats. I wonder if Ford will insist on an American driver when they take over!
I get the feeling yuki doesn’t want that seat.
@@carlosenriquez8394Yuki to Aston, Sainz to RB, Alonso to Mercedes. Calling it now 😂
I love your analysis! Certainly more insightful and entertaining than the actual race.
You deserve more subscribers Law. Thanks!
There was an interesting point that I've seen a couple of people bring up: the cost cap. While it was meant to make all the teams financially viable and the idea was to prevent the richest teams from spending so much money, has it perhaps unintentionally locked in the pecking order as no-one is able to meaningfully close in on Red Bull?
Ok, you can point to Aston's step forward and McLaren's turnaround last year, but remember that the MCL60 in particular was seriously undercooked at the start of the season; they'd planned the upgrades at a really early stage.
Obviously, you can't pin all this on the cap alone; Red Bull have nailed these regulations and the team are operating at a high level anyway, but with the advantage they've have had in this era, no-one's been able to simply throw money at trying to catch up. With the spending power restricted and the other development restrictions such as windtunnel use, it's almost impossible to find an advantage.
I agree with you. Perhaps a progressive/regressive cost cap?
What really ruined it is freezing engines, we have big engine developers trying and failing to understand aero. While being gaslit into thinking having a good engine is somehow unfair, while the new dominant team has an arguably 'best' engine on the grid 😏
Aston Martin went from 8th or whatever to 3rd ish (tho went back to about 7th)
Bit even Ferrari has shown that it can be done. They got rid of alot of their weaknesses in season in 2023, made those areas their strength in 2024, and pulled away from the "podium pals" group.
Laws, I don’t agree with your take ( and also seems on most commentators) on yuki . Yuki’s reaction although hot headed is not completely irrational.
In the race, He dropped position at every pit stop, RB strategy have always been very reactive to cars around them, and end up costing place for yuki. It’s happened in the past, which he commented on post race comments, which somewhat got lost.
Then to be asked for a team order for 12th!! Comon. Daniel wasn’t even able to make a move on magnusses anyways. Tv could’ve asked to give the position back then.
If riccardo and Tsunoda are have a fair crack for the red bull seat, then it is completely understandable why he’d be annoyed with the team order. In the middle of fighting with magnussen for position.
Also post his race manoeuvre, it might have a been a lock up but he was way quite clear of Daniel.
Daniel throwing the helmet comment, he knows he’s fighting yuki for the red bull seat , so he’s playing mind games already.
Sadly although yuki is faster than Daniel, I feel he’s not very skilled in manoeuvring him self to bringing the vcarb team around him like Daniel has been able to.
Still , a stupid move to make such a lunge at your team mate on the in lap after the race. That was clearly meant as a message. Not the first time he is hot headed, ie. Mexico crash. If he does not learn to control himself better, he is not getting the redbull seat
Yuki needs to understand that the number one barrier between him and the second Red Bull seat is his attitude. Doesn't matter what results he gets, if he can't keep his composure at the junior team, there's no way he can deal with the pressure of the big team.
Lewis had overheating, battery and charging issues, and a broken seat, yet still finished only 4 seconds behind George (who had overheating also). You're making it sound like it was some sort of huge embarrassment for Lewis and making a mountain out of a molehill that it's some kind of bad look for Ferrari.
Carlos "burning bridges" with Ferrari is not a good look? What do you expect him to do? Just waste away sitting behind Charles? He ended up only 2.5 seconds behind Checo, and MAYBE could have caught him if he hadn't had to waste time and tire life fighting a hobbled Charles.
Bottas hit Nico AFTER Nico had already hit Stroll.
I like your videos, but sometimes I feel like you're takes are you just taking the piss.
Gostei muito da análise. Vou começar a seguir.
Winners - Max
Losers - Everyone wanting to watch something fun and competitive
Pretty much
So you won't be watching the rest of the season then?
Were you saying the same thing during the 8 years of Mercedes' DOMINANCE ?
Would have if I watched it back then :)
@@divinitygaming8673
Dos: In the Mercedes Dominance we had more world championship fights than the current redbull one have had. lol
instant follow, love the eloquence. Hi from across the pond.
No driver wants to lose to their teammate, and Yuki's frustration is even more understandable bcz Ricciardo albeit in a softer tyre wasn't blistering and had nothing against Magnussen. So, it only ended up making Yuki look like the weaker driver of the two on papers, which wasn't the case in reality.
Bro, I love ur videos. Keep it up
Tsunoda really screwed up, you think Red Bull are looking on thinking they want THAT from their driver lmao
I get the vibes that yuki doesn’t want that seat.
@@carlosenriquez8394its a career killer. I think only drivers in their 30s have real interest in that seat
To think that Ferrari thought Carlos wouldn't pose a fight is just plain dumb. Of course they know he's going to do everything he can to earn another seat, but stop pretending like ferrari thought he would be helpless and complacent. It is not some 'villain arc', it's sainz doing what he has always done...performing to the best of his ability.
Thank you for the well thought out and objective round-up and so chuffed you stayed away from the other RB issue. Also really sad to see after such a sterling effort from Carlos, it appearing as through no one from Ferrari was there to greet him. Personally I think Lewis will be kept more at arms length my Mercedes as the years draws on...
Yuki’s temperament will cost him going to a the senior RB team, you can’t have a second driver who will refuse team orders, or who will be petulant and almost wipe out his team mate out of anger. The second RB seat will be best for a driver who is calm and composed.
I think if either george or sainz started in second, they would have been able to hang onto max MUCH longer.
Charles got a very slow start compared to max, holding up the others, AND he was locking up constantly and forcing a battle to get past him. That entire time, max was just... Leaving. And checo was working through the pack.
Charles more or less acted as a rear gunner for max (and checo by proxy) and held up his teammate multiple times, who - if not for that - would have been in second place judging by the gap to perez at the end there.
Really unfortunate that people are writing the race/year off, because in all reality, Ferrari played directly into Red Bull's hands as perfectly as possible being resr Gunners who couldn't catch up but could battle and slow down each other and everything else that made a swing (including indirectly causing heating/battery issues for George)
This isn't to say that Charles sucks or deserves to be called to let sainz pass every weekend, but today was definitely not his day at all.
The amount of hate checo gets is ridiculous.
I'm glad Checo is doing well and now he has a chance for a deal!
I think that what yuki did on the cooldown lap was uncalled for. I can understand his frustration because they did ask him to do it when there were a couple laps left, but just dive bombing your teammate and also taking him out is something that is gonna make you look bad. Redbull aren't gonna give him that opportunity to partner up with max if he's going to continue to have these out-bursts. He really needs to learn to control his anger and not take it out on others because something didn't go his way.
sainz had the saem problems and he said and you could see him do it go out of the line on the strait to cool the breaks more he had the same problems maybe not so bad but maybe he managed it better
Have to say Lance Stroll impressed me with his comeback performance after the unfortunate turn one incident. I hope this season is a turning point for him and he can start to change people’s minds about him. He and Fernando look like a strong team starting this year and with the right upgrades they could move up from last year especially if Lance can begin to match his teammate
Watched my first grand prix in nearly a year. What can I say? It's the same old, but I'm excited for the many battles Zhou definitely won this weekend, so did Sainz, both grew with time in this sport.
Unpopular opinion, Redbull should consider binning Checo and sign Sainz if Checo falls off during this season.
Great video keep it up you're doing amazing things also No Carlo Sainz No Party 🎉🎉🎉
We’ll be the only ones celebrating. Doesn’t look like Ferrari will be.
I have some optimism Williams can still climb up the order. They got their cooling wrong this race which might be because they missed quite a bit of running during the test. If they can get to know their car better and iron out the reliability issues they should be in the fight for P6 in the constructors.
Zhou drove a good race. He is fighting for his job..
I truly hope Aston is working with a plan. It would break my heart for alonso to leave without another win... Or even podium, much less championship.
That man brings so much entertainment just through his own balls bringing him through races/quali, and his radio comments. He deserves a good ending to his career.
You have the best studio on RUclips❤
Sergio and Carlos, set a marker.
Carlos has most chance of beating his teammate in 24', But Lewis will battle with what he has, shame he went different to George on setup, but last yaer and 22 we saw Lewis, trying to improve the car for the team with different setups. At the end of 24' Lewis will comfortably beat George again, we saw George waste so much time and laps with another silly mistake, (Temperature problem apparently).. All in all same as 23'
If Stroll's drive from last to 10th had been done by anyone else, it would have been drive of the day
I think we’re gonna see a much better season from Sargeant this year. He was doing great until that steering wheel remembered it was a Williams
I wonder if Carlos keeps showing his pace and beating Charles if he gets a shot at the RB seat, especially if Yuki/Daniel don't show anything more
Carlos did not beat Charles on pace yesterday, don't get that twisted, okay?
could be possible..him and Max were such a strong combination in torro rosso
If this, if that... Sainz had the same break issue as Leclerc but he remained calm and actually found a solution by himself to manage it.
Perez also had issues with the engine and driveability and was focusing on only mantining the gap with Sainz.
Almost all teams and drivers were managing some kind of problem with their car.
Charles is the most protected driver
What? He did not have the same issue.
He didn't have the same issue you absolute waste
17 second gap in ten laps........ the rest is crumbs
Max had his Weetabix.
I still dont get what Ferrari really sees in Leclerc ? Hes fast on one lap pace , but always falls apart in the race ! Watch him really crumble once Lewis gets treated better !
I’d say Alpine is the new Williams, and Aston Martin is the new Apline at the moment. We’ll see if things change throughout the season.
Peter Windsor said that George was on the ragged edge on his quali lap & he didn't think he could have repeated it. It will be interesting to follow
Thought that was the point of qualifying in Q3. Go as fast as the car will go...
Personally, I think everyone should concentrate on Racing and what’s going on on track who cares about their personal lives, and what they do off track is really none of our business
I hope Carlos out-points Charles this year and that Charles out-points Lewis next year. Carlos is seriously underrated.
Winners 1.Magnussen, 2.Stroll, 3.Zhou , Losers 1.Alonso (I,m a huge Alonso fan , but I think Stroll did better (Was spun round in lap 1 ) 2.this is a cool spot RB 3. I,d say Williams both drivers had a lot of temperature issues (Sargeant lost a lap…
I do get the feeling Lance has lightened up a little.
Ow.. forgot Alpine… or should I said Alpain ? Even Matt Harman and Dirk de Beer gonna leave…
You know this opener was bad when the most interesting this was a team order between team mates for... P13
Merc & Ferrari will be looking at Maclaren nervously. Can't wait to see how they do next race.
I bet this guy has some insane VHS tapes in his attic.
Why is Bottas the instigator at turn one when Lance decided to turn in and slowpoke through the apex ?
On his onboard, Valtteri broke too late and tapped Hulk which unsettled him into Lance.
The funny thing is that unless Merc are entirely bereft of their senses they will pick up Carlos on a two year deal (no, Audi isn't going to turn up) which will mean a big headache for George instead of Charles... Yes, yes they could grab 'Nando (if they can convince him of winning drive) but that would be proper fireworks...
...for myself I'd like to see Nico in at Merc, not entirely for nostalgia's sake. Oh, biggest looser? F1 yet again!
Yuki really needs to fix his temper. I'm willing to bet that Yuki's temper is one of the only if not the only thing why Redbull wants Danny over Yuki
Tone has been set at Racing Bull.
I wonder if the team orders call was to see whether Yuki could play a team-mate... he failed... they don't want someone who will argue if told to let Max past
I never knew MasakoX (AKA tfs Goku) covered F1. My life is complete.
Leclerc always does well in qualifying and poorly in the races. Sainz will get the podium if he is in the position to get it
In Lewis' interviews this weekend, he had a smile on his face dispite not doing as well as George. I could be coping but he looks like he's happy to drive an actual race car for a change, and if Mercedes' issues are fixable, I have hope he'll improve.
I really think you are right about Lec getting second if he didn’t have the issue 💪🏻 Red Bull is good but so is Ferrari! And yes.. Max is from Mars but it is going to be a interesting year🥳
You could stick Steven hawking in the RB-20, and he would probably win something. It's already clear the car is overpowered. 😂
Both of the cars absolutely destroy people out of corners and on the straights. The vehicle is clearly superior and way ahead of the pack at the moment.
Gunther Stiener to Alpine at least get plenty of publicity with Drive to Survive...
The hopium and copium is strong. Mclaren were not “winners”!
Mclaren were talking up their chances of closing the gap to Red Bull and challenge them for race wins, yet they ended up being further away from Red Bull than they were at the end of last season. Lando didn’t look anymore likely to win a race and finished 3/4 of a minute behind Max, whilst Piastri finished almost a minute behind Max.
All that Mclaren look like to me is a front running midfield team, nothing more than that. They haven’t been a proper front running teams since Lewis’s last year at the team way back in 2012!
Race was decent I’m looking forward to this season and hopeful that we get a lot of action in the back to mid field of the grid just from this race my money is on Max & Red Bull to win the championships
Isn’t the new principal for this team the guys who used to decide strategies for Ferrari?
Man Alpine didn't even have a replacement for Otmar. Bruno is not a leader, he's not a team principal he's a workhorse that is completely out of his place. Total disarray in this team. I love it 😂
Carlos will have driven for half the teams on the grid when he gets his next drive. I hope he does the set
They need to sit Yuki for a race or 2 and put Lawson in
Gotta love hothead Yuki. Right or wrong, it’s very entertaining.
@lawVS You talked about the issues george had, but did not mention the issues lewis had. Like the seat being broken as well as the same heating issue along with that issue helping to cause a new issue of draining the battery without him using it.
Too many should’ve, could’ve and would’ves for the Merc, Ferrari and McLarens.. especially Lando. I like Lando but I’ve heard too many reasons/excuses from for a while now
The Yuki situation was triggered by the incompetent race engineers; pit strategy ruined both drivers. I agree Yuki dive bomb was the wrong reaction but don’t think it was as dangerous as people make it out to be (watched both onboards). The first race lacked the fighting drama in the front, so there you are
I've thought about it yesterday and don't like that the first race is also on the track they test on. Yes, it is more efficient and less flying.
However, it does make certain teams look much better than they are. I mean, during qualifying, I'd hope to see cars being super close to each other as they just had 20 hours or so to test the car.
Coming week will be different and we will see larger gaps. We will also see how the teams in the factory and sim are working together.
Let's put on pink glasses for fun - what if VCARB ends the race in p9 and p10 next race? Haas, Aston Martin, Williams, just not having the quality of analysts that other teams have.
We'll see.
I missed the daily videos this week! Just happy to see another fine video from yourself!!
I think they should award points from 1 to p20 its gonna make it way more interesting for the back markers p15 and p17 gonna matter now a lot.
