St Nectan's Glen, one of Cornwall's most spiritual and beautiful locations near Tintagel. Home to a stunning 60ft waterfall, situated in the magical woodland of the glen, a place where many go to meditate, contemplate and remember.
We have had this spot on our Cornwall bucket list for a long time now and we are thrilled we can finally tick it off. It is by far one of the most awe-inspiring locations we have visited in Cornwall and we can only recommend you visit yourself. We hope we have captured some of its beauty in this vlog. ✨
Thank you for watching,
CJ Explores ✌

Welcome so nice of you.
Myself and my Wife absolutely love your videos, they're very vibrant and cheerful. We did wonder, having watched your Australian, European and Brit vids, do your jobs effect your travelling, how do you fit everything in? We're Norfolk UK based, you'll have to visit sometime, the beaches are gorgeous.
Hi Dr Jackdaw and fam! Thanks for the lovely comment ❤️ we do try our best to keep them fun and informative to help others travel easier 😉 we don’t really have proper jobs, we sort of make our living on RUclips and also freelance video editing for other people. Occasionally we do get work opportunities arising from our social media channels, so it really means a lot when we have fans such as yourselves that really make all this possible! We would love to come for a trip to Norfolk, this year is currently very jam packed however, so it will definitely have to wait until at least Autumn 😊 thanks for your support guys, lovely to read your comment 🥰
@@cjexplores Hi CJ, thank you so much for your lovely reply. We are slowly going through your videos, usually breakfast watching, the Cornish ones are fab, we love Cornwall. Strangely you've added to the inspiration we feel about ourselves " living the dream", although oldsters, we are cutting the cords with society and pursuing our dream, turning into 21st century Hippies. We study astrology, amongst other things, can I ask, what are your star signs? many blessings
@@drjackdaw6627 aww that’s nice 😌 that feeling you speak of, wanting to detach from the “norm”, is something we have always felt! We’ve never wanted to be stuck in the 9-5 grind and we can’t be more thankful that we have this opportunity to create the life we want! Btw, Charlotte wants to study Astrology! She is a Gemini and I am a Leo 😊 we’d love to hear how you plan to cut ties with the norm and chase your dream!
@@cjexplores Hi Again, just had a vegan lunch and watched your Heidelberg trip, beautiful city. I study astrology from a 17th century point of view, so different from our modern perspective, I wish you luck with your endeavors. A Gemini will have ideas on the back burner for a while, as there's always other ideas lol, two minds if you like. Looking forward to your next installments, keep smiling
@@drjackdaw6627 aww lovely 🥰 glad you enjoyed Heidelberg. That was the second time I’ve been there, such a lovely German city ❤️ haha Charlotte said “Yup!” That’s totally her 😂 next one is a Cornwall hike coming out tomorrow 😁 and a bit of cold water exposure in a lovely wooded river 🌱
Hello, this is a very nice place to visit. Looks natural, beautiful, very refreshing. I like it very much. If I have a chance to try to travel.
Thanks ELD ch! It is such a wonderful place to visit. Voted one of the most spiritual places to visit in the UK 😍
waterfall
Bingo!!
It was free. When we went to see it unspoiled the cafe was small and they had a parrot at the cafe shame it’s gone commercial
I guess they saw an opportunity and took it eh? Would’ve loved to have seen it before all the change!
@@cjexplores yes I think you would have like it
Are you from england or ireland?
England 🏴 🧜♀️
@@cjexplores
Nice! 👍
England was my first guess.
Am not very good at identifying accent between english, Irish and New Zealand. They kind of like sound the same to me.
@@MustafaAli-lb8dq you did well too narrow it down! Charlotte is from England and Cory is from New Zealand ✌🏼
You didn't mention the ancient cup and ring carvings on the rock face. It's worth the visit just to see them, no-one knows who, when or why they were carved / chiselled there.
This place was truly magical b4 the cat got let out off the bag!😢
Like a lot of places really, but nothing ever stays the same. There will be new places that are discovered and hopefully leave the previous ones to recover a little from over tourism 🙏🏼
It was so much better before it became a tourist attraction, the owners have ruined the whole experience
*your whole experience
Absolutely mate, we live close by, and it pains me to see it that way.
Do remember doing this walk about 5 years ago. Must have missed the sign at the entrance so was naturally shocked to see they wanted nearly 8 quid to see a waterfall. Just turned around and didn't bother, resent paying to see natural places. Nice vid tho 👍
Hi ProcyonAlpha, thanks for your comment. We can see both sides of the coin here. Such a beautiful place sometimes needs guardians to care for it. We have seen so many, what would be the most beautiful places, had they not been vandalised, treated as trash dumps, and generally disrespected. We are glad to see that this places has been cared for 🙏🏼 but we also agree it should be free for people to visit if they wish to. Maybe there could be a pay it forward scheme, or a pay what you can scheme to support the protection of this area ❤️
