He is unreal, just unreal /Ages like, finest wine/ I love his tone and his riffs and solos are just pure class everything he does is top notch/ He is playing like every note means everything / Makes insane playing look easy 😁 Gotta love Michael Schenker ♥️👍😎
shunned by Germany and embraced by the UK and then the USA hard rock fans of the 70's and 80's. What player. to this day to watch him play is a sheer treat. Geeze, thought he was going to kill the drummer. Awesome

But this has very little in common with that 45 year old solo. In fact, apart from a few recognizable marker points that help the band know were they are, it's just inane drivel. IMHO Michael's style of play has changed for the worst over the last ten years, gone is the melodic wizardry that graced the UFO and early MSG albums. IMHO He's never bettered The Strangers In The Night version.
@@iltonwhite Can't disagree with most of your comment, but mind you this performance likely wasnt intended to be captured for a live release. It seems at times he's purely improvising, searching for something new. After 45 years, maybe there's some boredom and a bit of self indulgence, which is usually at the detriment of the audience. Yet in the moment I found myself smiling at hearing some new things and couldnt wait to hear what he was going to play next. Strangers In The Night flowing/melodic no, interesting yes. For me, if it was anybody else simply jamming on a 45 year old tune, I probably would have lost interest after a minute or so.
@@maorienteg While I also get his point, I'm with you. I saw this show on Saturday night, in Sacramento, and was still mesmerized. It's not 1978 anymore. He's 65 years old, and still killing it, and doesn't miss a note. I waited 7 hours to get my rail spot, directly in front of him, and thoroughly enjoyed every second of it.

Sweet video. Thx for this. Was there too (saw myself when you panned the crowd). Surprised people were not more into it, at least for the MSG stuff. I surely was. Freakin loved it. Saw the show in SJ last yr too. Long Live Michael!!
so glad you posted these vids up. going to see him on may 3rd and can't wait to hear some of the old ufo songs but i better take some condoms along to avoid the mess in my pants at the awesome playing. lol

This is the best rock-bottom video I've ever seen keep coming back to it all the time thanks so much Paul from Seattle thanks
How many guitarists can keep you listening to every note of a 45 year solo?

Bodo Great!
The same guys that were at the UFO show in 1977! Its just 40 years later.
Sorry, but watched it again so...
Tell me, who can't help but smile ear to ear at 12:03.
Gotta love how he holds the previous vibrato till just the right moment. Impeccable timing.
I love that move he does at 12:03,thats bad ass
Some of his moves while playing legato look sped up, absolutely amazing how fast he still is at 64.
EVH has said he was one of his biggest influences. You can hear it here.
He's like German down hill slalom skier hitting all the gates.
Fucking Genius!!
great sound, what were you recording with? thanks for the post too!
Schenker is Rock Bottom. Always will be the master. But it's not truly Rock Bottom without Phil Mogg on vocals.
11:30! Shit that’s good 😳
How was that taken? Very good quality
this here is the pepper!!! you want some mora? right there on the flora? you like a da pepper, the pepper is a good:-)
Looks like Wayne Finley backin him up
Fantastic job David!
Nothing is better than being there, but this is close.
Any chance Michael asked you to join him on tour?
Who the fuck gave this a thumbs down???
someone tell evh to watch this he may get inspired
Hendrix, eh?
Ordinary Rock. Been there done that.
Jeezuz fuckin christ
Overated. Yes he influenced a whole new crew to excel....If I gotta say more..... Shame on you
no hat please michael
Oh, those god dern hats.
It must be hot as hell to!
He's bald that's way he wears the hat just a guess.
I'm glad I didnt have to continue playing that generic riff the rest of my life
Some leads are awesome, but in between a lot of doodling.
I wish he'd stop this fest nonsense, all the vocalists apart from Doogie are well past it.
Probably another reason he is so loud in the mix :0)
