Thank you for a great lesson! In your first example for "....... pour acheter une maison". Why do we add pour? Doesn't acheter directly translate to "to buy"?
Not that I can think of, but their participe passé is different. Mis and Battu. But participe passé kind of have their own little life so they usually don't match 😉

Cela veut dire que si j'entends le T alors c'est au pluriel. Mais qu’arrive-t-il à la liaison ? Comment prononcer : « il met une orange sur la table » et « ils mettent une orange sur la table » ?

Learning the conjunction by groups is really helpful. Just so I understand verbs ending in ttre all have the same conjunction? Are the any exceptions?

Il met une orange sur la table you can either add a liaison or not, up to you.
Ils mettent une orange, no liaison :)
