Thank you so much for these videos. You helped me narrow down my selection and on Black Friday I picked up the ECOVACS Deebot Ozmo T8+ and I am IN LOVE!! I was very impressed with how easy it was to set up, how thoroughly it cleans the house, including cat litter! And the mopping function for light cleaning works great! I’ve decided to name my robot James and I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship! ❤️🤖
Well I bought the deebot and sold my roborock. I'm very disappointed, both in navigation and it's ability to handle doorsteps etc. For me the improved vacuum is nothing if the robot is stuck every time it cleans
@@GlennJanssen the deebot. It failed handling even basic scan of my house. And the replies I got from their customer service was even worse. I bought the s6 and returned the deebot.
I'm considering buying the Deebot 950. I was going to buy the S6, but seems like it's not much of an upgrade over the S5. Now the S5 max is coming soon, and I'm not sure if I should go for the Deebot 950 or the S5 max at this point..
i read two different reviews saying the Deebot 950 mapping system failed to save or over wrote itself causing the robot not to be able to find the base station. Any thought?
this video played a big role in my decision to buy a Deebot 950 and I couldn't be happier. It is better than I thought even with the info I got from the reviews. Thank you!
Very cool comparison, I wonder if they are going to release the Ozmo 960 with the front camera that cables and socks🤔🤔🤔. Vacuum Wars has the best Vacuum Review videos period 😃
Vacuum Wars Ok I will keep an eye on your channel and when you get it before me I will be super Happy to see it in action and super sad too that you got it before me hahaha
Deebot must have watched your videos to make sure they designed a robot that could ace the tests. Thanks for setting the gold standards of robot vacuums :)
When can we expect a full review of the ozmo 950 with a look at app features and everything? Seems like a really good bot with a lot of features! I already have the s5 and I'm looking to buy another bot, but I'm sceptical about the s6 though. Doesn't really feel like much of an upgrade over the s5. Lower air flow, and it can't even avoid carpets while mopping, nor does it work with multiple floors (yet)..
The S6 did not turn out to be what I was expecting. The Deebot 950 seems much more capable. Check out the Deebot Ozmo 960 as well, which has object recognition too! These are the features the S6 should have had. Currently it feels more like an S5.5 except that it has lower suction, which isn't really an upgrade in my opinion. It's like releasing a new sports car which is quieter than the previous model, but has less horsepower.. (!!!...) It's a vacuum cleaner! I don't care about the noise. I just want it to clean well! Hopefully we'll see some reviews of these models soon :>
I own both but prefer the S6 by far. In my experience, airflow is not the deciding factor but rather navigation and how it interacts with your home. The 950 is rougher with my furniture pushing vases and objects around my house. I have noticed in some rooms taking the same cleaning path (thus cleaning the same area again) and having to realise where it actually is again. It also couldn't handle my shag carpet requiring 5 restarts in one session. M S6 doesn't have any of these problems thus it made me appreciate Roborock even more than I did before buying the 950. The only thing i like about the 950 is its superior carpet detection capability and its overall look
Would be nice if you did a long term review for these robot vacuums - cos that’s really important to make a decision...the deebot gets poor ratings on Amazon from real actual users....which is somewhat the opposite of what you’re saying here.
I wonder some of the other key factors were never mentioned to let Deebot really shine. For example, how durable are brushes and noise level? Suction is great but does it come with any compromise? Curious to learn about these too. Thanks for such detailed review of all features mentioned on your video!
I have used a random cleaning pattern Roomba for 7 years. I have high respect for Roomba. Great product. I replaced the wheels/motor once, the battery twice, and the filters and brushes several times. The random cleaning pattern did a far better job that I ever did on my own, but it wasn't perfect. (I am a professional and busy guy, but cleaning isn't my strong suit even when not busy) It was also getting quite noisy, but I will tell you, it always had a full bin of debris when it ran, unless it got stuck on something. But it definitely did not clean the rear of the condo as well as the area around the charger. I got my money's worth at 7 years. In my book, Roomba makes bulletproof products always worthy of consideration. But they tend to be more expensive than others. Being thrifty, I did not want to spend as much as $500 on a new robot, since LIDAR has been out for several years now. Time to try something new. I got the Ecovacs Deebot 950 on sale. I live in a 1100 square foot condo, one adult, no kids, no pets. Dustier than normal due to concrete construction and being near several large roadways. But other than that, easy to clean. It mapped wrong 3 times in a row. Could never get me a good map. I almost kept it because it was very quiet and seemed to do a good job (always debris in bin). But it also couldn't make its way back to the charger. That was the last straw. So I got rid of it for the following reasons: CONS 1. Could not get the map right. 2. Would pull to the middle the house and die because it couldn't find its charging station. 3. Replacement parts are slightly expensive and non-OEM brushes not great. 4. The filter and emptying the bin was a less easy and efficient process than emptying a 7 year old Roomba. PROS 1. Very quiet compared to a 7 year old Roomba with non OEM motors, wheels, battery. 2. Far more efficient at cleaning, except it couldn't map right. 3. When I worked, it did the whole condo in an hour or so without disturbing anything. I liked it because it cleaned my house quick and was quiet. But I never knew if it did the whole house because it would die, and I could never set up zones or anything because of mapping. The S6 went on sale for under $400, so I thought I'd give it a try. Setup is just as easy as the Ecovacs. BUT...it mapped the condo PERFECTLY the first try. It is jut as quiet as the Ecovacs. The bin was really full on the first run and it hit every part of the house with a perfect map. S6 Pros 1. Got the map right on the first try and found the charging station. 2. Cleaned the whole house quickly, didn't get stuck, didn't bang on stuff, and quietly. 3. Picked up lots of debris. 4. Easy set up. 5. I like black vacuums, so I was able to get the S6 in black. 6. The empty bin is one piece, easy to open and empty. CONS 1. Roborock is a Communist China company, and I have grave misgivings about giving any Communist Chinese company any data. This doesn't have a camera, so I guess I don't care about that, but it puts an app on your phone, so WHO KNOWS what data it is sending out. 2. No idea of its likely longevity, or whether everything inside the machine can be replaced like a Roomba. If not, based on the longevity of my last robot, if I cannot replace the battery (other than filter and brush, it is the first major component to go in robot vaccums), I will get 2-3 years from it. I guess around $125 per year for a clean house is not a bad deal, assuming it lasts 3 years, not counting replacement filters and brushes. It is early yet, but if the Roborock S6 continues to perform as it has, I will keep it, and happily. Along with my Roomba Braavajet 240, which is surprisingly good, I am pretty well covered for cleaning.
Can you do noise test for those major competitors in premium tier? That's somehow important for people who use robot vacuum when they're at home or people who has baby or little pets.
Wow, that Deebot is expensive. I'm really happy with my Roborock S5 and only paid $399 for it. Was also able to get a new Neato D7 for < $300 thanks to a friend who works for Neato. I thought the Neato would be my fav, and it is good, but the Roborock app is easy to use and it navigates surprisingly well. Can't wait until there's a robot that can clean stairs. And windows.
One thing you left out..... Which needs to ALWAYS be mentioned... How does the robot react to dark or black rugs? Does it activate the cliff sensors or does it vacuum it like normal?
At this point I pretty much assume all cliff sensors work, if they dont have them I will mention it but its only happend once. I used to mention noise more. Its just that these days there is almost no variation between them I get between 58 and 62
@@VacuumWars so what are you saying about the Deebot 950 then? It does have cliff sensors right? Because the Neato D7 has cliff sensors and works on black rugs fine, but as far as I know the S5/S6 do not work on black rugs because of their cliff sensors. This always concerns me because we have 2 big black/tan rugs in our house.
Very nice review! I already bought the Roborock s5 second edition. After only 5 months the laser had a malfunction. Luckily the seller will have me a full refund. Now I know I'm going to buy the deepbot 950. I'm a gadget freak and I was already very happy with the s5, but it let me down. So time for a new one! Thanks!
The I7 is interesting as a I7+ because of the deposit in the charging station. Hard floors, no small kids, no animals, the I7+ is the best choice if you just dont wanna think about vacuming for weeks at a time
Could you do Eufy L70 review? It is equipped with Lidar-based smart navigation, 2200 Pa suction, and mopping capability. The price tag is $550. How can you beat that?
Hi Cavuum Wars. I think it's time to compare the Roborock S5 Max and the Deebot 960. Although I can't find where the Deebot 960 is for sale anywhere in Australia yet.
I hope you might answer this question. Can two people have the app set up for one DEEBOT OZMO 950? If my wife sets it up with it reset the unit, or will she get all the setting I have, or can she just log in with the same account. I can use trial and error, but prefer to not go through all the initial house mapping. Could she also just log into my account? Thanks.
Other than the S9+ being a D shape, why not include it in this comparison? Also, just out of curiosity, do you have a good comparison of mopping robots? I am immensely curious to see how the modern mopping robots compare to the old Scoobas (330, 380, 390 and 450). I have 2 Scooba 330s, 2 380s and one 450. I haven’t found anything “modern” that can even come close considering the modern mopping robots take the Swiffer approach of just pushing a pad across the floor. It would be awesome to see a methodical comparison in a test like you do for the vacuums...
It is foolish to buy a midranged or low end product based upon the performance of the brand's halo top end product. This is certainly true of both Roomba and Deebot right now. Roborock is in a strange place, their S6 is meh... but their mid and low end offerings are great. Of course as with all things this can change in a generation. XD Great review as always.
Ana E , I agree. I have several Roombas ranging from 2 500 series, two that I got from Walmart a long time ago that resemble the first Roombas and now a S9+. While non of my older Roombas can hold a candle to the new S9+, even the cheapo Walmart versions that are so loud you have to scream over them to be heard, clean the floor just as effectively as the 500 series. You definitely know when they are running though...anywhere in the house...
- Navegation: S6 has AI - Battery charge: S6 (3-4 vs 5-6 hours) - Less noise: S6 (about 10 db less) + the point that you took to the S6 at 6:58 instead of adding it. That gives the S6 8 points in total
Which one would you pick between Deebot 950 and Shark IQ robot based on suction power and airflow? I need a good robotic vaccum which can clean hardwood floor and carpet as well. I do not want to spend $1400 for S9+ though. Thanks for making great videos.
Thank you for such a great review! I decided to buy the deebot 950 and I’m loving it!!!! Worth every cent. I have chronic fatigue and I am so excited to have a robotic maid cleaning my floors whenever I want! It does everything you said.
You should also do a full test in larger areas and see if the robot can find it's way back to the docking station. From what I've read on Amazon, the Deebot have that problem.
Right but after going to the clean base & not having to touch the roomba i7 my 5 yo named Robo.... there is 0 chance I can go back to a robot without a clean base
first of all thank you for your amazing videos! I m on my way to buy a robot vacuum but I would like to know, what's the diference between the Deebot 930 vs 950?
Can Deebot be scheduled to automatically run twice a day: e.g. in the morning and before I get home from work ? It would be optimal to run robots at the ends of quiescent times when all the dust has settled.
we have a 15 mm threshold and my recently bought deebot stuck on it half the rounds and our Robo rock bought the same time at similar price always get over it maybe not quite smoothly but definitely with ease.. wonder if our deebot is faulty or something...
Tell me please,Was the airflow measured without a brush installed?Or were measurements taken with a central brush installed?I wonder what airflow with a direct suction nozzle without a brush Deebot Ozmo 950???
I own a Roborock s6 that has 2000pa but only 15cfm? Can anyone help explain how you can have a higher pa but much lower cfm? Also, what would you place a higher importance on when making a purchase, cfm or pa? Thanks!
How come I can only draw boxes and not lines on my deebot ozmo 950 Ecovacs app?? I can still adjust the box to look like a thin line but I have a feeling there was an update since I got the device few days ago.
I had a roborock s5 and I was very happy. Now I have a roborock s6 and I'm happy. It cost 347usd with 2 years warranty + 30 usd for 5 year warranty extension
@@zorrier your comment doesn't make sense since the i7 is still quite expensive as well and also do you implicitly and maybe unknowingly also mean that expensive products might be better than the cheaper deebot and xiaomi?
@@rifleman542 His comment makes 100% sense as it is exactly what is stated 10 seconds into the video. They were chosen because they were similarly priced (what they are available for, not what MSRP is) at the time he made the video. That is how almost all comparisons are done, to things in similar price range. This channel has recent 'best' overall vacuum, regardless of price, videos that you can find if that is what you want to see.
Would you say the deebot is the best bot you've tested aside from those new ones with AI cameras? Seen one for sale second hand near me and I am very tempted

Please do a review of the 360 S6/7, I've had mine for a week now, and at only $330 it looks like it would stack up well against these. I've been really impressed with the Li-dar nav, and how powerful and clean it gets my carpets
S6---did you measure airflow on turbo and max modes? Deebot 950 doesnt seem to have many strong online ratings/reviews. I'm currently testing the i7 and S6
I know on the Deebot 950 or T5 it measures 24cfm on max+ but do you have the measurement on just the Max setting. I can barely hear any difference so I’m just wondering what the actual difference is.
Great comparison video, Thanks!! It would be great to see a comparison video of all the Deebot models. Especially since Costco and best buy placed the 920 and 930 on sale. You've done a similar video with the roborock line up. Thanks.

XD
Great review as always.
How come nobody talks about Deebot U2 (not pro)
Also what's better Deebot U2 or Proscenic 850p?
- Navegation: S6 has AI
- Battery charge: S6 (3-4 vs 5-6 hours)
- Less noise: S6 (about 10 db less)
+ the point that you took to the S6 at 6:58 instead of adding it.
That gives the S6 8 points in total
How many passes does the robot do when cleaning a flat? One pass at every place or more?
So how do these compare to the convenience of grabbing the stick Dyson when the kids spill some food on the floor and you want it gone quickly?
Which one would you pick between Deebot 950 and Shark IQ robot based on suction power and airflow? I need a good robotic vaccum which can clean hardwood floor and carpet as well. I do not want to spend $1400 for S9+ though.
Thanks for making great videos.
Hi. How is the 'Deebot' app? I've seen other reviews with Ecovac vacumms that said the app was the weakest point. Has it been improved?
Nice comp. How about dusting? How well they pick up fine dust?
Very informative 👏
But why didn't you include purchase price? Just as important as performance 🎭
For a well rounded presentation
How about volume? Is it as loud as a regular vacuum?
Thank you for such a great review! I decided to buy the deebot 950 and I’m loving it!!!! Worth every cent. I have chronic fatigue and I am so excited to have a robotic maid cleaning my floors whenever I want! It does everything you said.
Hi! Very nice reviews. How does the Deebot compare to the Neato D7?
Hi, again great review. What is your thought on this. Roborock S5 Max or Ozmo 950?
You should also do a full test in larger areas and see if the robot can find it's way back to the docking station. From what I've read on Amazon, the Deebot have that problem.
Right but after going to the clean base & not having to touch the roomba i7 my 5 yo named Robo.... there is 0 chance I can go back to a robot without a clean base
Would love to see how it stacks up against the d7. Great video as always!
Have you tested the Deebot Ozmo 920? Costco has it for $399 in the LA area.
Why is this not compared to the s9?
Why didn't you compare it with the neato d7?
So why didn’t you put the s9 there?
first of all thank you for your amazing videos! I m on my way to buy a robot vacuum but I would like to know, what's the diference between the Deebot 930 vs 950?
As always thanks for your amazing reviews. Though in this video I think many of the points given to deebot should've been a draw.
Maybe, I did do a draw on most issues that were close (Nvaigation etc).
Please do compare od Deebot 950 and Roomba S9
The test was carried out at maximum speed, and did the Deebot Ozmo 950 have a central brush?
Saw this as an ad but this is a good video.
Do you still recommend Deebot Ozmo 950 over iRobot Rooba i7+?
Hi, What are your thoughts about Deebot Ozmo 920?
Thanks
Excellent review !! Thank you very much. Very illustrative and thorough.
Thanks for the great testings and reviews! Is any Robo vacuum cleaner works on Shaggy rugs on a hard floor at all?
I had a roborock s5 and I was very happy.
Now I have a roborock s6 and I'm happy. It cost 347usd with 2 years warranty + 30 usd for 5 year warranty extension
Where do you live ? Roborock S6 retails for $600 in Eastern Europe.
@@phdnk Czech Republic
jakub kdyr Which one do you recommend between S5 and S6? Is S6 worth the extra money?
@@reyimansimayi103 S6 is quieter, faster, with adjustable water dosing. And can recognize a room (kitchen, bathroom, living room, ...)
Firstly, I love your videos - Secondly, I'm curious why you compared the Roomba i7 instead of the Roomba S9
Price
Where I can buy the Deebot Ozmo 950? it isn't available in the link :(
I'm sorry. Product availability can be a stretch right now.
Would you say the deebot is the best bot you've tested aside from those new ones with AI cameras? Seen one for sale second hand near me and I am very tempted
Does the new Deebot have a larger bin size than previous models?
If the i7 maps a bathroom with the light on (no outside windows), does it use its map to clean it when the lights are off?
Could you do a comparison between Ozmo 950 and Viomi V3?
If I may ask, as here the three top range from the three manufacturers are tested, why there's a Roomba i7 and not an S9?
Could you tell what difference between 900 and 950 please?
A new record? What about the iRobot S9?
Yeah the s9+ on high gets 22 cfm
Very Impressive the Deebot 950 can achieve over 2 hours running at 24 CFM. The Roomba s9 only runs at 22 CFM for 50 minutes 🥺🥺🥺. Anyone looking for an old s9 need to get the Deebot 950 now 🤭🤭🤭
@@PROJECTIRONWOLF1 Gotcha. Still unsure why the S9 wasn't included in the "comparison" chart.
@@danriddick914 it was around the same price point comparison where the s9 is more expensive
Hi I don't have pets and I'm wondering if the 950 is a more sound option. As the new t8 is so much more expensive and I'm not sure I need the Ai
Please do a review of the 360 S6/7, I've had mine for a week now, and at only $330 it looks like it would stack up well against these. I've been really impressed with the Li-dar nav, and how powerful and clean it gets my carpets
Is it normal for the robot to bumb into walls, tables and stuffs? Because I just got my 950, and it is scratched due to bumping into things
Thanks.
Eufy 11s? No good?
