Amidst all these strifes and narrow minded religiosity and intolerance towards a different religion displayed across the country , it is heartening to hear about the good Samaritan attitude of Muslims in Haryana. However, it is a pity that even in the 21st century, with literacy at the peak, people fight in the name of religion and indulge in mindless killings of felow human beings. Mr. Joe has correctly mentioned the umpteen instances in post independence Indian history when riots and large scale massacres occurred in the name of religion.
Let's forget about the Kanwar Yatra for a moment. During the Sabarimala season, devotees and pilgrims observe a period of spiritual discipline, or 'vrutham.' Interestingly, non-vegetarian hotels in the area voluntarily transform into 'Brahmins' hotels, serving only pure vegetarian food. This change is not mandated by law but rather a choice made to respect the beliefs of their customers. Similarly, some Hindus avoid onions during certain festive months, while Jains refrain from eating them altogether. In the spirit of religious harmony, that eatery owner could have avoided serving onions to cater to these diverse beliefs. Onions hold significant cultural, religious, and political value in India. Their scarcity or price surge can have far-reaching consequences, even influencing election outcomes. Looking forward to the next installment!
As usual you gone through the real trauma happening in Indian continent, Unfortunately the politicians pouring oil into that for the purpose of Vote. Religion is that much deep rooted and creates lots of hatred among people. Instead of trying to improve the society rich people are doing donations to religious groups and politicians……100% literacy claimed Kerala is also ……..
Rightly pointing out the deterioration of secular character of India. It might be the continuation of the past. But how long we need to wait to develop a human brain over religion for all Indians ?
Here comes the usual secularist. Muslims insist that they eat only halal food. Why not the same privilege for yatras? Muslims are not barred from selling but the requirement to display name and license numbers is meant for all and not just Muslims. Plus this requirement was there for a long time but never enforced. I stopped watching after 2 minutes.
Joe sir, I really appreciate your comparison of things happening in India. Please continue your good work.
Thank you so much, Maveli
Namaskaram, Shri Scariaji

Thank you for the comments, Jose Vettickatt
India's secularism is rooted in its history.
So is its religiosity
In it's Hindu culture.
Any other religion would not permit it.
