I would love to do some ballistic gel tests, but it's just pretty expensive and takes a lot to maintain them. We'll see what happens down the road a little bit I suppose
Yeah, I've had several requests for them, so I had to track some down to see what they could do. I have also tested the black magics a while back as well, so check that video out if you'd like
Definitely less than 75 yards they really are performers. Great test , love your Remington set up have a new turkey scope and rear sight base for my Remington Fieldmaster . Mine is a smoothbore. Thankyou Matt.
I have had some wad separation issues on various brenneke slugs with plastic base wads. That's with smooth bores, about 1 out of 3 or 4 shots the wad separates. And being smooth bores these slugs depend on the base wad to stay attached for stability. I think the spin from your barrel helped the bare slugs stay stable enough. That's just a theory, I would like to see you test the k.o.'s out of your Remington smoothbore .
Taofledermaus has slow mo videos of the brenneke slugs and when the plastic tail separates you can see the slugs wobble in flight . They’re supposed to help stabilize the slug which should lead to better accuracy
I bought 2 boxes of these, I noticed that the slug itself in one round sat deeper than the rest. It has no powder charge. Inspection of the rest I can easily see the various charge differences. I'm glad the hull is clear and you can see the powder. Lot# BR220125 purchased in 2023.
Eh, that's not really how it works when it comes to rifled and shotguns. If it were a handgun, it would be a different story. These are not even close to the shells that I have this setup zeroed with, so I did not expect them to impact exactly where I was aiming
Love the content, I think if you did some ballistic gel tests on these slugs people would love it

Happy you finally tested these I have a few boxes in storage along with the black magic mags

I've found these to work best in my Mossberg 500 with a smooth bore barrel, great video!
These are bad ass out of my 18.5 smooth bore.
Yeah, they seem to be some pretty interesting shells that have the potential to perform well with the right setup
Ive always like Em. Usually cheap enough. Thanks!
Yeah, they aren't as cheap as a foster slug, but they do seem to be pretty cheap for a Brenneke shell

Thanks, glad you enjoyed! Yeah, they would definitely be plenty good enough inside of 75 yards
Matt the slug Master!!!
Haha, I definitely like testing slugs!

Yeah, that theory could very well be correct. We may test them at some point through the 11-87, so we'll see what happens

I've got some green lightnings and the ATS slugs from brenneke, I've got to get out and test them out
I'm gonna be picking up some more Brenneke slugs this week, so I'll see if I can get some of those to test out

That's a bit surprising considering Brenneke is typically pretty consistent with their loads
Those yellow plastic pieces are supposed to stay attached and help with accuracy.
Usable for sure. It would get iv done if we do our part. Thank you.
Yep, they sure would be
100 yrd shot are shooter error. Pulling low left, your trigger pull needs work.
Eaither way you have kill shots.
