    My dad took me with him to purchase this car when I was 7. Still remember riding home. It was his baby and he kept it until he passed. It now belongs to me. So cool to drive around definitely turns heads. Not for sale.

    There is a ding in the taillight panel!
    It sticks out like a sore thumb.

      Two dings actually. One smaller one between the 2nd and 3rd tail light on left side. None of those would be much of a deal breaker though tbh.

    My dad had one. My mom wrecked it. They stayed married so it must have been love.

      @busterb11702 8 месяцев назад

      Correct. At the time it was a big deal to produce 1 hp per cubic inch.

    Obviously a 63+ engine if it's 425 hp. Also the 62 had a black painted dual snorkel air cleaner, chrome wasn't till 63

    This one hits all the marks Tony, but you didn't say what carburation it has. I think only the two-fours had 425hp that you mentioned it had. What I'd like to see on this beauty is the factory SS spinner hubcaps. After that, it would time to ride and show it. Save the Wave🙋‍♂

    The 409/ 425 horsepower didn’t come out until 1963. Not in 1962.

      Only made 3 of them in 62. They were the experimental Z 11's.
      409 bored to 427 with T-10 4 speed trannys and 4:11 posi rears also street legal.
      63 only produced 57 Z11's that were said to be rated at 435 h.p. for insurance purposes only.
      Was more like 570+h.p.
      "OLD RELIABLE" Was one of them.
      The Z11's were running 10.80 thru the 1/4 mile.
      Ford built the ThunderBolt to compete against them but still lost.

    to many red flags this can seems to be a fake 409 car

    Too bad they wrecked it with the wrong wheels, tire size, and 1967 opt red lines. Another shade tree mess.

    Don’t drive it to work. When you get off work it will be stolen guaranteed

      @rsstrazz6261 Год назад +1

      Correct, my '62 SS 409/409 was stolen twice, once from in front of my house. I even had 283 emblems on the fenders, to no avail.
