Anyone notice that Sally has basically the only remotely normal adult body in the entire movie? Jack is a freaking twig and then some people are like walking beach balls. I found this hilarious at first
Lol, ignorant.... Cross roads are in Kentucky... hence him being known there when someone sells their soul... He is KNOWN in England and France as JACK THE RIPPER... Try again mister cynic.
He probably just realized Jack was a real monster on Halloween, panicked, told everyone he'd seen a skeleton/scarecrow, no one believed him, and his life was ruined or something like that.
I just realized nightmare before christmas is about depression, i happened to recogniize myself in some bits of this song. it's strange that i didn't see that when i was a kid.
Here are my lyrics for Sally if she married Jack: “There are few who'd deny, at what we do, we are the best For our talents are renowned far and wide! When it comes to surprises in those moonlit nights, We excel without ever even trying!~ With the slightest little effort of our ghostlike charms, We have seen grown men give out a shriek! With the wave of his hand, and a well-placed moan, We have swept the very bravest off their feet! “Yet year after year, it's the same routine… And I grow so weary of the sight of those things… And I, Sally, the Pumpkin Queen… Have grown so tired of the same old thing… “Oh, somewhere deep inside of my heart There’s something tearing it apart… There's something there, burned deep in my mind… A jealousy that turns it unkind… “He’s a master of fright, I’m a demon of light And we’ll scare you right out of your pants! To the all children who are orphans, I'm Miss Fortune And we’re known throughout England and France! “And since I am a doll, I can feel no pain at all, To endure such different confrontations! I’m the only woman to own him like I can! With the fury of my burning frustrations! “But why would he ever understand… That his Pumpkin Queen with this broken grin… Would tire of this abuse, if he only understood… I’d make it all stop if I only could… “To that tall man I do love so dear… Why do you stare at these harlots here…? This pain you’ve wrapped ‘round my heart like twine… Causes the empty tears that I cry every night…”
I just realized that the thing Jack was missing was love... and at the end of the movie that empty hole was filled by his love for Sally... Am I wrong?
+shadsea madakin Actually, +Thor Wolfsbane is correct. Slenderman is based upon an old Romanian folktale called "Der Grossman", translating to "tall man". Sorry, I felt that I should put that out there. (: Old folklore like this interests me.
If they do a sequel, they have to have a scene in Kentucky where one guy yells out: "My god, it's MISTER UNLUCKY!" Otherwise, what are we doing here???
Hey Win! Fancy stumbling upon you here! And yes I would very much like to see that! Honestly, any song sung by Hamill in the voice of Joker would be pretty much awesome, I think =p
The guy from Kentucky seemed to know Jack for being Mr. Unlucky since Jack probably died for bad luck, and the guy saw when Jack died so the guy must keep Jack in his memories for being someone unlucky.

@XigMasterMac Actually, hate to break it to ya, but Slenderman was originally "The Great Man," a German mythological being, The Great Man is just the English translation of his German name. Same!! I watched this movie so much I basically knew the entire script! I'd literally watch it once and then maybe like halfway the next time before getting bored each morning!
Correct me if I'm wrong here but know that I'm older I think he is singing about not only being tired of Halloween but I think he is tired of his same old title and being nothing more than fear but he wants more for himself too

Terry Reeves oh my god I never noticed. Maybe she is a living person in disguise lol
They are monsters lol
“Walking beach balls” 😂😂😂

"Normal adult body" you mean normal besides her limbs constantly falling off and having to sew herself back together lol

It couldn't have been that good if he calls Jack 'Mr Unlucky.'
Sawyer Patton well he doesnt exactly have lips
He probably just realized Jack was a real monster on Halloween, panicked, told everyone he'd seen a skeleton/scarecrow, no one believed him, and his life was ruined or something like that.
Sawyer Patton my friend Lizzy says her uncle is the guy in Kentucky.
Danny elfman is such an amazing writer, composer and singer. It’s like he’s dropping bars on us with each line

I watch the movie at least once a year from oct 1st to dec 31 but most liky more then one and the music all year round

@@brodysinko7872 I think it represents finding something in your life that pulls you out of depression.
This shows how tired jack is of the same routine and praise. The pain in his voice is noticeable.

Jack...I know how you feel.
Daniel Johnson Sally?😂😂
Daniel Johnson sane just a different metaphor
Lolbit thefuntimefox *You’ve come back.*
Here are my lyrics for Sally if she married Jack:
“There are few who'd deny, at what we do, we are the best
For our talents are renowned far and wide!
When it comes to surprises in those moonlit nights,
We excel without ever even trying!~
With the slightest little effort of our ghostlike charms,
We have seen grown men give out a shriek!
With the wave of his hand, and a well-placed moan,
We have swept the very bravest off their feet!
“Yet year after year, it's the same routine…
And I grow so weary of the sight of those things…
And I, Sally, the Pumpkin Queen…
Have grown so tired of the same old thing…
“Oh, somewhere deep inside of my heart
There’s something tearing it apart…
There's something there, burned deep in my mind…
A jealousy that turns it unkind…
“He’s a master of fright, I’m a demon of light
And we’ll scare you right out of your pants!
To the all children who are orphans, I'm Miss Fortune
And we’re known throughout England and France!
“And since I am a doll, I can feel no pain at all,
To endure such different confrontations!
I’m the only woman to own him like I can!
With the fury of my burning frustrations!
“But why would he ever understand…
That his Pumpkin Queen with this broken grin…
Would tire of this abuse, if he only understood…
I’d make it all stop if I only could…
“To that tall man I do love so dear…
Why do you stare at these harlots here…?
This pain you’ve wrapped ‘round my heart like twine…
Causes the empty tears that I cry every night…”
It's a bit off with the syllables it goes pretty well. Now we need both Jack and Sally singing their versions together.
DAMN YOU FUCKING GOOOD MAN
dude did u actually watch the whole movie? she did marry him and have little skeleton babes
@Krystal Harwood my mom got a tattoo of my dad as jack my mom as sally and my little sisters as female skellys and me as baby jack skeleton

Yet year after year, it's the same routine
And I grow so weary of the sound of screams
And I, Jack, the Pumpkin King
Have grown so tired of the same old thing
Oh, somewhere deep inside of these bones
An emptiness began to grow
There's something out there, far from my home
A longing that I've never known
I'm a master of fright, and a demon of light
And I'll scare you right out of your pants
To a guy in Kentucky, I'm Mister Unlucky
And I'm known throughout England and France
And since I am dead, I can take off my head
To recite Shakespearean quotations
No animal nor man can scream like I can
With the fury of my recitations
But who here would ever understand
That the Pumpkin King with the skeleton grin
Would tire of his crown, if they only understood
He'd give it all up if he only could
Oh, there's an empty place in my bones
That calls out for something unknown
The fame and praise come year after year
Does nothing for these empty tears
