Hi, I'm British and the trick to our food is to put in lots of added flavour! I always use vegetable stock powder instead of salt in the cooking process, substitute black pepper with red hot cayenne pepper and use plenty of fresh herbs, like thyme or rosemary. Yorkshire is a wonderful place to enjoy these types of pubs, plus we have the Bronte parsonage! xx

So here in England UK..we have Cottage pie (minced beef & mashed potatoe) and we also have Shepherds Pie which is supposed to be Lamb and mashed potatoe...but most people still used minced beef..in Shepherds Pie anyway.. Yes a British pub is usually to go and have a pint / drink...but you can get pub food at the bar.. or you can go sit down at a table and have a meal.. Steak and Ale pie also is served in pubs.. that pie has a proper crust. I'm not a meat eater though myself. 😊

Hi Kat, If you prefer lamb to beef you can also make a traditional English Shepherd’s pie which is much the same as cottage pie apart from the beef. It is traditional pub food with a pint 🍺. It’s lovely to sit by an open fire in an old pub and have what I call cosy food. Sadly a lot of our old pubs are slowly disappearing. Love your videos and your merchandise ❤.
