Speaking to Climate Philanthropies: How to Access Climate Funding for Animal Advocacy

Join Sarah Lake (CEO of PlantWorks) and Meghan O’Brien Lowery (Partner at Greenbaum Foundation) at an interactive workshop on how to engage climate funders to secure support for animal activism to talk to the climate world. This session is poised for Executive Directors and Development Directors to engage in a discussion around narrative pitching to climate funders. We will workshop the creation of a movement wide shared narrative and agenda that focuses on our shared vision while allowing room for disparate view points. What research can we all agree upon and promote as a collective? The audience will leave with messaging cheat sheets, a list of organization examples that are currently “winning” the climate funding and top tips for talking to people in philanthropy about the animal/climate intersection.
