I’m basically FOMO-watching long hair styling videos right now (just took off 6” due to damage 😢), but I tried this on my shoulder-length hair and it actually worked! I only included the top 2/3 in the twist, used two smaller clips to secure it, then grabbed small sections from the bottom 1/3, twisted them, and pinned them individually to cover the clips. I still need more practice (and less frizzy ends), but this is so promising!
