- This is a breakdown of the handmade items I've sewn and sold for the entire year. There were a few surprises in store for me, expecially when compared to the quarterly breakdown I've been providing the past year.
Also incredibly surprising, was the amount of handmade stock I have actually sewin in one year.
My fabric labels and the style I use are from
wunderlabel.com.au/?affil=chr...
now that I have an affilliation with them, I may get a small commission on sales.

Congrats on a good year of handmade item sales! Your generosity in sharing your knowledge and how to make the items you sell is appreciated!
Thank you so much Christine 😀
Thank you! Well, $16,000 is nothing to sneeze at! Great job🎉
Absolutely not! Though I'd love to know where it went😁
Love ALL your videos. I do appreciate your quarterly updates as they show what is trending. Fantastic amount of sales. I was inspired by your videos to make 12 Christmas gifts for family and friends for very little cost. Being a pensioner there is very little money to go around. It was wonderful to see the suprised look on their faces as they opened their gifts . Thank you for sharing your knowledge and keep up the good work.
That's so lovely Cathy. Thanks for sharing!! 😀
I totally agree with Cathy. Thanks from
Cathy Griffin!!!
Thanks Cathy G😀
I love your breakdown videos, and what i really love is how much you emphasise that the cost does include your time. It is so important not to underestimate the value of our own time when we make things to sell.
The Red/Black polka-dot dress at the beginning of the video is stunning.
Thanks Maj. I find the longer I do this kind of work, the more I'm valuing my time😀
I so agree. Time is very important.
Hi Christine. Yes, please continue your breakdown videos. They are very informative and I am sure I not the only one who tries to guess the ones to make your top 10 list.
Haha, even I try to guess the outcome and hope that one day something will surprise us all and surpass those shopping bags 😀
@@ChristinesHomeAffairs I've made lots of shopping bags also, some sold at markets. But I mainly use them for wrapping gifts in so no paper is needed. They work great, and the extra gift factor. I am certain your bags will always be number one. And rightly so. Now you need the lines ones to take off also. For $20 that is a great price. People should really be grateful that you get given your fabrics. You are able to send the blessings on. ☺️
I love that you place the gifts inside the bags instead of wrapping them. I have so many more customers doing this each year. 😀
I would like for you to continue the series of your quarterly breakdowns. I think that they are great motivators and hope-givers. :)
Thanks Suzanne. Will do! 😀
@@ChristinesHomeAffairs You're welcome, Christine. :)
Well done on all your sales - no surprise the shopping bags were the #1 seller. Looking forward to your next sewing room update 🎨 as always, keep on crafting 😁🪡🧵
Thanks Lesley. Another room update will be coming just as soon as the electrician does his job. Of course I need to tidy it first too. I've just piled everything in there 😀
It is so generous of you to share your patterns/ideas with your internet viewers, and your results.
Thanks Stephanie 😃
It is very generous of you to provide such personal business and sales information Christine, thank you so very much for doing that.
You're very welcome Jess. I hope it's helpful to others 😀
You're living the well earned dream, its a joy to watch your videos
Thanks so much Mathew. I must admit, I do love my work life balance. I sew at home, I sew at work, and my only bosses, are my sewing machines😀
You work so hard Christine...you deserve every penny! Good job!
Thank you Georgy. I really enjoy my work 😀
Yes! Yes! Yes! Please keep doing these. I have to watch ALL your videos now!! And of course subscribe! I love sewing and I want to sell at some point because I want to pay off my mortgage. Thank you!
Yay! Thank you, and welcome!😀
Yes I do want you too continue thank you.
Thanks Pamela 😀
Thank you for sharing ❤ You are an inspiration. I’m saving to purchase a better sewing machine ( I purchased one at a yard sale for $25 and got duped) and would like to start making Poo pouches for my flea market booth, plus my Butterscotch needs a new one desperately. When I view your videos my heart races and the excitement is immense which tells me maybe I should learn to sew because maybe it’s my happy place that I’ve over looked.
Sewing is definitely my happy place. Hope you find a good machine soon BL 😀
Hi Christine, this is the first video I've come across on your channel, and gosh you are such a gem! I've been cracking my brains for products to sell and this was a treasure trove. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge. Subscribed, and looking forward to checking out your other videos
I'm so glad you enjoyed it. welcome!😀
Yes, please continue to let us know what sells the best!
Thanks LR. Will do 😃
What a fountain of information! Congrats on your sales and shop. Thank you so much for sharing and assisting others of us who would also like to give it a try, and so appreciate hearing how you are able to shorten the amount of time things take to make.
Thanks so much Jen 😀
I'm impressed! I think making $16,000/yr is wonderful! Some of your products I hadn't seen before! Yes, continue the series!
Thanks Sue😃
I just found your videos a couple of months ago and I love it! I’m mainly quilter, but enjoy making all kinds of bags, doing home decor and only occasionally a garment sewer. The way you present the projects is entertaining and very efficient with all the info provided.
Congrats on doing so well with your sales. I don’t usually sew to sell but did sell masks during Covid and raised over $2,000 for a community hospice here in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
Please keep sharing your knowledge and love of sewing ❣️❣️
Thanks so much for sharing Bonnie 😊
I’m never t interested in selling anything, but this video interests me for another reason. I like to make gifts for my loved ones. This video shows me that they might appreciate shopping bags most. I had not thought of poo bags. This gives me good ideas for useful gifts. Thanks!
You're very welcome Clara. Thank you 😀
That's a very good additional income. I love to sew, and my husband loves money. He wants me to sell the things I make. He doesn't really understand thst that also takes a pretty good size investment, and time to make enough items to sell to be worth it. I luckily live in a town where we can put up tables in certain areas and sell handmade items. It's a retired military community, and all the wives sit and sew, or crochet all day. Ita nice we can make money to keep our hobbies going. Thank you for some wonderful ideas.
Thanks Ursula. You certainly do need to have stock options, but even then customers always want something else😃
Love to have you continue your quarterly breakdowns! Also love your tutorials!
Yay! Thank you Dana 😀
Your transparency is so appreciated! You are appreciated so much. Thank you.

Thanks for that info - the first zipper pouch I ever made was one of your one piece bags. I live in a very small town and I'm thinking about making "stuff" for an Easter market we hold each year. Your video has given me some good ideas. Very grateful!
That's awesome. I hope the market is a great success for you 😀
@@ChristinesHomeAffairs me too. fingers crossed!
Yes I love your breakdown. I will be watching more of your videos
Thanks Janey. Hope you enjoy the channel😁
Love how Coco came in to congratulate you on your 2022 sales - what a cutie:) What you do sounds really enjoyable to me as I love to create and repurpose and make old stuff new again too. I'd have to add a section for selling plants in addition to sewing as I propagate so many houseplants. Was selling them on offerup here in US but I'm doing what I can to slow down and relax a bit now that I'm retired. Wishing you another great year!
Haha, Coco is very supportive, or would that be needy. I've done similar with plants as well Vikki. I used to pot up the strawberry runners, divide Clivea, and Orchids to sell in the shop. 😀
Yes continue, its really great info! Looking so forward to seeing your other channels!
Thank you! Will do!😀
Oh yes please continue. Love everything you do. Also waiting to see your updated video on how to do the Helping Hands an easier way. 🤗
Coming soon Charlene 😀

Thanks for giving us the prices for each product. It gives us a better idea of what we can ask for our products. Not many of the videos ive seen have been so open and honest about what we can expect to 'get for our stuff.
Happy to help BN 😀

I love your videos and I look forward to seeing your sales results videos as I also have a small sewing business and it inspires me to double down and work on the marketing side of things.
Thanks Sherie. Marketing is so important. I'm guilty of neglecting that side of my busines as well 😀
Yes please keep the videos coming I’ve learned a lot from you. I always seem to use a lot of the pricier things when I sew such as batting’s and stabilizers that get pricy thinking that people won’t want to pay for simple makings but seeing your ways of making things and what you charge and get for your products has really helped me to rethink the way I’m doing things. Thanks for all the info it helps me for sure.
That's so wonderful Susan. Thank you. I used to do the same, I loved buying new and nice things which were too costly to expect others to pay for. Now I love the hunt for something to rescue 😀
Thank you so much Christine
You're very welcome Jacqueline 😀

I enjoy each and every one of your videos. I find this so interesting. I can not imagine sewing all the items you have in just one year. And to me the total is fantastic! I would be thrilled to be able to achieve half as much as you. This year I really am going to get myself organized and see what I can accomplish. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and I can not wait to see what you do next!
Thank you so much! I couldn't believe what I had sew either. Kind of explains my wide backside 🤣
