Kind of makes me wonder if in the future militaries might start to consider indirect fire missions with drones being performed by non conventional vehicles for artillery as a good move? I imagine HE shells from a number of lower velocity guns and autocannons could be pretty effective directed as a form of automatic artillery.
@@Chernosjk pretty sure the reaper drone is used for regular recon, directing artillery from M109 and M777 systems as well as dropping its own weapons onto target, this is not used by things such as a Bradley commander to fire a 25mm autocannon 3 kilometers onto an enemy infantry squad hiding in some cover out of line of sight. this is where my point about non conventional artillery vehicles was from, such as in the video of using weapons that are meant for direct fire but using them to fire indirectly instead.
@dominuslogik484 russia last year sent T-55 to Ukraine to perform indirect fire, and there are some videos from the frontline where BMP-3 is shooting 100mm cannon into the sky. So, real military is using unconventional vehicles
No need. There are mobile mortars plus aome shells can be corrected from drones. This is only worth doing if you are not a modern and well financed army

this method already being used for a long while now, that's exactly the role of the reaper drone

Well just look at his minimap and u will figure it out i also dont it without drone with cig15cm or the m109(bigger maps)
i didnt used drone with those vehicles
Each map have their scale, you could measure it and estimate your shot. That's how I got a couple of blind shot even I can't see the enemy
