You know Red is trying to cook something mischievous when he brings Sunflora on his team
Unfortunately Leafeon was on the other team
Red's playing like he's on some Drayano romhack where Sunflora is frequently a powerful Grass/Fire type.
In Red's defense, swapping a grass type into Earthquake is normally a decent strategy. Unfortunately for him, that grass type was Sunflora.

"every good pokemon we have is paired with a water type" is incredibly accurate in soul links. i've been playing a ultra sun & moon soul link with a friend and almost every pair we have is either water or grass, why tf did gamefreak make so many damn water types

I still remember the fear I felt facing Red atop Mount Silver. Defeating his team was one of my greatest achievements.
