I found the fish (Boone Lake)

I found the fish while trolling on Boone Lake. I work my way up to Watauga River and catch a river smallmouth bass as well. Nothing like fishing for bass on a kayak.

I fish off the bluff city boardwalk about once a weekend and i sometimes see a kayak trolling with planar boards and im always wondering if you're around, Do you ever rrolling around there where Boone meets South Holston?

I'm having twice the luck on the south holston side in Bluff city for striper. Night time with artificial, can't take the heat right now during the daytime hrs. I caught 3 stripes over 20 lb one night right where Hodge Island begins but haven't had any luck since, so been spending all my time in Bluff city. You need to do a video there, troll from the ramp up to the water treatment plant in the cold water.

Enjoyable video. I’ve a week planned for Watauga Lake in a few weeks. I see Bummit’s close, I’ll be visiting the shop. Would you know if they handle leeches?

Unfortunately, they do not have leeches. They do have a great variety of baitfish available. It’s a cash only store so make sure you have cash.

I used too see you fishing from your boat a lot. Any reason you mostly kayak fish now?

The boat is currently not very reliable. There will be more boat adventures soon.

I don’t think it’s higher than normal. This is what they call full pool for the summertime recreation. They draw it back down in the winter.
