    Super-cool. Going to have to get me the 1022, for my SCX24. Will also have to get a few of the 1001 servos for my 1/28 Mini-Z type cars.

      The 1022 is a beast for sure! the 1001 will be a great servo for 1/28 cars, just remember which plug end they might need.

      I have adapters, if needed. The 1/28 servos from certain brands come with them, so I have at least a few. Right now, just waiting for the new Formula One kit from GL Racing to be delivered.

    I got my MLS1025 for my Ascent18, heads-up, it doesn't line up with the Injora axle housing, there's an upper link mount that needs to be swapped out for the stock plastic bit. The metal one from Injora is a millimeter or two too wide. You could probably dremmel it down too, but I'll just switch it out.

    • @TheShopMiniRC
      @TheShopMiniRC  3 дня назад

      Thanks for the heads up! interesting that Injora changed the axle housing...

    • @MTrefry2
      @MTrefry2 3 дня назад

      @@TheShopMiniRC it doesn't look any different, but the rear upper mount is removable, and their part is just slightly wider. Not noticable till I went to put the servo on.

      @@TheShopMiniRC update. Just looked at the stock front axle and it doesn't have a removable upper link. It's built in.... I'll get the Dremel out

      @ yeah, I think they don’t want people copying… not that hiding the mounts will stop someone. Lol.

    The problem with mountless servos is they dont work with some axles like meus iso kinetic.

    • @TheShopMiniRC
      @TheShopMiniRC  3 дня назад +1

      you can make it work on a meus isokinetic. It just takes some filing down on the meus diff cover. I have done it with another servo mount i wanted to use that was a stock spec mount. Maybe some day I will do a video showing how to do it with the torq MLS

      A dremel is a must when building custom rigs. I use my dremel on almost every build. Buy a cheap one from harbor freight had mine for 3 yrs with no problems

      That is a bummer. It's always tough when parts let you down. I have been running multiples of them in different rigs and have not had any issues.
      I am hoping they will sell a replacement gear kit for the 1022 class servos. (all the MLS are that 1022 internally).
      I would reach out to them for sure. They are good with customer service.

    I have an idea for a new video, unless you've already done one (please link if so). One covering the different plugs and where to get them. So, like, if we need to put a different end on, and the adaptera or how to create our own with parts. And what they are usually/most commonly used for and by who. Probably would need to be a 'Deep Dive' video.

      I haven’t made a video like that but I’ve been thinking about it. That would be awesome for everyone I agree. I just have to find the time.

    I'm confused about these servos and why they're minimally rated to 6v. Aren't the stock escs only outputting 4.5 or so volts?

    • @TheShopMiniRC
      @TheShopMiniRC  3 дня назад

      They work fine with a stock esc.

    • @Fyxxterzc
      @Fyxxterzc 2 дня назад +1

      @TheShopMiniRC are they slow though, since they aren't getting their min rated voltage?

    • @TheShopMiniRC
      @TheShopMiniRC  2 дня назад

      @ nope. They are still much faster than stock.
