this just proves we need a small mobility device thats cheap, cheerful and useful to counter the rise of oversized SUV land yachts that are infesting our roads, the C5 was all of that and didn't need a full license to boot shame it was 35 years before its time... there would be a real hunger for electric assisted small pedal cars for 1-2 people

@@gearknobchannel Mobility scooter, min 4mph max 8mph, you don't need a licence nor tax/test/mot, with a bigger shell of the Porsche body or any other shell to be fair, mobility scooters can go around 8-12 miles on 1 charge.

Fucking brilliant from start to finish..... New subscriber here :) Sir Clive Sinclair did have the right idea, all just was a bit too soon, I actually owned a £400 C5 electric car ! Back in 1986, cost £400 new back then :) I had a MK2 RS2000 also, 19 at the time, good times :)

I really dont understand how you did that without being arrested for driving an electric vehicle that does not have pedals on the public highway.

Something quite "Joe Lycett" about this. Loved it, you got a new sub. I know what it's like to get noticed, I ride a 1929 Matchless, it turns all heads, and to cap it, it's ULEZ free, CC free, TAX free and MOT free. Plus, I can insure it for 5 years for the price of that little Porsche. To be fair though, it it worth 10x more.
