Lyrics:
Hang from the cross
Die for our sins and save us
Months after the end
I never got my revenge
All along we had it all wrong
My sad song won't lie
And I'm sure we played the wrong chords
But hold on for a while
Empty the clip
Kneel down and close our eyelids
Try and mop up the mess
But you'll never get rid of it
All along we had it all wrong
My sad song won't lie
And I'm sure we played the wrong chords
But hold on for a while
All along we had it all wrong
My sad song won't lie
And I'm sure we played the wrong chords
But hold on for a while

This song is really amazing.
The sound, the voice, everthing.
Nothing is one of the best band I've heard lately
Best split to ever happen. Thank the Gods xD
One of Nothing's best songs.
And it landed on a split EP. 😂

I thought it was kneel down and close our lips lol
@@elgatoconmota1320all along we had it all wrong
One of my favourite songs of all time🤘👌
I usually hate fade outs, but this song really uses one effectively
I'm here every July 4th.
same
never heard a better song
Hardcore meets shoegazing
Deftones in a nutshell
It's impossible to express how tired I am of hearing about deftones
@@paniccat dude it doesnt even really sound like them either
@@rylandcook5301 not Rlly dude.
@@paniccat It's the harmonies and churning guitar rhythm. It's okay for music to be influenced by other music; it's been happening for a 1000+ years. If you wanna hear some completely original shit, there's noise. Much of it is unlistenable, but if someone has a boner for complete originality....
The best song for today
DAMN! this is some powerful stuff. Reminds me of deadsy.
Wow. That's a band not enough folks know of. Long live Nothing and Deadsy!🤙🤙🤙
...not Nirvana?
Lmao. How???? Hahaha
@@abon1364 This is shoegaze, not grunge.
massive guitars
You can't describe this with words.
Love this so much. Has a real nostalgic feeling to it

Change our national anthem to this
Hum anyone?
Yes. Definitely some Hum in there. I can hear a bit of Failure as well, especially at the 2:12 point.
fullmetalfunk none of those things are bad !
indieclock Not at all!

July 4th 2022 here
fuck independence day
sounds like In Utero..:)
no it doesn't.....
@@blisterpacman The main riff is super Nirvana sounding; reminds me of Scentless Apprentice/Milk It/Radio Friendly Unit Shifter.
@@sleepwalk8696 you obviously don't play music.
blisterpacman lmao
@@blisterpacman yo, actually guy’s band is super tight; listen to “craving” that shit straight fire
tight bassline. this deeper, grunge sound suits nothing.
Can someone link some lyrics or post?? Thanks in advance.

Sounds like Nothing.
after hearing many of Yip's prod. I can only feel that his influence on the production of many bands takes away from their melodies... ahem, "la dispute" now nothing, even a bit of tigers jaw... hopefully whirr stays on path like they got back to with sway .... :S
Don't really think a producer, especially one like Will Yip who's background is in the engineering side of production, would have much of an effect on how melodic a band is. Also, I'd argue that musically and vocally Rooms of the House is La Dispute's most melodic album to date.
Ethan Thomas I agree with you mate. Yip is fine.
well, the songs turned out anything beyond my expectations so I'm beyond stoked.
any lyrics available of this?
Buy the record ;)
RedDragon0719 lol, since I posted this comment, I did! Have it in black vinyl
RedDragon0719 Shut up.

Yall trying to attach any genre or label to ts, just listen to it man🤦♂️
Sound like flat ? :D
KROD
Pica
Into repetitive nasaly indy shoegaze? RFC got you covered
This song is not really a shoegaze song if you listen to it
+Nick Bailey It's a harder rock sound overall. I think the vocals and harmonies in the chorus definitely give it a shoegazey feel though, kind of a grunge/shoegaze hybrid. Swervedriver were classed as shoegaze but with a harder edge.
PrimeM92 I can agree with that, but I think Swervedriver definitely have/had more of a shoegaze sound than Nothing does. I would agree they have elements of shoegaze, especially on GoE, but this song is just super grunge revival to me, and I think the guitar tone alone makes a good case for that. This is definitely their LEAST shoegaze song.
I agree with you.
