As someone who is weirdly obsessive over fictional layouts (which can and often don't make a ton of sense) I was always bothered by how this set DIDN'T follow the layout of the house too much. But then it'd probably be twice the cost. That bathroom shouldn't be there, that's open space in the show, Homer and Marge's room and en suite takes up the left side of the house above what should be the den and TV rooms, Bart and Lisa's rooms tend to be interchangeable, but most often are on the backside of the house, over top of the kitchen, which is at the back of the house, and the little seen Rumpus room, which is opposite the garage. Indeed, the upstairs rooms extend over the garage area. Maggie's room is fully over the garage and the main bathroom is above the dining room. The actual layout of the Simpson's house reveals it to be quite a nice, large house. I'd live there.
Love the info! I always watched the show as a kid, but hadn't really pieced together a layout. Thought it was weird that this set has the front door entering the kitchen. lol
If it was accurate to the show like this, I'd buy this for 2x the price for sure, doesn't feel like the simpsons house more so a house from the simpsons
The only thing that really bothers me is the fact that it doesn't have the section ontop of the garage wich ruins the perfectly accurate look. The interior isn't that big of a deal honestly.
I also really dislike the inaccurate layout of the house. I can look past everything on the second floor (aside from the window placement in Homer and Marge's room), but the biggest deal breaker for me is the living toom. The in-show layout is so iconic, to have the stairs oddly placed there along with the room having no connection to the kitchen just throws me off completely. I understand that the designers did the best they could, but I just can't not be bothered by it.
I remember seeing this set a long time ago and wanting it so badly I love the Simpsons and something about this set is just so amazing to me the way everything is done hopefully they make new sets because I would definitely buy it this time
Congrats on getting your business up and running, its so cool seeing the growth. Also mad props on your production quality, great video, good lighting and exposure and great audio. Keep it up man.
Id rly love to see a remake of this set similar to the home alone house that came out a few years ago. I feel they could remake the set with a more accurate interior and with the section over the top of the garage
Definitely! I mentioned this in my Home Alone house review. That style of "doll house" layout would be able to accurately represent the rooms without splitting them up. Thanks for watching!
I like the old theme sets where they used pieces avaliable to achieve effects instead of just making custom pieces for that particular set which they seem to do more and more these days.
I just bought the Kwik Mart, I do not have this set yet. I am debating on it. I have heard from people that have both and they say they like the Kwik mart better. Great review I just subbed.
As someone who used to own BOTH Simpsons sets, not really. The house is really inaccurate. I can understand missing out rooms like the basement and the Rumpus room, but even the main rooms are in the completely wrong areas.
I really regret not buying this when it first came out, but back then I couldn't justify that massive price on a Lego set. Additionally, I always found that the interior looked a bit hollow, the bedrooms make me think of a prison, with the same colour walls as the exterior. I also don't like how everything splits up, like you said. Also, I think the uranium stick could also be used as the inanimate carbon rod. In rod we trust!
I considered it as well at time of release as a investment piece, as Lego nearly always appreciates in value when discontinued, especially licensed properties. But for me the box was too big to store in my house unopened for several years.
the set was controversial on release, how the figures looked (their eyes are the same) and a couple little details with the house. but it's an awesome set, and when the Simpsons minifigure sets came out, people made stop motion vids, using both versions of the figures.
Just picked it up; used 95% complete and at a great price! Looking forward to it. Thanks for the review!!!! Next set should be the Ghostbusters Firehouse!!!
If you buy this set be prepared to deal with a lot of brittle brown. I bought a used set in really nice condition. It was shipped to me partially dissasembled and one of the roof sections had shattered corners, with broken shard all over the shipping box (which was undamaged), and a couple of the front door frame bricks were broke. Taking apart the rest of the roof sections was a nightmare. Even being super careful I had a lot of the plates just crack in half. Chatted with Lego and they're replacing bad parts... Good for Lego!
In my opinion yes, since the rooms are not split. When you open the front doors, each room is together and makes sense. I have this on the schedule closer to the holidays, so I'll go into more there. Thanks for watching!
Oooof that floor layout and house itself is not accurate. I just bought the set and plan to modify it to complete accuracy which means extending the top floor over the garage
For Simpsons fans, these set is a must. If Lego decides to rerelease this set, they could take some inspiration from the modular buildings, because, for me, the open form is too wide and takes too much shelf space.
I was sort of interested when it came out, but the fact that 99% of people stopped watching the show 20 years ago sort of convinced me to pass on it LOL
For me, it was the doped-up faces of the characters. Why oh why? No regrets now that I have no room. EDIT: Kwik-E-Mart is probably the better out of the two.
I own this! Great set, but my only beef is that the roof doesn't sit very well on the house, and the front and back entrance doors to the house can't be closed if opened by mistake. Unless you don't mind prying the house apart. However, you risk breaking the house. I also have the Kwik-E-Mart. Easier build and the roof is flat. The sign was a bit of a pain to attach to the store and I broke the front, but I was able to repair it. Too bad they only did 2 sets. I would love Lego Barney's Bowlarama!
Ahahah i thought the exact same thing about their eyes, looks like the three of them have been puffing the devils lettuce. Also love the camera in homer and marges bedroom for some homemade videos if you catch my drift haha. Love the adult humor.
I liked it but close to home alone & ghostbusters firehouse which are the grails i want the most,it kinda looses a little.Worth mentioning i have the home alone and now i want like mad man the ghost busters firehouse!
The permanent split kitchen is a big downside in my opinion but I love the property of Ned Flanders signs. I also really like they included Ned in the set, probably so people who play with it can have Ned go and ask for his stuff back. I agree with the minifigs eyes they don't look great glad the Ned doesn't have it
I was completely gut wrenched when I payed so much for this set, but they forgot to package the stickers with it. Literally nobody would help me. That’s why I hold such a grudge against LEGO. There’s always that fear of “I paid $300 for this, what if they forgot something”. It takes a lot of the experience away. But seriously, how can the package team mess up that bad.
Have you tried requesting a new sheet of stickers on the Lego website? I recently bought the stranger things set pre owned but I'm so picky about other people putting the stickers on that I figured I'd give it a shot and hit up Lego. Even though that set has been retired they still sent me brand new sticker sheets in the mail less than a week later
Lego customer support is literally the nicest, most easiest to work with I've ever seen. I once got my stickers in a set but they were busted, you literally go online, put in a request, and type in the code on the back of your instruction booklet and they will never deny your request
The accuracy is terrible on this set.. I can understand downsizing because of cost constraints, but the layout of the bottom floor and the rooms upstairs are completely borked
If they ever release it so its cheaper and bigger I'd love to just use the house template for my own as its really a great dollhouse and I'm sure its very easy to make it more modular so if i ever could see this set again I'd totally get it to mod it to my own liking
Bob's Burgers I could see having a chance I would definitely buy a set of the restaurant/house! Don't think they'd ever make Rick and Morty, but I've seen some really cool MOC's. My favorite is the portal gun! rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-105857/thebrickxbrick/portal-gun/#parts
I hate this set because of one thing… ITS NOT the same layout of the Simpsons house. As soon as you go up the stairs, you can go left or right, there is meant to be a secret rumpus room behind the garage as well
Yeah, it can be tough to know what you'll get online. Our parts wall helps a lot with "100% complete" sets from online. :/ If you're ever around Oklahoma City, definitely stop in and check us out!
I have both Simpsons sets. I think the Kwik-E-Mart is a lot better. I wouldn’t pay too much for the house . It’s nice but like the show house, it’s not visually that interesting
Ouch! It sucks when that happens. We had a set that someone brought in that they bought as sealed but it had actually been opened and half the set was missing. :/
The house did not appeal to me. The Kwik-E-mart set I was all over the second it was announced. So much good stuff it that box. Dozens of items featured in the shows.
It's a must have for collectors, you can get it cheaper on Stock X but just know they open the factory seal to make sure everything is inside the box and new and then they re seal it, so if you're ok with that I recommend stock x. If the box is messed up at all stock x will contact you to see if you still want it depending on box condition as well.
This set/theme deserves a rerelease
I completely agree! Especially if they modularized the school or some other locations.
I think it will eventually, especially since they're a Disney property
no, this needs a remake. How it currently exists is just horrible to use.
Ninjago city / docks do - do does Ghostbusters firehouse
Agree. I got back into Lego after this set was retired and I really want it but refuse to pay scalper prices.
As someone who is weirdly obsessive over fictional layouts (which can and often don't make a ton of sense) I was always bothered by how this set DIDN'T follow the layout of the house too much. But then it'd probably be twice the cost.

Thanks! It's been fun learning new editing and shooting techniques with each video. :)
I have noticed a lot of building hacks in this build. Its quite a nice set! Love the content man!

Decent bloke keep up the good content
Thanks!
This came up on my recommended! Love your personality, expect a lot of new subs from the algorithm my man
Awesome! Thank you! 😁
I just bought the Kwik Mart, I do not have this set yet. I am debating on it. I have heard from people that have both and they say they like the Kwik mart better. Great review I just subbed.
Thanks!
This is the one that got me back into Lego 4 years ago and caused a massive financial decline of my personal situation 😅
As someone who used to own BOTH Simpsons sets, not really. The house is really inaccurate. I can understand missing out rooms like the basement and the Rumpus room, but even the main rooms are in the completely wrong areas.

Yes that TV room is completely unsettling lmao
I considered it as well at time of release as a investment piece, as Lego nearly always appreciates in value when discontinued, especially licensed properties. But for me the box was too big to store in my house unopened for several years.

380 Euro atm for this set here in Europe on Ebay.
That’s an amazing shirt ! Awesome review !
Thanks so much!
This is great content! Looking forward to more
About 2 years ago I got the Simpsons house and Kwik e mart for 250 TOTAL!
and......I'm jealous lol
Lol
Just picked it up; used 95% complete and at a great price! Looking forward to it. Thanks for the review!!!!
Next set should be the Ghostbusters Firehouse!!!
Congrats! I'm on the lookout for the firehouse. Will definitely be on the channel once I can get a complete one in. Thanks for the suggestion!
Underrated This Channel Needs More Subs
Thanks! 😁
Are we not asking why there is a camera on a tripod set up in the master bedroom, pointed at the bed...?
I thought that would be rude to ask, but it does seem like one of those hidden jokes for the grownups. Lol
3:28 - Why does Homer and Marge's bedroom have a camera pointed at the bed??? are they into some kinky stuff
I’ve been wanting this for 8 years I think I’m finally ready to buy it
Have fun finding/building! We still have it in the shop (as of now) if you're in the OKC area.
Is the home alone house better then?

Oooof that floor layout and house itself is not accurate. I just bought the set and plan to modify it to complete accuracy which means extending the top floor over the garage
Have fun! That sounds like a great mod, and would definitely help since yeah, it's not the most accurate.
Hahaha never noticed their facial expressions, that’s the face I make when I look at the price.
😂 very fair
I wish I could get this. Maybe they’ll release a revamped version.
Yeah, I’d love it but it seems so outside of their current sets that IDK if they would.
Yeah, it's nowhere near as popular as it used to be for sure.
For me, it was the doped-up faces of the characters. Why oh why? No regrets now that I have no room. EDIT: Kwik-E-Mart is probably the better out of the two.
underated channel cant wait to see more videos and mark my words ur gonna be big one day :D
Thanks!
Fun review.
✳✳✳Great to see thorough info about some older sets.
Hope to visit your shop one day.
Thanks, and I hope so too!
Saw the thumbnail and it was an immediate sub
Why does Bart, Homer, and Marge look extremely high? 🤣😂
Good question. 😏 lol
What a video to make me jealous
Oops, sorry. lol
@@bricksvilleokc no worry just sad bc it’s too much for me and I’m a big Simpsons fan almost watched every episode except for season 33 and 32
This is a must have for sure lego should release new the Simpsons sets.
I really wish they would! There are so many characters and references that it's an endless mine for potential sets.
Wheel barrow should’ve had a “load king” sticker on it. That would make it a real quality barrow.
Ahahah i thought the exact same thing about their eyes, looks like the three of them have been puffing the devils lettuce. Also love the camera in homer and marges bedroom for some homemade videos if you catch my drift haha. Love the adult humor.

family guy house when?
I wish they had made Family Guy sets. Or futurama for that matter. Rebrickable is great for these kinds of sets though that LEGO would never make. :)
Epic lego wall. U need to do a video how u organized ur legos
I’m working on branching out the videos soon. Stay tuned 😊
I have that same shirt. Got it for Father’s Day 2 years ago
Yeah, I love it!
if I bought this set I would get some green base plates and try and recreate their garden. I think it would put the whole thing to the next level
I remembered that old set
The permanent split kitchen is a big downside in my opinion but I love the property of Ned Flanders signs. I also really like they included Ned in the set, probably so people who play with it can have Ned go and ask for his stuff back. I agree with the minifigs eyes they don't look great glad the Ned doesn't have it
You seem like a pretty chill guy. Cheers!
Thanks! :)
This is neat! They need to make a Lego Family Guy house as well!
I would love a tour of your brick room
Once we get everything worked out nextdoor I definitely plan on diving into the parts process.
Amazing video
Thanks!
That beard gives me faith in humanity.
I need this set!
I was completely gut wrenched when I payed so much for this set, but they forgot to package the stickers with it. Literally nobody would help me. That’s why I hold such a grudge against LEGO. That sounds like a great suggestion for a LEGO Ideas set. A traditional dollhouse layout but minifig scale.
We need other adult animation lego sets like Bobs burgers, or Rick or Morty.
Very nice, i love Legos. I hope someday i can buy because now is super expensive here
So this is what the epic meal time guys doing now.
:P
It's a crime how fast this theme was discontinued
Hello I've just discovered your channel! I love the set and love your beard!!😄
Thanks! :D
I thought the Simpsons line was discontinued because of backlash not cause of sales. Which is sad either way
It would be really interesting to know. I wish they'd make more for sure.
3:03 what’s with the camera
Beautiful set.
I think so too!
Why's there a camera pointing toward Marge and Homer's bed? Are they starting an OnlyFans?
It seems like they've made an episode about almost everything else. lol
Nice Beard
Thanks! Comments like these help it grow. lol
Got an offer for 300 dollars used for this should I take it
I can't give advice like that, but that's about average for a used set.
It is freaking sweet though
I hate how they call it playing inside, or the “play factor” it kills me, I’m an adult who likes building legos but man your killin me
I build than I display, I no play
Respect yourself brother, say “that affects how you display it” not play your killin me
Just Awesome
I have literaly gone there 5 times and I have never seen this set
It’s above my desk. Too big for the case. The Kwik E Mart found a new home, but this one is still in the store.
The Kwik-E mart is so much better. Glad I have that set.
Great video! But as for Lego, my God the layout is nowhere near accurate 😭😭
Yeah, now that I've looked back you're completely right.
It’s a must! No brainer
I hate this set because of one thing… ITS NOT the same layout of the Simpsons house. As soon as you go up the stairs, you can go left or right, there is meant to be a secret rumpus room behind the garage as well
I wished I bought it
8:58 "it's an inanimate carbon rod!"
I just started with Legos and been wanting this house so bad but don’t want to order it online
Yeah, it can be tough to know what you'll get online. Our parts wall helps a lot with "100% complete" sets from online. :/ If you're ever around Oklahoma City, definitely stop in and check us out!
Great video. This set always shows its age to me, the building and color looks so basic compared to even early Modulars
I totally agree!
7:36 woah bro that thing is way to small to move in😂😂😂
I have both Simpsons sets. I think the Kwik-E-Mart is a lot better. I wouldn’t pay too much for the house . It’s nice but like the show house, it’s not visually that interesting
i wish it has a tree house. buy this house or quik e mart first?
they really had you put the toilet paper backwards! 🤣
💩
Have it but got it on offer up got jipped on pieces
Ouch! It sucks when that happens. We had a set that someone brought in that they bought as sealed but it had actually been opened and half the set was missing. :/
Wish wasn't so pricey on after market
I don't like the minifigs, the moulded heads creep me out. Otherwise I'd buy the entire theme.
I think they’ll do this set again when show goes off the air. However they’ll never make another Kwik E Mart, because of Apu.
Yeah, after that documentary it definitely sealed the deal.
@@bricksvilleokc You gotta love the douche from Harold & Kumar talking about stereotypes…
The house did not appeal to me. The Kwik-E-mart set I was all over the second it was announced. So much good stuff it that box. Dozens of items featured in the shows.
Yeah, Every time I look at the Kwik-E-Mart I see some other reference I missed the first 50 times lol.
I always hated how bored and tired the family looks in this set, doesn't bring much joy to playing with the house lol
what they recording in the bedroom 🤨
I just paid 570 for a new one in a pristine box.
Bro the camera by the bed
The layout is completely wrong! Wild!
It's a must have for collectors, you can get it cheaper on Stock X but just know they open the factory seal to make sure everything is inside the box and new and then they re seal it, so if you're ok with that I recommend stock x. If the box is messed up at all stock x will contact you to see if you still want it depending on box condition as well.
his beard has a color match of the set....
I will now have to use this exclusively to describe my beard! 😂
No Lisa saxophone? No fridge? Wtf?
At least the saxaphone came with the CMF Lisa. Not much excuse for the fridge.
How about the Lego Home Alone set
Love it! I just added it to my video calendar for after Thanksgiving.
Some how I got this set for £8 recently
Build moc simpsons
Love the idea!
Can I have that
