The roof having the open spaces is completely accurate to the Cantina in the film, Lego actually nailed it on that.
I think it looks great, and it is accurate to the real set they filmed in, but as a LEGO set, having an opening like that leaves so much room for dust build up which is a much bigger problem.

Kai Burnett use putty and take plastic wrap and stick it to the roof/rafters underneath. It’ll look like it’s still open and you could see under it

This should be the standard for master builder series sets. Honestly would be awesome to get the Endor bunker, geonosis arena, a better Hoth, maz castle, crait. So many scenes we could get
The jedi temple, Kamino, a bigger Scariff, Mos Espa, Naboo, Otoh Gunga, Coruscant, Mustafar, Exegol, Yavin, Starkiller base, Kessel, Kashyyyk, Mandalore, ...
Kleenex,Cif,Nutella,Domestos..so many..
I personally would love a geonosis duel and arena

The arubesh on the crate says "cargo" and the sign over the door says "cantina"
Fun Cantina facts:
The official name of the Cantina is, Chalmun’s Cantina.Chalmun was a Wookiee who owned the bar.
Wuhur’s parents were murdered by B1 Battle Droids,that’s why he doesn’t let them in.
The Cantina was open 24/7 and had another server who worked at night.
Figrin Dan and the Modal Nodes were only at the bar so they could make some money and get of Tattoine. Their first gig was at Jabba’s palace,but they were set free after revealing to Jabba that Greedo was scamming him. These facts are all canon and taken from the book,A Certain Point of view,it’s really good you should check it out.

Lego should make a set like this for every episode, or do a battle series. Make a huge battle set for each main battle such as hoth,endor, jakku, and a lot of other major ones

This is the first lego star wars set I've seen since I was a kid that actually makes me want to open my wallet. What an excellent job they did. The mileage I could've gotten out of this set as a kid would've been nuts. I hope for more sets like this in the future. A more imperial orientated set would get me for sure

I just like the fact that this thing is minifigure scale, or at least appears to be. I never liked when iconic locations/ships get scaled too small.
For Your next MOC, You should make full Mos Eisley. I know it isn't battle scene, but I think it would be amazing moc, including Cantina

I believe deep down in my heart that every Lego version of Han needs to use the revolver piece instead of the star wars style blaster pistol thanks to the lego star wars games

I can't say that this is the coolest thing I've ever seen because your entire channel is full of the coolest things I've ever seen. That Siege of Mandalore thing is just out of this world incredible.

Why would Obi's hut fit into a cantina? The two locations are miles away from each other in the movie. It doesn't make sense. Who even thought that? xd lol

Imagine the next MBS is Jabbas Palace and you get a full Rancor pit, Palace and Sail Barge with the Max Reebo band, some more aliens, Boba Fett and also a Sarlacc... to top it all off, Lego should release a 40$ Lars Homestead and a 30$ Tusken Raider camp.... imagine the combinations.

If you want to keep the dust off, you can always collapse it down just to fit in the box and use the bags to store the figures and any small bits and pieces in. Then when want to look at again, you will be able reassemble it in just a few minutes. I do this all the time with my modular buildings and the Christmas sets every year.

Fun fact, that "Trandoshan" is actually a Saurin but they are very similar species and the same head mold that is used for Bossk's minifigure is used for Hrchek Kal Fas's, just in different colors.
This is the best UCS set for the money in my opinion. As a 3.75” vintage collection collector I would lose my mind if they made a complete cantina building set for action figure scale. You Lego guys get pretty lucky sometimes.

This is one of the best Star Wars sets and sets in general of all time
I have this set and it’s one of my absolute favorites. Even over my UCS A wing, falcon, and gunship
I can see that people have translated the door and crate, but there is also a poster with R2-D2 and C3P0 with writing that translates to "Wanted".
I just finished building it and thought that its a very cool set!
The Aurebesh on the Imperial Cargo Crate reads "CARGO" and above the entrance door, it does in fact read "CANTINA", David!:)
This set is in the top 3 of my bucket list.
Also cool is that it not only works for episode 4 but also makes its apperance in the mandalorian.
You know what would be nice for Jedi/Sith minifigs? A piece that slides in between the legs and torso that has a clamp on the back hip that you can attach the lightsaber handle to. Be useful for minifig pistols too

This set is great love the cantina minifigures
The plate over the entrance says "Cantina" in Aurebesh, which is the name of the Star Wars font. A funny detail, in the entrance area is a small sticker with an image of R2-D2 and C-3PO with a "Wanted" writing, also in Aurebesh. It makes sense, since they are the droids the EMpire is looking for.
Have only recently started again with Lego (2021) recently finished the Technic heavy tow (Rotator) and as this set is getting hard to get I grabbed one for $100 AUD off retail. Looks like a great kit, may think about one of the light kits but will see how I go with the build. Great review, cheers. 🇦🇺
Man you need to do something about how you showcase mini figures, feels like I'm looking at them during an earthquake.
I would recommend reading From a Certain Point of View. It’s a collection of side stories that roughly follow ANH, telling stories of the side characters. There’s more than a few about the bar patrons.

I kinda wish your reviews were a little more in-depth and detailed! But BOY IS THAT AN AWESOME SET!!!!! Especially those minifigs😍 I personally feel they are the highlight of the set because if you already have the 2014 Cantina, the only thing you really need are the extra minifigs, not the extra tan pieces😂 But that's just my opinion!
I really hope at some point we get a Black Spire Outpost set similar to this.
I was fortunate enough to get my hands on this set one month before it completely retired
in 2024 even though I don’t regret buying it and am still very excited to see what it’s like
since I ordered it so late and just happened to live in 🇨🇦 I ended up having to pay 565$💵
for it’ but thankfully I didn’t miss out on what appears is going to be a great set to add to my collection’

This set is close to the scale of 04’ battlefront. It would be cool to see the whole Mos Eisley map using this set
i really see that little shop as being a cheaper alternative to that one in force awakens all you would have to do is get the minifig on ebay or something like that

17:45 yes I read Aurebesh it's not that hard it literally says "Cantina" lol you guessed it, David! Also, you should learn aurebesh, it's easy to remember and super useful, every aurebesh text you have ever seen in star wars clone wars was actually saying something regarding the scene, and in the Mandalore episodes in particular, when Ahsoka is teaching them meddling students, all the text behind her has awesome star wars school stuff that really helps with the world-building.
Haven't had lego in ages. I got the blacksmith during covid. I'm now trying to pick between this and Rivendell as my only other pickups for a few years.

I wish that for this set, they would have brought back the sand colored base plates, I make stop motions and I want to get this to use as one of the sets in the series, but that means I would have to get a bunch of smaller sand colored plates instead of just getting a couple sand colored base plates
Just some fun facts (hopefully): Turns out Hrchek Kal Fas is not a Trandoshan (even though he uses the same head mold), he is in fact a Saurin (If you type his name into google or any search engine, you should get the wookiepedia page come up), Kabe is a Chadra-Fan and Kardue’Sai’Malloc (aka Labria) is a Devaronian (whose species is also seen in the Mandalorian episode 6 and in the game Star Wars the Old Republic (one of the bounty hunters companions))
I got this on my birthday while I already ordered one so I built both and opened them up and modified it so birthday sides fit together and it looks so big
I would have 100% bought this if it werent for the previous Mos Eisley set, be a bit silly to double up when even that smaller set was still fantastic
