Whether you still use this radio or not, you should always use time alignment if given the opportunity. I have this radio and the time alignment that is built in works very well. If you program it right(quite easy), you wont have an instance where you aren't sure if it worked or not; it is a noticeable difference. I was quite surprised how much it changed the sound in my little car. Figured that it mostly worked for something larger, like an S.U.V.
My Erisin Android HU has built-in subwoofer gain control. If I set it to 0, I have to set my Alpine amp (for my subwoofer) gain high to get the desired bass and volume. I set at 75% subwoofer gain setting on my Erisin HU and Alpine amp gain around 10-11 o'clock position, just perfect for my listening volume preference (small hatchback car).
I use sub level at +6 to get 5v preout to the amp. Less noise in your system with higher preout voltage. Other than that all my settings are pretty much flat.
@@JacobViral2 if you dont believe me you can try it yourself. Get a multimeter and set it to ACV. Then play a 40 or 50 hz tone (i use -5 because i listen to rebassed/decaf songs) you can use 0 db to guarantee you'll never clip but if you only listen to radio songs or iTunes/pandora songs you could use a -15 to a -10 db tone. Then get the R or L RCA cable from your amp and put the negative lead on the outer shield of the rca and put the positive on the inner nipple of the rca cable. (You use pos n neg to test only 1 of the RCA from your amp. During this time your sub will not be playing due to you have an rca disconnected. (Also have to have your volume knob at 62 to get the full 5v) this is how ALOT of radios are. Most people don't get the full potential preout voltage because they don't put the sub level up but alot of radios use the sub level to adjust the voltage the preouts deliver to the amp.
@@californiajack1244 This is how my kenwood is as well i have to have sub out all the way up. With my sub output at 0 i have to have my gain almost up all the way just to get my sub to move a little bit which obviously isn't right. This might also be different with different head units of course
@@omglolwot bro all kenwood stereos got a enhanced bass output and then you turn it up to +6 lol… your problem could be not enough wattage from the amp or your rca’s are some cheap jump rope ones or you probably wired your subwoofer to 8 or 16 ohms.

This head unit has class D Amplifier?At 2.53 min. the EQ is not flat.Above 500 hz there is a step upwards.For my focal speakers that are bright sounding,i will make a step downwards....mids and highs.
So I turn everything up but my subwoofer preout only at .7v my sub barely moves. Beand new exelon 705 kenwood and jp23 amp at 4ohm=700 watts. Need help
I got my LPF at 50hz on my pioneer. I don’t like the sound of anything above 45ish anyway. & I only play 30-40hz music. Keep my HPF front / rear at 125hz so I get zero bass on my doors. Like my doors screaming and my 12’s slapping…lol. Great video. Cheers from, Ohio..
@@JacobViral2 125hz hpf is not zero bass. You must have hpf jacked up on amplifiers because 125hz certainly allows bass through unless your doors or enclosures arent sealed up much
I have my bass on my eq turned all the way off not just flat.. I've always heard to do that so then it's less likely to distort and also I've heard that it's best to just have the amp do all the work..

If you can seal it off from the trunk have port and sub forward. If you have it trunk space only then sub up or back and port sideways is what I would do.
I always turn my subwoofer level all the way up. I have a jvc so there is no bass at 0 level and a hell of a lot of bass on 8. Clear as F I did a video on this.
I always do this, i even experimented with having both the sub level and SLA all the way up on my pioneer deck and noticed a huge difference. SLA probably helped me with my system due to the fact that i use my iphone thru the usb input.
See i love my mids an highs to be so loud thay make you flinch so i set just zero everything then go by what sounds best and leave a the boost stuff off
Love your content, but I believe 1 octave is either a halfing or doubling of the frequency. 1 octave below 80hz is 40hz. One octave above 80hz is 160hz. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong
@@JacobViral2 I was just pointing that out, for some reason it stuck out at me when you said it. Like you I am still learning, so maybe you just got mixed up. However if you wanted a half octave then either multiply by 0.75 to get one half octave lower or multiply by 1 5 to get one half octave higher. Awesome to get a response though!
I could swear every 80 prs has a different looking interface. 3 probably but, Mine looks completely different than this. I'm curious if you have the chassis switch active for internal x-over? My PRS controls x-over to all amps., but my interface is WAY different than yours. Just curious. Thanks for the vids!
I put mine in network mode (via switch) but it still not showing network 1,2 etc.. it is still showing the same front HPF1 (the ones we see in std mode). Can anyone advice what can be the issue??
If you keep sub level at 0 your preout voltage is only 2.5. You can use +3 sla on USB for higher voltage undistorted. But I use +6 sub to get 5v preout. Don't even have to turn my gain knob at all on my amp
@@rubenavila3881 I don't use sla, I was referring to a video on RUclips from these guys who tested the preout of 80prs. I personally don't use sla. I do use +6 sub level to get 5v so I don't even have to turn my amplifier gain up at all.
@@JacobViral2 I just recieved my oscope today and actually using SLA 3 gives you 4v at -7.5 db and 5v at -5 db and that is clean voltage at volume 62. I decided to do that because sub level +6 clipped at 62 for me. So instead of that I just use SLA at 3 with sub level at 0.

I have a car stereo that I acquired a few years ago, it is the DEH-P9400BH model, which has a bluetooth problem, a message appears that says ERROR 10, I have already done everything that is mentioned in the manual according to the It fails, I try to update the fireware and the option does not appear, the autostereo does have the bluetooth function, I can activate and deactivate it, but no device detects the autostereo. The bluetooth version does not appear in the hidden menu, I completely removed the power from the car stereo and the problem continues. The only thing I couldn't do is reset or restart the car stereo to its factory settings, since it doesn't have a reset button. I hope you can help me, I'm waiting for good news, greetings.

What level of volume should I put on my mobile to have good quality sound ? Should I put it on max volume of keep it slightly down ? My BT volume start from 0-15 .
I use the subwoofer control and bass is almost always at -6. I tune my mids and tweets without the amps on and adjust the subwoofer output with the head unit control.
@@Luminous.Dynamics not my system. Unless you like over bass distorted midrange and highs. It all changes today anyhow because I installed Pioneer DEH-S6220BS in the lot. Front rear and subwoofer rca output so that signal processor I was looking at will pair up nice with two more amps. We'll see how it goes and we can talk about it later.
@@MadDragon75 Uhh......all you had to do was set the HPF for mids and highs higher, not cut bass down from stereo cause it will cut sub bass too that way. Makes no sense For sub, you still dont need to set bass levels in the negatives. At 0, then just use rca bass knob
@@Luminous.Dynamics yes, but I get the same results. The way it was hooked up there was only one RCA output split into two for the two amps. The Mids in the doors and the tweeters in the sales in front are powered off of head unit amp. So are the rear deck and supertweets in the C pillars. Adjusting the bass in the EQ didn't affect my subwoofers in a positive aspect.. only my mids and highs. This head unit is the upgrades upgrade to my 4 year old DEH unit and has a decent immage processing upgrades including the width options with twice the bandwidth spreading and more equilizer bands as well.

@@JacobViral2 no does go into.protect at high volume. I'm thinking the ground wasn't in the connector tight I re-did last night and it worked fine last nite.
Stereo means left and right channels. Mono means one channel. All music has a left and right sound to it. Mono means your missing a ton of sound. If your only running one channel to your subs then that's OK for Mono. But for people's with 2 subs in separate chambers in the box, I would really recommend using stereo with red and white rca inputs used

I would think you need to set your amp at 1 ohm and not 4 for most power if you have the electrical to support.

For me it depends on your setup if you boost must be +2 or +3 on crossover

Sometimes older systems don't work with newer technology devices, maybe try wire connection or AUX or just upgrade needed.

It’s 5volts clean yep and usually cleaner signal for the 4-5c precuts seems but 2v can do the trick as well I’m sure no difference.
