    As a big Depeche fan, instant buy for me.
    Depeche Mode used a Wave 2 mainly in the studio for the second album (‘A Broken Frame’, 1982) and onwards for a couple of years. Its unique and distinctive sounds are unmistakable on that record. The single ‘See You’ features the very recognisable choir sound, plus the bell riff and other parts, while that release’s B-side ‘Now This Is Fun’ also has Wave’s hallmark stamped all over it.

    • @GeorgeLocke
      @GeorgeLocke Месяц назад

      @SantiagoGT15 Walmart isn't a noble institution because they are able to sell their products for less. Remaking existing products reduces labor costs by relying on other companies to do their R&D, and rebuilding existing products means you have a much better idea of the demand, which reduces the risk of investing in a "new" product.
      All of this is sound business strategy, and while we consumers are not hurt by lower prices per se, companies relying on economies of scale like Walmart or Amazon have well known externalities, ie costs paid not by the company or its owners but by its workforce and the public at large. An example of this kind of externality would be the quality of life among poorly treated workers.
      All of this is, again, business as usual. Behringer isn't worse than inMusic because they reduce the price point of their products, but neither does selling a cheaper product make them a boon to society. It's just business doing normal business stuff: making as much money as possible for the investor class.

    • @leftmono1016
      @leftmono1016 Месяц назад +4

      @@GeorgeLocke- their competition can’t be arsed to revisit their old designs in a lot of cases.
      Behringer give people what they want at prices that could easily be 20 or even 50% higher and still sell a lot of units. TD3-MO is £125 ffs, that’s stunning value for money.
      So any naively moral issue is neutralised.

    A very cunning choice of demonstration host here, Behringer. This man is going to be the main topic of conversation in all the B chat groups for the next decade. OTT, yes. Entertaining? In reasonable doses. Good at his job in the sense that he generates interest for the product? Absolutely. I'd much sooner watch this than a lot of vague teaser ads.

    Wait a moment, I had a wave 2.2 mid 80's and know the synth very well.
    If you have a step recorder sequencer (the same in all other Behringer) than this is not an original Wave.
    With PPG Wave you had a realtime sequencer with count in click and you can quantize later on like a midi file.
    Soundwise: Close to the Original.
