Great reaction guys! The Big Push are incredible, four superbly talented musicians, three of whom are also great vocalists too. Whether you are looking a their original music such as this or their cover medleys you can't go wrong. I Shot the Sherif/Road to Zion/Hip Hop, War Pigs/Paranoid - were both from the same session as this. Add in Wade in the Water/Nina Simone/Trouble so Hard, An Englishman in New York and Bongo Bong and you have a good idea of what these guys are capable of doing. The rabbit hole that is Ren's music isn't a rabbit hole so much as a complete warren! 😁 (Edited for a typo)

I happened to watch an interview with the bass player in this vid (Gorran) and he said the council in Brighton don't make buskers have to apply for permits- they actively encourage musicians which I thought was very cool 😊 hope its still that way! I'm from Manchester and really want to visit Brighton just to experience these vibes!
Come summer, in all European big cities you can find buskers, not just UK. solo acts, duos, bands, you name it. Any type of music, including classical, so... if you are up for trying that out, why not?

I was lucky enough to be there that day, the atmosphere was insane..to answer your question about building a crowd that big, around the Brighton area it is more common. But, this is definitely more extreme than average 😅 it was just after covid restrictions were eased, so people were very much eager to party lol also, The Big Push have quite the following and they would sometimes announce on their socials when they were planning to busk and where 👌

I'm from a small Town in Derbyshire England and some times in Summer we have busking on Every Corner. So in the bigger cities across Britain it must be banging.
I spent most of my teens and 20s having fun and hanging out in Brighton.
Since my daughter moved there more than a decade ago I've been going back to visit and love that there seems to be a busker on every street corner and along the seafront and Ren - solo or with his various collaborations and bands - has always been one to look out for.
Lots of great musicians in that city though, spoilt for choice sometimes!

Ren is awesome as are the Big Push. You should check out their track Sweet Little Lady, the acoustic live version is brilliant. I know you guys like a bit of reggae so you won't go wrong with The Big Push doing I Shot the Sheriff/Road to Zion/Hip Hop.
As for Ren's solo stuff his retake on Bittersweet Symphony will be right up your street.

Great reaction. How have you guys not leaned into his songs with Chinchilla. Also do her solo stuff. Chinchilla live version of Fingers! Has to be live version. Is as much of a masterpiece that hi Ren was. Those 2 are unicorns. Truly mysterious creatures that we all should celebrate. Both of them!! Everyone here in the states needs to know her name.

I live in Scotland , my cousin, a US Renn Fair performer, realised she knew half a dozen people in the U.K. and Europe so created a busking tour in 2019. came from the US and earned her airfare and covered her bills busking across the U.K. and Europe, staying with us each for a week or so at a time.
I believe Ren and Romain explained that it began with Ren busking. REN’s girlfriend moved out so he took in Romain as a renter in his flat. The 2 of them busked together. So many people on the street kept asking for their band and they would say they don’t have a band, it’s just them. But since so many people would say they, they went ahead and formed a band.
You should react to their War Pigs/Paranoid/Crazy Train/Killing in the Name of cover, it’s amazing

You mentioned you liked the diversity. From Hi Ren, The Trilogy & this you are getting an idea but there's a ways to go!
Have a look at The Hunger, What You Want, or either of the rap retakes for Bittersweet Symphony (from The Verve original) or Losing It (original by Fisher) to see yet more sides of Ren. He's has plenty more video's that are just as good but I'm pointing to these ones as they're so different to what you've seen already ...
... and after those there are other places to go (Chalk Outlines or Diazepam for instance ... both a bit closer to what you've already caught but still different again)
Been watching his stuff since December and the variety & consistant high standard ... honestly it's getting a bit ridiculous but hugely rewarding & fun.
