The fading in and out thing he's doing is by using a technique called palm muting. He's resting his strumming hand against the strings near the saddle, which partially mutes the notes, then he lifts his hand a bit, letting the sound grow.
Is that why he's wearing a glove on only that hand?

Ramon was playing an electric guitar - but it is hollow bodied with sound holes so is known as a semi-acoustic (It is an Epiphone Sheraton II model). The Big Push amicably parted ways in September 2022, after 5 years together. The main reason was for Ren to go to Canada for his medical treatment. Glenn, the drummer, went to Indonesia (I think), Gorran went travelling in Europe and Romain stayed in UK pursuing his solo career. Ren would love to get back together with them some time if they would like to too

AND Ren and Romain have that connection like Ren and Chinchilla…when they lock eyes you know they reading each other’s mind! BLOOD HARMONY! I just got Romain’s A Wonderful Thrill. Not surprisingly, it’s really good. Ren released Sick Boi as a HipHop/ Rap influenced album because he loves the Genre and it felt “ out of his comfort zone “ ( my ass! When Ren is in the house it’s genre fluid 💯
Ren and Romaine are both playing electric guitars. Gorran was playing the electric bass guitar. Bass guitars have less strings. Yes, they split up because Ren was having to move to Canada. He has stayed way longer than he'd anticipated. It's been a full year, and he just said he has to stay an additional 4 months of 2024.

All of these are electric although Romains is a semi acoustic. Ren is playing a Fender Telecaster (my favourite) Romain and Epiphone Sheraton and Gorrans is a Fender bass. A standard bass has 4 strings although you can get ones with 5 or 6.

(PS - too funny with your cat - mine wakes me in the morning by banging on the blinds...not so much that they fall apart but just enough so that he knows I can't roll over and go back to sleep 🙂).
One of mine does the blinds. Right behind my head. 😂 Other morning I looked and saw 2 puncture holes in one of the blinds. No idea when that happened! 😂💜

What blinds?" 🤣💜 Also love that screen name - are you by any chance a Terry Pratchett fan? He's got a character named Nanny Og in his books and I definitely would not be surprised to find people who like Ren also like Pratchett - both such absolutely amazing and creative people!
