Chickens get a Swing in their Coop

- Hubby installed a Swing in our Chicken Coop for them to play on. Gives them something to do and they seem to love it as they each figure out what to do. We just used a natural tree branch, chain, screws and eye hooks.
Looks great in the coop and adds to the entertainment!!! Stay tuned as we add more fun in the coop coming soon...

For some reason Chickens always look like there is only one thought crossing their minds over and over again: "What's this?"
They run around looking at, grass, flowers, other chickens and are like "What's this? What's this? What's this?" It's hilarious.

I just got 6 chickens from a rescue center, they are ex battery hens which means they've spent their life cooped up in a cage, and when they saw the outside world, they LOVED it, they now have a big run and plenty of activities to do, I love these creatures, already thinking of getting more...
My favorite part is when the rooster attacks him when he goes in! I also laughed when he reaches down to pet him! "Hey!" "C'mon!" "What did I ever do to you?"😂😂😂😂😂😂

I love your coop and chickens. It was touching watching this. I gave mine away a year ago. I have really missed them this year. Went into Atwood’s and almost got me some. They use to come running when I went out. I free ranged them during the day and at dusk they went into the coop and sit them in. They were relaxing and good therapy for me.

U think like me--I have 2 make things attractive 2 the eye w/lots of color & natural splendor. There's nothing better than living around animals & a garden. 2 many people are soooo stressed out from city life even though I 2 live in the city my back yard is my haven. Now I have added a lil chicken & this videos is going 2 help me make my life even more peaceful.

I personally LOVE my chicken, a white leghorn hen named Fallen. I loved Fallen, and for the longest time, we were the best of friends. On hot days I would give her juicy watermelons and ice water. On chilly, snowing winter flurries i would bring her in and we would snuggle up together by the fire. Up until the day she died, we loved eachother dearly!

Very lucky chickens. What a great habitat they have and to add a swing is really thoughtful. I think a big old dead branch just leaned up against the side would also make a good roosting place. They love to roost off ground and in tree branches. Well done.
Our chickens love swings, too! My hubby made some other things for them to play with when he saw how much they enjoyed the swing. He hung a full length mirror on the hen house sidewise, nailed a kids xylophone to the same place. He also hung some musical balls (for dogs) that make cute little bell sounds when moved from the top middle of their pen and another one that holds cabbage. It's nice to see other chicken parents doing the same sorts of wonderful things for this often abused bird! (Ours are raised for the eggs, not for food. I get too attached to my "ladies.")
