When I say people SLEEP on this channel, I've been researching for months and low and behold I've been skipping this vide for some odd reason, sorry, but it's been the one all along....THANKS
Amazing! Ive been planning for months for my baby boys birthday but I couldn't find a decent size cut out that wasn't like 100$ this literally SAVED ME!!
Wow, the second time watching this, and Man, I’m hooked. I will be using this site and making these. Thank you for the free information that others want you to pay $ 97.00 to give you the same information.
This is amazing information!! Thank you so much for always sharing your experiences and knowledge. What is the material you use to put the vinyl on? Also what cutters?.. thank you!!!
Your welcome, thanks for watching. I used chloroplast plastic. It is the same thing people use for yard signs. They sell big sheets at Home Depot for cheap. Also some people use pink foam board from Home Depot. But I prefer the plastic and cut it with a utility knife. Good luck!
Thank you for always giving us value ! I ordered and cannot wait to get it onto foam or something the ready to set up this month :) appreciate you doing these videos !!
Hi, thanks for watching. You can get the foam board from Home Depot. Most people use the pink one and cut it with a box cutter or Hot Foam Cutter. They sell the foam cutter at most craft stores such as Michaels and on Amazon. Sure give me some time and hopefully I can do a full video next month. Thank you!
Hi, thank you very much. And yes a box cutter does the best job for me. And leaving a 1/2 inch or so outline around the print out makes it so much easier. Whenever I try to cut right at the line and be super specific, I mess it up and looks off. So I just leave a small gap around the outline of white and it really isn't noticeable and looks better in my opinion. Hope that helps and good luck!
Hi, were those the ink cartridges that came with the printer or new full size ones? I know the description says that it’s just a sample amount of ink and you’ll need to buy a full set rather quickly. Just curious. Thank you.
Hmm I did not notice a difference in size from the original and the new replacements. I have already replaced more than once all colors. And I buy the official ones because I am scared of the knock off ones messing up the printer? So yeah they seem to be the same size as the ones I have replaced, sorry wish I had better news. But I have been itching to try the knock off inks just to save some money, lol.
@@MakerDecorI tried knock off ink for my laser printer once, never again. HP has me in a chokehold. 😢 thanks for taking the time to respond, appreciate it.
hi dude , you just saved me at least 200 bucks. I still have a question, if I print a frozen character and use it in my baby girl’s party ( at home ) , will Disney’s lawyer come to me? I am afraid these girls took pictures and post it their social medias / online and it violates Disney’s intellectual rights etc …. can someone answer me ? If you buy svgs on Etsy will I get the right ?
Hi, thanks for watching. I will let you know I am not a lawyer but I will tell you what mostly happens. If its for personal use, they really don't care about it. But if you start selling others images with out getting the right to sell it. They can send you a letter to stop if they want. But if you look online you will see thousands of sellers from facebook, Etsy, Amazon, tik tok, instagram, etc sell stuff that is most likely not official. Some may have the rights to sell them and some may not. They can at anytime send a stop letter or take further action. But if you see by the amount of products online they really don't bother with it. People sell images on cakes, t shirts, posters, jewelry, etc and I doubt they all have the rights. Bottom line from what I have seen is for personal use, they are not going to bother you for a party. But you should not open a store in the mall and start selling products without the rights. But I have seen people do it lol. I hope that makes sense and since I am not a lawyer if anybody has any info that would help, please feel free to add or correct anything. Good luck!
@@MakerDecor thank you sooo much sir. I didn’t expect this long answer but I am really really appreciate it. Thank you. I now can start preparing my baby girls birthday party ahead of time and order stuff online . I also discovered a website called printify, which you can design things like tshirt/ cups , and they will print it and mail it to me. Which is also an option. Oh and happy Easter Day.
Hey bro, wondering how much do you defined the cost of each prop? Any suggestions? I'm starting this in this business, but still having problems giving prices.
Hi, most people either use pink insulation foam board from Home Depot or coroplast also at Home Depot. Its that plastic that most yard sale and political signs are printed on. Its a White Corrugated Twinwall Plastic Sheet and is inexpensive. They sell a 4ftt x 8ft wide plastic sheet for like $25 or so at Home Depot. Good luck!
For the purchased decal from that site that was ordered. Could you have transferred the image directly for a cloth backdrop? Or it has to go on a foam board and glued.
Hi, I am not sure. But there was no glue. It is pretty much like a big sticker. Just peel and stick. I don't think it was meant for cloth, but never tried it for that. Its just a large printed sticker basically. Good luck
Hi, thanks for your question. The svg is what I used to resize the image to the size I wanted. And I put two of my images together and saved them. I did this on CANVA.COM it is a free website that is easy to use. Just upload your svg file and stretch to the size you want it, say 4ft tall. Then you can add another image like I did or just save that one as either jpeg or what I believe is better is png or pdf to send it to them. If you did it right when you stretched out the SVG file, then downloaded it as png or pdf. It should not be blurred and look great. I hope that clarifies some of the topics I missed. Thank you for commenting! Good luck
Hi, I put the two images on one image using canva. You can go to canva.com and use it as it is free and super beginner friendly. First open a document the size you want to print at, say 2ft x 4ft and then upload the two images you want to use. Next stretch them to the size you want that fits on that 2ft x 4ft (or which ever size) Then save it and upload it to the printing website. Hope that helps. Good luck!
Pink foam board at Home Depot its called insulation. The white Corrugated board was from Home Depot. That is plastic and I just cut with a razor blade. The plastic they sell it cheap for a 4ft wide x 8ft long piece. It is the same plastic they make yard signs out of. Works great
This is awesome ! I’ve been so scared/anxious about starting a business, but you’re really helping me out! Thank you thank thank you ! I am wondering though, how do you add a garland to a wooden backdrop? The one with panels.
Hi, thank you very much and glad to help. To attach a garland the most items used are command hooks and 260 balloons. Those 260 balloons are like big stretchable rubber bands . We do not blow them up, just stretch them and tie them to the garland in a knot. So they pull the balloons in place. For the wood backdrop we have two screws at the top of the posts. Then just use the 260 balloons to tie and stretch the garland into place. Hope this helps and good luck on your new business!!
