I think the comparisons are interesting because it at least shows if any real work was done to improve the game in terms of graphics and frame rates. Perhaps the updates are more for stability and bugs, but I don’t know.

Those two old consoles still produce some decent graphics, i wonder if the current ones will last that long. I feel like they arrived at a time when new and disruptive things were appearing (such as AI scaling or path tracing lighting) but were too expensive to add into 500 usd machines so we're left out and by this making them not that big of an upgrade vs gen 8.
They look good because devs always prefers graphics over framerate.The game runs way worse in the snow area or the poison area. I play it on base ps4 and sometimes games runs like a power point

My friend still has the Og Xbox one and I was playing the DLC on his console and holy shit does it run bad constant frame drops mid combat felt like I was playing in mud idk how he beat the base game tbh lol

After the recent update the frame rate is so horrible on ps4 it's almost unplayable

From what i have heard the dlc is 25 fps? Anyway it runs worse than base game but i dont know for sure havent had the chance to play. just read it somewhere

It really is, and I just bought the dlc to share with my friend on ps4 too. I'm hoping they fix the abysmal frame drops, as long as it's playable at this point.
The original xbox version looks so bad.. didnt think there was so little grass.. which does so little difference in performance.

tbf xbox x and ps5 are such a failed generation of console they barely worth buying. These consoles have almost nothing going for them and are almost expired as a new generation. Its why the xb1 and ps4 are still going strong
You do understand it's the only generation to have been launched and followed by a global pandemic causing shortages and job losses? For nearly two years scalpers bought all ps5 and series x consoles. So it's not that hard to figure out why there are still so many games releasing on the previous gen.
