- We sail from Guadeloupe to Antigua. In Freeman's Bay, memories of my stay 3 years ago come up. We meet many nice sailors and spend a nice evening on Shirley Heights Lookout. A few days later, Olli arrives with his Pandora and talks about his Atlantic crossing on a small boat.

Do you have running backstays to support the staysail? Did you consider hanking the staysail?
Running backstays were initially considered by the rigging company but Seldén put the upper attachment high enough that running backstays are not required. I did not consider hanking the staysail but wanted a furling system for safety reasons as I am often sailing single handed and want to reduce the time being on the foredeck to a minimum.
