    Contract companies.. they're the same any part of the world, I guess.. Been thru similar clownery two years back.

      Yeah unfortunately it’s all “just business” to these companies and maximising profits. If it destroys people’s dreams in the process, oh well 😰

    So frustrating. Time for a new construction company. No one pours concrete in the rain! Crazy. If the city says it must be removed, its on them.

      Seems they didn’t ask the city and just went ahead with pouring concrete on top to cover it up. We are definitely concerned. Just one thing after another. Wish we could change companies but there’s not much chance to get out of it now. Hoping for a new project manager though.

    Hi Guys, love your progress reports, I would be very concerned about the foundation pours in two stages as that should have been done in one single pour especially in a load bearing area, shame on them. Mick

      Hi Mick, thanks, yes we are very concerned since we don’t even know if they prepped the surface prior to the second pour. Project manager’s answer was “we don’t have to explain to you how we schedule each tradies work”. They’ve started the blockwork now and we just hope that we have enough evidence in case of any future issues.
