As an S22U user I have to confirm: The brightness under direct sunlight is simply crazy!
And battery drain simply crazy too. Others are as bright enough
@@MzwandileHarmans it's not about battery drain. It's about screen. Afterall everyone knows that more brightness means more battery drain. The thing matter is that how bright the screen can go up in direct Sun light

I had OP 9 Pro and P30 Pro and P50 Pro and S21 Ultra, all of them was good outside, S22 Ultra is dimm as hell in sunlight, 800nit is very low and s22 ultra can do 800nits, 1750nit is marketing only, its like HDR conent and for 1cm dot can shine 1750nit maybe, but the full screen is like 800-850nits max in adaptive or manual+ extra brigthness.
Plot twist: All screens are manufactured by Samsung. 😆

As an S22 ultra user I can confidently say Netflix with Dolby Vision on iPhone 13 pro max is way too bright as compared to HDR 10 (HDR10+ is not utilised by Netflix, as Netflix doesn't shoot in samsung invented HDR10+ format) on S22U.
Samsung is also not colour accurate because it is not a 10 bit certified, Dolby Vision screen.
hate to admit it, but my sister's 13 pro max is on another level when it comes to Dolby, vision HDR on Disney and Netflix, the colours are so fucking accurate and brightness is on a different level substantially. Improving contrast without software implementing the contrast.
@@皮貓黃 Actually samsung sticking with their guns a universal HDR 10+ format is hurting them in TV segment as well as mobile market.
Dolby Vision is proprietary I understand but Dolby Vision is actually superior to HDR 10+, on top of it, all streaming services either utilize older HDR 10 or Dolby Vision to shoot because even the cameras that shoot doesn't support 10+.
I am S 22 user but when I compare any Dolby vision content with HDR 10 (again, HDR 10+ is not supported except amazon prime) it is no match.
because Dolby Vision requires 10 bit panel with colour and contrast accuracy with Samsung lacks big time, if you watch a show or a movie with Dolby Vision is 1200 nits you will not go back to Samsung even though Samsung made the screen.
That tells me it's not about who makes the screen. It's about how you utilise it.
@@shree397 they should introduce Dolby vision on the S23 displays. It does seem superior to their HDR10+ and would be a huge selling point too for the S23. I do actually like their saturated displays, which is also extremely colour accurate compared to the dull colours on other types of OLED phones.
@@lenjaminjosh7269 The problem arises when you compare dark scenes. Dolby Vision has no noticeable or palpable black crush. On the other hand, my S 22 ultra has some amount of black crush
For example try and compare space sweepers on 13 promax versus S 22 ultra, the highlights a significantly, more brighter in the dark room as well as brightly lit room (due to Dolby Visions variable brightness using dedicated sensors).
there is a significant difference😅 when you compare 14 pro/pro max with its 1650nits brightness for Dolby vision content compared to 950nits on S22 ultra on netflix even when you play videos on prime, which supports Hdr10+ s22 only goes to 1090nits max(Samson advertises, 1750 nits max brightness, but doesn't share HDR 10+ Max brightness figures, on the other hand, iPhone 14, promax outputs, 2000 nits under sunlight and 1650 on Dolby HDR exactly as advertised)
S22 ultra looked better. Mainly it has rectangular screen. Too much curve and waterfall design cuts of screen estate and viewing experience.

Refresh rate was quite low on Home Screen of iPhone while others where still refreshing at higher rate on home screen. That's adaptive refresh rate in action. Media content was so good on Iphone. Each of these phones individually looks so good unless you have other phone beside.
You see what i see too, it simply means that iphone is the only one that really works with the adaptive refresh rate, others are just gimmick, while the screen is at rest it goes low up to 1hz that you wouldn’t see the flickering
@@adex_smith lol you're dumb if you think androids doesn't do that. They do it much better then iPhone. My s22u screen goes down to 1 Hz when needed and all the way from 1-120 range depending on the need and usage. So stop witam your bs, apple fangirls.

I have the pixel 6 and that's very dull and yellowish hue I personally prefer the Samsung phone but I know all the screens are made by Samsung.

Xiaomi nailed it in HDR 😍, but they don't have the brightest display, only area they lose. Samsung has the brightest, a little over saturated vivid mode, iPhone is a overall good, OnePlus very disappointing.
Because nobody will watching a movie or long video under direct sunlight.
It will destroy our phone because of heating.
Between 800-1000 nits is enough for doing the job under sunlight.

from my observation- 1. samsung s22 ultra, 2-xaimi, 3-apple 12 pro-4-one plus pro.....apple did look competitive in the video what i could see....one probably would not be disappointed with anyone of the 4 phones...they all derserve top ratings
iphone goes for natural color mode (sRGB) in normal usage, and cinema grade color mode (DCI-P3) while watching HDR videos.
Iphone 13 Pro Max and Samsung S22 Ultra are the best. I prefer Samsung saturated colors.

I have purchased the 13 pro recently and the display is not even close to my Redmi k20 pro. iPhone display has some kind of mild warm tint and the quality is not good.

@@okami1902 bro iam telling you K20 is one of the best phn I used iam still using it in USA. iam utterly disappointed with 13 pro when I watched RRR trailer in both phones at a time and in iPhone there is not even an option to turn the camera shutter sound off, you need to keep your phn in silent to shut the sound off which is so annoying.
For my liking
1. Samsung s22 ultra is the best of all. No one can beat samsung.
2. Mi is some times over powered than samsung (while showing green) and some times lagging behind samsung. Overall nicely competing with the monster S22.
3. Apple. Some people like It's natural colors. But, I like bright colors.
4. 1+ has to work a lot on color calibration!

Literally any other screen looks better than the Samsung. The Xiaomi screen looked pretty dang good, the iPhone had good colors as well, but I think the brightness needed to be upped a bit more (50% brightness on one phone does not mean it’s the same actual brightness as 50% on another phone). Even the one plus looked pretty good, but the saturation on the Samsung was so strong, that everything looked unnaturally vibrant, and not true to life.

My problem with the Samsung display is that it makes the whites look very warm and cream instead of pure clean white like the sony displays. When it comes to editing pictures that annoys me a lot that the highlights and whites look too warm and not cold and bright.
My old sony xperia (2016) has brighter and whiter whites than the newest Samsung display.
Can someone please confirm this?
P.S.: Yes, I used the adjustable colour settings on the Samsung but there is no noticeable difference.
lol, all the phones here use Samsung displays so your fanboying attitude here wont make a difference because its basically Samsung vs Samsung here. Whites are whiter on LCDs because of the nature of its backlight while Blacks are darker in OLEDs. Also, Xperia LCDs suck lol and even when it comes to whites, Samsung OLEDs are better and would stomp an old shitty Xperia LCD any day
@@SeoWoojin55 Much opinion for less experience (no pun intended)! Let me tell you, I bought the Xperia 1IV and its display is a huge difference to the Samsung! (And no! This Xperia does NOT use a Samsung display).
I compared them side by side and the whites on the Xperia are much colder and brighter than on the Samsung. I tried to adjust the display on the Samsung with the settings and absolutely nothing has changed!

Edit: I watch full video now, clearly hdr videos looking way better in iPhone and xiaomi the black areas are better exposed.
Leave brightness, all are well over 1200 nits all are good in sunlight.
