This is the 1993 version of DD. They had gone through changes from their original line up in the early 80s and matured some by that time. Their music is timeless and depending on what decade you catch (yup, they are still fully active with 4 of the 5 original members to this day), you never know what style of Duran Duran you will get, but you can be sure that they will remain true to themselves. I would start at the beginning if I were you, but honestly, you can jump around from decade to decade with these guys and it will always be good! As far as their looks are concerned, the only appropriate response is "me likey!" 😂

Being a child of 1980s Britain, I can confirm that this band had many, many young female fans. I bet some of those same young girls are still attending their concerts today. Being a boy, Iron Maiden was more my thing - this is a very fine song though.
I am, I last saw them in Birmingham in May 2023 - am 50 years old so grew up listening to them, my older sister was always playing them in her bedroom. Seen them live numerous times.
They were very, very pretty, and they were consistently underrated as a 'boy band' because of it, but they're very talented musicians and songwriters. I'm mostly a metalhead (Wintersun, Ne Obliviscaris, Unreqvited, Sadness. Rose Dying in the Rain) , but I'll always make time for a bit of Duran Duran

Just listen & see how it makes you feel… Duran Duran is 1 of the few artists who have achieved & maintained global success throughout countries spanning most continents, within only a few years after their explosive UK debut, & now 40+ years later, they've continued creating, experimenting, innovating & releasing new music, while also expanding their fanbase, as well as where all they've previously performed - whether it's touring locations, as well as different types of venues, with major music festivals being a huge 1… This is a band every music lover should dive into. And because they had so much success early on, regardless of the nagging critics' open disdain for them based mostly off their looks (tho, thankfully, by the 2nd half of their career they've been shown the respect for their talent as writers & skills for their musicianship), having achieved many of the goals most musicians crave within their 1st 5 years, they had the luxury, talent, motivation & drive to try so many different things - which did bite them during those times when it didn't go well, but thankfully they luv making music & performing, so they're still here making great songs… Anyway, the point is, if while going through their catalogue, you come across several songs or a few albums you don't like, don't give up on them. They're always changing things up, & that's allowed me to discover gems: some I'd not gotten to, some I missed, some I'd forgotten, & even some over time I'd changed my mind about. Years ago I was mostly into heavy metal and I couldn't stand this group. Of course I had heard Hungry Like The Wolf, but as I grew older my musical tastes changed. This song and Come Undone are my favorite songs by Duran Duran. Thanks for reacting to this one.

In this video I noticed it at 6:14, and just because she rewinded it back to rewatch it, otherwise I'd still be totally oblivious about, not knowing, which lead me to think, how old is this video? we're on february 2024 so it'll be 32 years in Dec. 19th 2024 (yeah, of course I had to google it) but 31 years is not much a difference, is it? anyways big surprise with the barefoot scene revelation after 31 years later 😂
