We take a trip south of the PA border, to Wilmington, DE, in search of steam. And our search was without dissappointment, as we'll see steam engine #98 pulling the Mount Cuba Express. You'll see views from in the cab, as well as trackside, on this rainy and dreary day. So sit back, and enjoy this video clip of #98 heading up the Mt. Cuba Express!
Super video!
Back then when I was young, 98 was my all-time favorite steam locomotive!
Many of their passenger cars came from the Lackawanna Railroad. Steamtown National Park in Scranton Pennsylvania which is in the old Lackawanna Railroad yard, also operates several of them from the same original fleet. Many of them spent their lives in NJ commuter service out of Hoboken.
great sounding whistle, thanks for sharing the experience with the rest of us
58 was in the shop when 98 came out many years ago
I remember 98...it was nice that the crew let you experience the driving of the train in the cab of 98...we hope to visit the W&W this year and take a trip to Mt. Cuba from Green Bank this summer.
excellent!!!!!!!
Un video que nos lleva a viajar en el tiempo
I wonder if a tripleheader with 92, 98 and 58 is possible one day in the future too?
Don’t be surprised one of these days. 98 is almost done with her 1472.
