Sandman talks about the moment he learned about the deaths of Chris Benoit, Nancy Benoit and their son Daniel. Sandman says he knew something was wrong since Benoit hadn't arrived to the venue and the feeling was that he was dead.
To Sandman and everyone else's shock, not only was Benoit gone but so was his wife and son. Nancy managed the Sandman back in ECW and the two were extremely close. Find out about the aftermath of the Benoit murders and how it changed the WWE, Vince McMahon and wrestling forever.

Crazy to know how fresh the Benoit case was in everyone's mind since it happened in 2007 and this shoot was filmed the same year.
yeah i was thinking that same thing like literally fucking hell hasnt even fully grieved it's raw af and you can tell. And yeh its different for me because my friend was a spit of Benoit and this was like PEAK attitude era so we'd call him the Crippler, but yeh in 07 i like a few im sure that are here checked out of wrestling TOTALLY by this point. i do remember it man and thinking wow the memories of how AWESOME the attitude era was if you never lived it you'll just never know. Like the business hadnt TOTALLY been exposed it was still believable now its guys taking bumps and you know the word bump and you know like i used to think closelines were BRUTAL like the closeline from hell omg bradshaw i was like that's REAL af you cant fake that it's not a tombstone like i always knew that didnt hurt, but yeh now we all know how clotheslines are done and they're not brutal lol but yah RAW af here (god i didnt even mean that pun so imma shut up). Damn, I never thought Sandman, of all people, would trip me out the most about this case. Substance abuse and mental health in general had to be something that needs to be taken more serious in the industry. Professional Wrestling is a lot like Pron industry in the sense that the talent doesn't tend to live that long.

That’s absolutely genius, the business likely cracked him. The pressure a lot of wrestlers have to endure and the work they have to put in to stay in shape and in the business can drive many people insane.
did you know Kevin Sullivan threatened to kill Chris and his wife several times! Chris's wife used to be Kevin's until Chris had a real life affair with her during a fake affair promo, then had a kid with her and Kevin was insanely jealous, and said he was going to kill them both several times, and for the life of me i do not know why they never investigated him, i think the cops dropped the ball and had a one track mind and just closed the case, calling it murder suicide, that's what poorly trained lazy Georgia cops do! but to this day i still do not think Chris did this., I've seen videos of him playing with his kid, looks like a good and loving father to me, and i don't care what people think, if you love something you can never hurt it, he had no where near enough damage done to his brain to make him homicidal and suicidal, extensive yes, only parts that would affect his memory, balance, and coordination, not behaviors. it was a poorly investigated case with a poor outcome, i truly believe he did not do it, too many people have heard Kevin threaten Chris Benoit and his wife! too many to not be looked at.

Nancy's sister (someone who literally walked through the crime scene) has stated multiple times that any claims that it was anyone other than Chris should be given no credence. His brain was studied and it was an absolute wreck. If you don't think CTE played a role in the incident you are ignoring blatant evidence.
When you've been abusing prescriptions and drinking alcohol like Chris Benoit has and you've had numerous untreated concussions all of that love for your child and wife, that's out the window.

I don't believe in demons. Not in the sense of an external being. I do believe all of the concussions, and his personal demons, the drugs, alcohol, and Eddie's death just ultimately broke him.

Absolutely! Maybe she cheated on him??? He just snapped. Of course, he had CTE … but he didn’t look like he couldn’t move or anything wash himself or was slurring his speech. There must have been a TRIGGERING event.
Check out videos about the incident. The evidence doesn't match up. The autopsy showed he had no steroids, drugs or alcohol in his system and he some how sent a text message from his phone, yet the coroner said he was already dead by then due to decomposition. I think all 3 were murdered and he was set up. Kevin Sullivan definitely had something to do with it.
Same I think Nancy had was threatening on leaving him if he didn’t consider retiring soon. Nancy and Benoit separated in 2002? After Chris pushed Nancy but then reconciled. So many upper/downers, testosterone and CTE and a bi polar nut case. I think they got drunk and had an argument and Benoit snapped. It very unfortunate and I couldn’t believe he did it to his own son. By 2008 I stopped watching wrestling it just wasn’t the same anymore

CTE is bad, but it can affect you making you slur your words and forget stuff in the most dangerous cases. Truth is: people live very sadly lives. That’s a sad, normal and undisputed truth.
I always had this theory: physically, Chris did it. Mentally, given the CTE and roid rage, it was some other personality in Chris' brain. All in all, it was a terrible weekend.

No he made sure his name will always be mentioned. Had he not done it, 100 years from now he would just be a picture of a classic wrestler, and nobody would know him. But now regardless of it being 100 years or a thousand years from now, his name will be known. 100 years from now, few wrestlers we know will be known by very few, but he will be one of the very few who's name will be known. He is the Booth of wrestling. In his time Booth was a celebrity. He was actually a famous stage actor. That is how the people in the theatre knew who shot Lincoln. Had he not shot Lincoln, nobody would know who Booth was today. He is like a early 20th century baseball play. People know very few of them, even most of the great ones. But everybody has heard the names of the 1919 Black Sox players, and their names will always be known because of their crimes. Had they not committed crimes their names too would be lost to history. Two types of people get remembered, those that did something special, or something bad, and everybody else gets forgotten. Benoit is the Fatty Arbuckle of wrestling. Arbuckle was a silent movie actor, was the most popular actor in the world, and the biggest star in Hollywood. But he was accused of murder, and was the first celebrity ever on trial for murder. Sadly nobody would remember Arbuckle today if not for him being accused of murder. The only difference is Arbuckle was clearly innocent, Benoit is clearly guilty. Arbuckle was way more famous than OJ. So picture the OJ trial times ten, around 75 years before the OJ trial.
He also damaged many others career, now Eddie guerrero and kurt angle for example get to have many moments of their career not spoken about officially by wwe due to being linked fo Benoit, because the company erased Benoit. And now they are doing the same to erase brock lesnar because of those recent allegations against him, and Lesnar was another key opponent to both Eddie and Angle... Sad
