Thanks for watching. The constant hissing sounds like you're describing continuous flushing which can be caused by a faulty piston. Try replacing the piston first and see if that helps.
Hello this was a great video. Can you please tell me why when I flush the water is leaking down the tail pipe? I think the vacuum beaker needs to be replace maybe
Thanks Tirent! You are right replacing the vacuum breaker is the simplest place to start. If the rubber begins to break down and deteriorate, it can restrict the flow it can create more back pressure while flushing.
My Toto is leaking from the tail pipe when I flush. I assume it's the Vacuum Breaker. Most of our toilets are Sloan and I have several Sloan flush valves on my shelf. Can I replace it with a Sloan Vacuum Breaker? Or do I have to use a Toto breaker? They look the same on the website, except the price :-) Thank You.
Thanks for watching. Vacuum breakers are interchangable for the most part there isn't much variation between them as they are all the same size. Just try to match as closely as possible.
Thanks for watching. The pistons used in these models are for 1.28 gpf and 1.6 gpf. The pistons are what dictates how long the flush continues and how many gallons of water is released before the valve resets. Not sure if this can be adjusted between the two or it if is a set amount which just works for both toilets. There might be more information in the manual or you may want to contact Toto for more specific information.
Our problem is that we turn the automatic flushing off and come back the next morning (or later in the day) and it is turned back on. Just started doing this a few weeks ago. Any idea why? I have a 12+ year old Neorest 500 MS950GC. TIA.
Thanks for watching. That might be a question for the manufacturer as there can be some variation between different models of sensors and control boards.
Hi Seon, thank you for watching. If you've replaced the sensor and the solenoid and the unit still won't flush then it could be an issue with the capacitor which is located next to the backup battery. Unfortunately the capacitor can't be easily tested. It might be worth calling Toto directly to ask them.
Thanks for watching. If it flushes manually by pressing the manual (bypass) button, then that means the piston is working fine. This means that the solenoid is likely stuck or not opening properly.
So my Toto auto flushed is flushing very slowly and week. Water valve seems to be fully turned open , water level is ok. I played with the adjustment valve screw. Please help
Thanks for watching. It's worth installing a new piston and seeing if that helps. Over time the rubber seals can wear down and this might cause it to stick and not move freely.
@@AmreSupply understood, this automatic flusher is about five years old the more I play with it the more problems I’m running into now I’m getting a constant flushing and I can’t stop it and my sensor doesn’t seem to be working properly as well.
@@anthonyasaro1351 Bad seals on the piston can also cause continuous flushing. The piston is a good place to start before looking further into the sensor.

Hi Solano, First thing you should check is if the manual flush button is stuck. If its pressed down just a little bit, water will continue to flush. It can be replaced if necessary ruclips.net/video/Kh_sA41k6sY/видео.html Next thing to check is the piston. It it starts to wear down, it can prevent the valve from closing. ruclips.net/video/3MrPxf1PEpw/видео.html Also if the solenoid is stuck open then it will also cause continuous flushing: ruclips.net/video/g17Wv7R2YuU/видео.html
The Ecopower Flushometers have self adjusting smart sensors. Even though there isn't a manual adjustment, you can disconnect the sensor and reconnect the unit to reset it. It will do auto adjustments over 5 min and should reduce the sensors range.
If Sam’s Club Plano Ohio 121 Restrooms Zurn Hardwired Autoflush won’t let me Flush twice or more then need to replace the existing Zurn Flushometer, & Autoflush hardwired. Could this product TOTO Auto Ecoflush will be upgraded? (For example: East Plano Sam’s Club already brought Toto Zurn Fixtures)
Hi Timothhy, thank you for watching. If your autoflush won't flush more than twice then it sounds like it is a problem with the sensor module. Sometimes its more economical to fix the current flushometers and in other cases it makes sense to upgrade all the flushometers. Every scenario is different.
Thanks for watching. Since the solenoid is a valve it will either open or close. If the battery is too low the the solenoid might not open, which will prevent a flush from working. A low battery will directly not affect water pressure during a successful flush.
Hi Ross, thank you for watching. Phantom flushing could be an issue with the sensor calibration, which can cause it to trigger the flush from small movements that are normally far outside the sensor range. Another cause could be a leaky piston or solenoid which slowly lets out a small amount of water from the upper chamber, which at a point will cause the flush to initiate.
Wish I had found your 4 yrs ago. Would have saved me Sooooo much time. Thank you.
You're welcome, we're just glad that you found these videos now! Cheers!
Very helpful thanks so much

I hated these as a kid because every one I went to they were mounted to the wall and you couldn't cover the sensor with toilet paper

I’ve got constant hissing and water trying to fill the toilet what part do you think it is ? I’ve got the whole assembly

FYI, the problem went away when I put in new batteries. The old ones were weak, but not dead.@@AmreSupply
I’ve changed the solenoid and sensor on my Toto EcoPower flushometer toilet, and it still won’t flush automatically.

What if it flushes with a Good flow manually pressing but on sensor it has almost 0 flow?
Thanks for watching. If it flushes manually by pressing the manual (bypass) button, then that means the piston is working fine. This means that the solenoid is likely stuck or not opening properly.
Why do each time I replace a new solenoid valve, it will flush non stop. And piston is not faulty. Thanks in advance
Thanks for watching. Do you hear the solenoids click when flushing? If not Its possible that the solenoid is just stuck sitting in the open position.
