What’s the move you’re making: Buying now or waiting for Juniper? 🤔
both
I'm a Model Y owner and 100% satisfied with it. But I never thought it was a good looking vehicle. The new model Y does not look good either.😅
Agree; The model 3 is the sexy one! Model Y is the sensible but slightly chubby older sister...
Facts. It's an ugly car. But until the Chinese cars get everywhere without taxes it will be the best option for an EV SUV
I would disagree, every angle looks good except head-on, also depends heavily on the color, I don’t like the white or blue
I just bought a model y long range last month and I’m loving it and the new jupiter would look very nice but I feel like people should get the current model y’s, especially like you mentioned that there could be potential discounts to make room for inventory. And plus the current model y’s are already advanced for some people and they are great cars even though they haven’t had a major redesign since they came out.
For the price, the amount of value you get with the current Y is amazing! Congrats on your new Tesla 🫡
As someone who owns the 2024 Model 3, I drove around a model Y loaner yesterday and while I did enjoy having actual turning stalks pretty much everything else was a severe downgrade. From the quality of material used to the lack of sound dampening inside the car. I am really interested in what the refreshed model Y will be like, but it will definitely come with an increased price. So if you want a good deal maybe get the current model Y but in my opinion if you're already spending so much why not wait the few months for the 2025. That is what I did, originally planned to buy around this time last year but waited until January to place an order for the refresh and got it in March.
Of course, the model Y i was in was most likely an older one from 2020/21 so if you plan to buy it maybe go for a test drive.
@@Nabee_Hindeed. Either one's economy makes every 1k count or waiting for Juniper is the only choice
This is the best summary of all juniper leaks out there. Based and informed. Well done Ayman. You earned me a sub.
Stalkless on the new Juniper? That’s stupid! Isn’t that a safety issue if it’s on the screen..?
I wouldn’t say it’s a safety concern but instead more like an inconvenience.
I love not having the stocks. Very easy to get used to. Now the steering wheel itself sucks. I hate how the stitching on the wheel is on the back and is irritating to hold on to.
Interesting - I haven’t heard people mention the stitching being an issue, maybe I need to drive with it for long stretches…
Really wish the model Y would add a hud, they could even create Augmented reality but honestly just having the speed in front of you would be more then enough!
It would be so funny if tesla doesnt really have a rear light bar and only produced that image knowing it would surface the internet lol.
Love the LED interior! It’s badass. I got it on T3
Juniper looks great and is such
I don't get the constant craving for more range! Which only mean:
bigger battery = less space for other things.
heavier battery = more energy use and tyre wear, and worse accellaration and driving properties.
The best battery for any car is just big enough to reach the next charger.
If you could get a petrol-car with a 200 gallon tank, you would not consider buying that one either, would you?
I ALWAYS buy my car of choice with the SMALLEST battery! Because it is always more than big enough ; )
A couple comments about why people may want more range. To preface, I’m a long range model 3 owner since 2018 and have garage charging setup. I still get a little bit of range anxiety to this day with a car that is rated to do about 300 miles on a charge. I charge to about 85% so only start with about 250 miles of range on typical days.
1. The car doesn’t actually get the rated range unless you are in perfect conditions with optimal driving. My 300 mile range only gets about 200ish in the winter driving at 70mph with 1 passenger and gear loaded for a ski trip or something similar.
2. Cold temperatures (20F) really drop rated range for at least the older vehicles.
3. Standby drain at night in cold weather when you are away from home is significant enough that you have to factor it in. Camping in the fall when night temps can get into the 40s (F), I can easily loose 20 miles of range each day with the car just sitting there not doing anything. Newer cars are more efficient and don’t lose as much.
4. People who live in apartments that need to plan out charging trips to a super charge have to take into account that short hops in the car to a grocery store, restaurants, or work are really inefficient in cold and hot weather. The car essentially spends a lot of energy trying to heat/cool the cabin and battery only for the trip to end in a short period of time and the whole process starts all over again when they get back in. In the winter if I don’t charge daily, I get about 150 miles of use over 3 days for a car that is rated for 300 and my work commute is only 10 miles.
Having more range doesn’t fix any of these problems with range lose, But it does give you more headroom such that it becomes less of concern to all but the most extreme scenarios. Every thing I’v listed above impacts a good portion of the population so it makes sense that there are voices out there wishing for more range.
@@exocycle601 Fact remains: In any of these scenarios there would be several Superchargers in all directions you could stop and charge from. That's why they are spaced so densely.
You say it yourself: "Range anxiety, concern, headroom": It's all in your head man! And not just in yours: Many people have these concerns for little or no reason.
I know of many petrol-cars wich drink gas and has small tanks and a range shorter than my Tesla! But you don't see them drivers having range anxiety...
Tesla should add an electrochromatic roof to block out the sun.
Ready to buys!
Let’s gooo! Samee, but worried about the resale value of my current Model Y though lol
@@astateoftech You should still receive same treatment as car value or trade in value through 1. Original purchase price, 2. Useful life assumption and condition , 3. Resulting figure to the # of miles/kilometers but yet, Tesla has been high per market demand since widely recognized for their innovative tech..
Looks to clean to me.
I wanna say something to Elon Musk ; dont forget the power pls !
