Travelling Chef, less talking, more eating! 😁 Riu is a great resort. I stayed at the Riu Dunamar in Mexico for the entire month of January 2021. Great food. The buffet was self serve which I prefer. Everybody sanitized their hands prior to entering and had a mask on! Funny the deserts were identical and the food was very similar. It would be great for you to review the Riu resorts in Mexico! Found your videos while researching DR. Love your enthusiasm! Your videos are very entertaining. Question: I noticed you did not hesitate to eat the fresh fruits, cheese, deli meats and veggies. I'm getting mixed advice on whether it's safe to eat fruits you don't peel yourself, cheese (in fear of non pasteurization), deli meats (since they're uncooked, as with uncooked meats in general), and even sushi. I want to enjoy my food experience as much as you did! But could you tell me if you had any stomach issues with the types of food mentioned above? Thanks!
Overall would you rate it the best food hotel of puta Cana? I’ve sadly come across so many videos with bad rated food in puta Cana resort. As a long time foodie I can't imagine doing it to myself I will cry I need good food on holiday.
We are visiting this place i seen alot of bad reviews please tell me the truth about this place i really want to enjoy myself there. Im excited but nervous at the sametime.
@@TravelingChef we went there a couple months ago It does get packed with locals on the weekend The best bartenders are in the evening shifts Cleanliness is not bad they due need to update to an modern look in the rooms Food was okay I suggest anyone to find something you like and stick to it 😁
@@Knightpoweredimages I totally agree with you👍. They defiantly need to update the rooms, also I noticed some food were great but others were so so. I did have my favorites and stuck to them most of the time , I recommend the calamari if you like seafood also the steak and the breakfast station not to mention the great expresso were great as well 👍

ALSO TIPPING GOES ALONG WAY FOR BETTER SERVICE EVEN IF YOU TIP IN PESOS THE GRATITUDE FOR THEM IS MUCH PLUS THEY WILL REMEMBER WHO YOU ARE FOR GREAT SERVICE. I WOULD SUGGEST THE RESORT TAKE A DAY TO CLOSE DOWN THE POOLS AND DEEP CLEAN THEM. I SEEN SOME BLACK MOLD ON THE SIDES AND BOTTOM OF POOL. I KNOW IT'S HARD TO DUE WHEN THE RESORT IS ALWAYS BOOKED BUT CLEANING THE POOLS IS A MUST IN MY OPINION. WARNING FOR ADULTS THIS IS NOT AN ALL INCLUSIVE ADULT ONLY RESORT SO WHEN YOI EXPECT THE SWIM UP BAR TO BE ADULTS ONLY IT'S NOT. THEY LET THE KIDS SWIM IN THAT AREA AS WELL. The Waterpark is a good walk almost a hlf to a mile away from the resort. The sad part is the view at night isn't as extravagant as the Riu Palace next door it's so Beautiful at night. Be careful at night for you have night walkers offering you drugs or sell some sort of cigar Do not I REPEAT DO NOT BUT ANY SUN GLASSES OFF OF PEOPLE IN THE DAY TIME THEY ARE CHARGING 45 TO 70 USD FOR SUN GLASSES! YOU CAN GET THEM CHEAPER AT ONE OF THE STORES ONSITE OR JUST BUY YOUR OWN BEFORE THE TRIP.

Yes they had a lot of it. Calamari was delicious, shrimps, clams and Dominican fish 🐠 too.
