Hi Scott, thanks. I don't really have a steady source for thick slabs. But, I called a friend of mine who owns a tree service a few years ago. I asked if he was cutting down any walnut trees and, if so, to let me buy one. Well, not only did he deliver quickly, but I got the whole trunk, with crotch figure, for free! He just dropped it off in my yard one day! We milled it with a portable bandsaw mill in my yard. I did a video on it and you can see it on my RUclips channel.
