Awesome. Glad the Iron Warriors gotten some love
@@Matt-md5yt we are happy to do them!
I think it's great that you called this "standard" or "easy" grimdark in the title & thumbnail. There's some people who want to gatekeep what the style is but what we really need is a spectrum of the grimdark styles. We're all one big grimy, battle-worn family here.
Iron within, iron without! Superb work Nate 👌
LETS GO!!!
You da man!
Just... WOW! I'll never paint Iron Warriors, but I learned so much that I can apply to my Undead, my Star Wars Legion minis, and more. Excellent video!
man, grimdark gets some heavy hitters on here. nothing but home runs.
Just started Iron Warriors, so pumped to try some of these techniques - especially that cast iron!
Have fun!
Damn man...for me this is such a perfect characterisation of what I have read of them in the books and how I see them in my head. Keep these videos coming; so inspiring.

Iron Within. I love the grim darkness and all the weathering except of the rusting. As Iron Warriors have the dour duty to always make their equipment clean and rust is the enemy. Wonderful guide! Especially the green stuff cast iron warriors. Let's Go!
That glue plus green stuff combination looks GREAT. Never seen that before and I'll definitely be using it for ork armor
Awesome brother. Iron within, Iron without
If anyone can grimdark an iron warrior it's definitely the feral painter mint vid nate
@@mattbail6347 indeed!
I think that cast iron look is something I'm going to steal forfantasy orcs and chaos!
Do it!
i didn;t actually dare to dream my request would be answered, and so soon! Love it, now i have three different colors/styles to do my army
May the Emperor's healing light shine into that most grimmest and darkest of Workshops!
OMG YES!!!!! Amazing work, please more!
You did a great job on that one. I love the conversion too. Thanks for sharing!
Woooo!!me encanta la entrada!!!muy buena!!! Recupérate pronto Dark Ages!
This looks class pal, I’m definitely going to give that cast iron effect a go! The inks are on the never-ending shopping list too..

The Liquid Green Stuff technique can also be done with Tamiya Putty and Tamiya Extra Thin followed by a fine grit sand paper. It might be easier to get than a Liquid Green Stuff since its available from Amazon.
Wonderful again! Get well soon Dark!
Going to be using this to add some new depth to my Aggressors in my (definitely not loyalist Iron Warriors) Marines Malevolent army. The kitbash alone is fantastic, let alone the incredible texture work and paintjob!
Ahhh the best legion, fantastic!
Thankyou
The best!
Oh my god I never would've thought to use Aggressors for Iron Warriors Terminators and now I need to make a whole ass squad of them...
A lot to ask, but can you guys do a Black Legion Daemon Prince?
@@Dharleth82 soon!
@@GrimdarkCompendium I wish I could heart your comment back! In a world where GW seems to be going in an increasingly less grimdark direction, you guys have single-handedly got me back into painting the minis.
Phenomenal recipe! Love the use of the AK True Metal Metallics on this piece as well. Love using those products on my knights. Still need to acquire the Villainy Inks however
World needs Word Bearers!
@povelvas9710 coming soon!
@@GrimdarkCompendium OH YEAH BABYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
I enjoyed your work as always, amazing artwork😊👌👌🤟🤟
Thank you! Cheers!
Wondering how true metal works on bigger surface like tank
Work awesome!!!
Do you know any examples on Instagram or some painters from Facebook group? Just to know what you're getting into when investing in them. Tanks are different beasts after all, with big, flat areas.
@@MultiCyberAngel i use them all the time buddy. They come in a tube. So plenty of paint. Feel free to search them yourself 👌🏻
The same effect can be achieved with Tamiya putty by mixing it with extra thin glue for gluing models
Awesome model and conversion

Nice! Dig it
Glad you like it!
Literally been at grim dark for years and I still can’t use a Q tip without taking paint what is the secret! Lol
Same, use the little make up sponges instead, infinitely better.
pressing too hard?
Varnish first?
The main thing is making sure the acrylic layer you apply the enamel over has had sufficient time to cure.
Secondly it’s just about lightness of touch and technique, I favour gentle tapping motions no back and forth or pushing / pulling.
Hopefully you’ll get the hang of it!
You're coming close to the best Chaos Legion...
Yeah! Can’t wait for Dark Angels!
@@Notpopularopinion Dark Angels are Chaos now? 🤣
What about Transfers and your inks? I have watched quite some of your Videos now and want tontest out the inks that habe arrived soon. Never have seen Transfers being applied in the Videos
sitting here sad i did not watch this before get 2 thirds of the way done with my Stormcast Spearhead 😑
When Skaven?
I need it
Wooooooo🎉🎉🎉🎉

Honestly, what kind of fucking q-tips do you guys use? Cuz anytime I remove oils/enamels with a q-tip, the model ends up with 6,969 fibers all over the model
@@warsmithonyx4622 just takes practice. I have to remove fibers sometimes.
I deleted my previous comment. Mistakenly thought this was a different painter. My bad
There is another painter who has attacked other painters who address Iron Warriors. Sorry Ferral, not you
Oh yes, were you referring to the guy who tried to shame me and make a video??
Thanks for standing up to hate in this community. ☺️☺️
I hope you enjoyed this video and found it useful ☺️
@@TheFeralPainterI did. Thank you.
Again, apologies.
@@johntakacs9441 your welcome ☺️ hope your enjoying the content
way too much talking for far too little information
This technique would also translate 100% to Necrons as well IMO. Well done!
