- Watch a long winded journey to the promised land of early morning grinds in my yard. First shovel went in the ground August 18th 2023 and I finished this thing March 18th 2024. A buncha people helped.
This guy is literally living the dream.
No DOUBT!! House in the mountains, rock wall in the backyard with a pool!
Beautiful bowl surprised no one mentioned the boulder wall either that thing is gorgeous!
Thanks! Being able to fling dirt against the rock wall made digging much easier
That was sick mate! Thanks for vlogging it
Plastic for the back spray was smart wish I did that 😅
It definitely helped bringing in some professionals under the table!
Just got recommended this on my feed so I can see it blowing up.. awesome job 🏴
Rad! Not sure how or why it blew up but glad you liked it!
FUKIN EPIC Bro !!! Dowdy says it's good ... Fukin must be !!!
Mad respect from New Zealand bro
Not bad. Got one in my backyard too. Not a bowl, but bowl on one end, flat face wall w corners and a pyramid in the middle. Hard edge and blocks. It's a blast
At home terrain is the best!
So happy for you! Living the dream!
Thank you! Gotta put up some lights this fall!
LOOKS AWESOME! I'm not great at transition, though I reckon I could progress pretty quickly on a bowl of this design as it looks just about the right size and gradient.
Well done man!
Thank you!
it doesn't have to be perfect, but it's just perfect
Nice work. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🇨🇦
That is so cool!!!!
Awesome build, it's great to have friends that can help out, and it always feels good to help a mate! Time to shred
Help is key!
Thing is magical!!! You rule packy!
i miss the pacific north west. thanks for showing me again bro. love the bowl
love the video, even more the soundtrack
One and done is a good way to go. Great work gang!
This is awesome man. Even all the landscaping around it too it looks beautiful 🤟🏻
Thank you! All this work killed a lot of grass so I'm fixing all that now.
Even played with the dog. Good fellers.
It's a must!
Rad looking bowl! Nice work!
This is the best thing ever!!
Dude this is insane! That’s my dream to have a small bowl in my backyard with actual pool coping. I really want to skate that! 👍
The handpoured coping is great because.there aren't any seams. Hopefully less maintenance down the road.
Dude that's so cool.
Awesome… and Frank Zappa to go along with it.. perfect!
Very cool. I had my buddies from Artisan Skateparks build a pool at my house back in 2007. It was a swimming pool in the summer and a skate bowl in the winter.
Artisan rules! They're Critical Thrashers 👀
@@AdultSkateboarder Oh man, Critical Thrash. If you know, you know.
@@netposerx hahahaha
Great job dude that's a dream come true for sure
Thank you!
Unreal. Living the dream that I can’t 😭
It's super easy. You just have to buy a house and pay a bank for 30 years and dig and dig and dig and spend a couple grand on concrete 😂😂😂
@@AdultSkateboarder Wife won’t even give in to a 4ft mini. So that’s it for me. 🙏 Enjoy that master piece man , looks so fun.
@@coldseamonster tell her you're building a birdbath haha
Sick! I'm coming over!
I want one now
Dope build
soooooo sick man, going outside now
Haha
Hell yes.
Love the Zappa 😎
the dream!!
Good job 👏 👌
Sick setup. Has anyone built a bowl/ park radiant heating? I feel like that would give my old bones a few extra months every year.
I have not but that would probably help it dry fast as well.
Nicely done
Thanks for making it happen! Roll through anytime!
damn dude i built a halfpipe in my living room, but now im thinking i need this too. concrete prices went way up in my area. they want 30k for a driveway, so finding some guys is the way to go.
I had no idea what I was doing so the help was crucial.
Hell yeah
Awesome
Came for the thumbnail, stayed for willy the pimp.
F@ck Yeah!
Wooooord💯
This is kind of like the one I just did in my backyard 😅
I'm a bit of a shit trowler as well, now I know how to hold it at least.... all in all what was roughly the cost? Especially for the 10 yards.
I wanna say the truck was $2400, renting the concrete pump under the table was $1000 and then I paid 4 guys cash under the table as well. I think when you include all the rebar and other materials it was about $7k for everything.
This is COOL A.F.👍👍👍🫶🤘
there's already a skate magazine called adult in auburn ca
Definitely would have covered that concrete and used plasticiser if it was that cold
My 6 hours of experience says otherwise! (Kidding)
@@AdultSkateboarder yeah
Sik!
7:04 I believe those are called "forms"
Wrong proportions? Also wondering why there is no metal coping won’t the concrete just chip and get rough
The lacquer helps protect it. Plus it's more fun to grind.
Zappa kills
6:59 lol come on man, it's only been 7 minutes. I'll go outside after I'm done taking a sh..
hahaha
so sick, try chopped and screwed instead of slowed and verbed!!!
Gotta scope that out!
Is that Beefheart?
Frank Zappa but also yes!
Dude seriously though slowed and reverb
It makes any song rad
30 years of concrete under my fingernails, that seems like a complex shape with elevations for not a great deal of rebar. I suppose it's never going to be under tension so it doesn't need much. Nice result. I can't imagine what I would charge for something like this.
It's definitely not built to code haha. Most of the bowl is only about 3inches thick too but it's pretty sturdy. Also my wife says I have to demo it when we move away at some point.
He sounds like MadSeasonShow if he was cool
Is if the vast majority of skaters aren't adults
Slow it down and reverb it
This is the way
