After more than a year and half of work on the house, the land and to prepare the forms for the ramps. the time to pour the first concrete skate feature of the ramp has finally arrived. In this episode you'll be able to witness the 3 concrete pour required to build a 3fts high and 20 fts wide concrete mini ramp. Thank you to everyone than contributed to make this dream a reality, this is just the beginning their is so much more to come in the future!
I have been dreaming of owning a piece of land to build a Skaters Paradise for a long time and now the biggest step, finding and buying the best spot is done! After many years of volunteer work a Projet 45, i will now put my acquired skills to the development of the Skateboard Ranch, some kind of Skateboarding retreat where one can get away from the city and the plague of the razor scooter in their local park. Like any DIY endeavour, The whole project will take some time to take shape but with a lot of hard work and help from my friends, I'm pretty sure this is the beginning of something unique.

I didn’t add any concrete since the ramp but i have been working on clearing more trails and new areas to build in the future.

Hey Sebastian, it was so great to watch all the episodes and to see a functioning ramp in the end. Amazing to realize how much work has to be put in there! Though now I (proably also others) miss a new episode, 8 Months (a winter (instagram shows the sesh), spring and summer has passed) are a lot of time, I am sure a lot has happened. Hey julian, i totally feel you, the last few months have been pretty hectic over here. I found a job and i’have been working a lot all summer so unfortunately not a lot has happened on the ranch. I have saving as much as can to be able to do a big push next spring. I have some footage for the dime ice challenge that i have to edit but its hard to find time with the job and all. I hope to get my head back in editing soon enough to at least give all you guys an update on the situation. Its a tough duality… need money to get everything going but when money is coming i don’t have as much time to work on the ranch… its hard to have both at the same time… like they say Rome wasn’t built in one day so i keep my head down and push through, i have high hopes for the futur! I’ll do my best to put out a new video as soon as possible. Thanks you for your interest, it really motivates me to get back in front of the computer 💻!

This series has been awesome to watch! Smashed out all the vids in one sitting, it was so easy and entertaining to watch. I loved all the wood clearing and path rebuilding, definitely need more videos on those! I'm also a skater and watching you work those concrete trannies was a blessing, keep up the good work man and I hope you are still going strong, can't wait for more episodes!

Glad to see another skater who has a berner. Well, I have 3 but still. They are the best dogs.
Dolly was definitely the best dog. Unfortunately she passed a little more than a year ago.

@@SkateboardRanch Sorry to hear. How old was Dolly? I've got a 8 year, 5 year, and 2 year old.
@patewok3649 hard to tell, she just showed up at the ranch one day. Brought her to the vet and they said she was probably 6 or 7 . I had her for 3 years so she must have been 9/10.
I tied to give her the best years of her life even tho i have no idea what her life was before.
She was so thin and dirty when i rescued her so it was an improvement thats for sure! Haha!
I like to think that she was roaming around and waiting for the best person for her and adopted me haha!

@@SkateboardRanch I’m a concrete finisher and that form work is very impressive. You must have done that a time or two.
First real attempt at filler free forms but i was a volunteer at a diy skatepark in Montreal (Projet 45) for almost 10 years. Thats where i learned the ins and outs of forms building and concrete finishing. Thanks for the good words, its an honor coming from a professional!
The extra concrete is a good filling material, so you don't lose anything.

Nice job! That's probably around 10 thousand dollars worth of concrete. And then all the effort and time you guys put into it also!
Roughly 8k in concrete, 1,5k in rebar and another 1.5k of wood for the forms.
All in canadian dollars 💸

I have just finished watching all episodes almost in one go- what a great series! I see it's been a while since you last put an episode oiut so I hope things are all good and fingers crossed we get to see some more progress on the ranch soon- you're making me want to go and build a mini ramp in my own garden that younger me would have dreamed of having!

10:20 I spent like 3 weeks waiting for a clear day to pour... literally never cared about the weather till I had to do concrete then it was the most stressful thing... I know this exact feel.
Haha! Weather can be your worst enemy when pouring concrete…. It was so stressful, but it part of the game haha! 😅

Just binged 1 thru 16 --- HOLY SHIT!!! Just crazy inspiring in sooooooooo many ways - the house looks beautiful (especially that kitchen) and the property is just begging for more!
